Consumer Complaint: Co-signed XXXX XXXX lease for my son with Gm Financial in XX/XX/XXXX.Total amount of lease totalled {$10.00}, XXXX. It is a 3 year lease. Credit Monitoring company had notified me by email on XXXX XXXX that my credit report drastically change, therefore lowering my credit score. As I looked into, I notice my balance on the car lease went from the original {$10000.00} to a staggering {$19000.00}. Now, let me explain first off that I paid almost the entire lease payments early- minus one last payment as you can not pay off the entire lease early without penalities so I left one last payment. My credit reports for the month of XXXX, and XXXX report only the lease payment balance. I mailed in a big check of XXXX in early XXXX, and then an additional payment on the XXXX of XXXX for $ XXXX totalling {$10000.00} I paid most of the lease off early as I am in the process of buying a house, and wanted to lessen the " debt '' on my credit report by paying down most of the LEASE. I called GM Financial at the end of XXXX as I was concerned they had not UPDATED the fact I made the big payments on my balance. I was informed by GM employee that they report to the Credit bureaus at the very end of the month XXXX or day after. When I checked my credit on XXXX, XXXX I noticed GM HAD NOT REPORTED THE LARGE PAYMENTS MADE 3 WEEKS PRIOR.Alarmed, I filed a DISPUTE with XXXX stating the fact that the original balance of XXXX should now reflect only {$290.00}. When I got the notice on XX/XX/XXXX from the monitoring agency that my balance went up drastically, I immediatley called GM and was told they must of reported the wrong balance and gave the credit agency the " RESIDUAL '' balance. I informed them that this was a LEASE. I did not sign any contracts stating I am buying the car at end of lease. I would trade it in. I AM NOT BUYING THE CAR. They never reported a Residual amount in the beginning yet they got confused when XXXX called regarding my complaint that I was not credited with making that XXXX, XXXX payment. When the clerk at XXXX asked GM lease employee what the balance owed was the person actually looked up the residual amount ( had i PURCHASED the car at end of lease and remember, they never reported in the past a residual fee. Always had a original balance of {$10000.00} on my LEASE. I can not get a home now because my debt to income ratio is now off the charts- I went from a balance of {$290.00} to {$19000.00}. GM Financial refuses to clear this up- they said it's a residual amount if i decide to buy itl. WELL, I AM NOT BUYING IT AND THEY NEVER REPORTED THAT AMOUNT PRIOR ... JUST THE LEASE BALANCE WHICH STARTED OFF AT {$10000.00}. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CORRECT THE BALANCE TO REFLECT THE AMOUNT OWED IS {$290.00}. I DO NOT OWE {$19000.00}

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX I sent letters to Gm Financial asking for copy 's of documentation related to the deficiency they claim I owe on a repossession. I never received the legal documentation that i requested so I sent a second letter requesting the same documentation. Their reply for the first and second letter was the same. They sent me a copy of a contract and a copy of a billing statement on both occasions. They also sent me two other letters which are included in my uploads. Under the laws of UCC 9.506 as well as State RISA and MVISA statutes, a deficiency can not be claimed unless all of the required notices were properly and timely given, and all of the allowable redemption and cure time limits were adhered to.They are required to provide me with copies of the legal notices and proof of the commercially reasonable manner of the notification and resale of the subject vehicle. I have never received any of these legal notices and documents. On the account payment history that they sent me it states that this account was charged off in XXXX.I did not receive this in XXXX and I still have not received them in XXXX even after 2 written request.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with the interest rate
Consumer Complaint: This is an unbelievable story and its why as a consumer, it is paramount you have all the conditions of a loan and/or lease at time of signing the documents. To make a long story shorter when getting a lease car at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was told to just get the lease started and then if I can find someone to co-sign at any point the lease terms would be much better because I had been the victim of identity theft and I'm still struggling to repair my credit score. Turns out that was a total lie by the salesman and also the manager XXXX. They were both lying and drove off in a car I couldn't afford because I thought I was going to be able to have my XXXX co sign the next day, which would have changed the monthly payments from {$430.00} to {$250.00}. I had been to the dealer 4 times that week and I was tired and foolishly I believed them. To make matters worse I had to leave my job because I was diagnosed with XXXX and had to start XXXX treatment at XXXX XXXX XXXX immediately. This really put me in a jam because going into this mess I was repairing my credit from identity theft and am up to date on my car lease now. Even though I made the lease agreement under false pretense 's I received a grant from a local XXXX foundation, and have paid my lease up to date. Unfortunately, I have called GM probably 50 times, they wont change the terms of my lease, and they wont update my credit report to say I paid in full. Please help me, I need my credit to reflect the truth which is that I am on time. Please help ASAP, I am going for an apartment in a special XXXX center and they will run my credit and it needs to be perfect. Thank you and XXXX bless.

Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: I moved from XXXX to XXXX State and changed my address with GM credit. My bills have been returned to the sender and one call was made to me to pay before the bill became past due. The problem continued to this day and I still have not received bills. GM credit reported me to the three credit agencies and told me I should have known the date. All payments were made by phone the day the call were received.. I've written them to have this taken off and they just send me verification of the loan without removing the late payments from the credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I lease a vehicle every 3-4 years and then trade it and get a new lease. I make sure that the return of the vehicle is in good shape and there are no mileage overages or any fees that I would be responsible for. XXXX XXXX is the dealership I work with every time. I just traded in a XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX takes care of the returning of the vehicle and paying off the remaining balance at the time I lease my new vehicle. I have never had a problem with this before. XXXX XXXX received the payoff amount from GM Financial and paid it. I never received anything from GM Financial except that my vehicle was returned and my balance was XXXX and the account was closed. I just got an alert from XXXX that my credit rating has gone down 45 points because GM Financial is reporting a delinquent amount of {$13.00}!!!! Are you kidding me? You are going to lower my credit rating over {$13.00}!?!?! All GM Financial has to do is call XXXX XXXX or myself and you can get the {$13.00}! I want my credit fixed asap!

Consumer Complaint: I turned in my lease for my XXXX XXXX XXXX with GM financial on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called GM financial to inquire when I would be receiving final amount due on the lease. They informed me that the payment had yet to be determined but I would be receiving a letter in the mail when it was finalized. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called in again to ask the status of the final amount due and was told that a letter had been sent to my previous address with a due date of XX/XX/XXXX. I asked for and was granted a 30 day extension from the XXXX to allow time for me to receive a new bill and to respond. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an electronic copy of the bill. I mailed a check with the full amount of {$2200.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. GM financial processed the check and the money was debited from my account on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notification from my credit monitoring service that the account had been reported as 30 days delinquent. A couple days later, the delinquent account status was replaced by a late payment derogatory mark. I have been corresponding with GM financial throughout the process. Their processes are slow and ineffective. On XX/XX/XXXX, they claimed a 30-45 day turnaround time to remove the mark. They promised a letter would be issued within 5-7 business days to allow me to show potential creditors that they were correcting an inaccurate report on my credit. As of this writing on XX/XX/XXXX, they have not yet done this. After yet another phone call, they are asking for another 5-6 business days to send out the letter. Meanwhile, my credit score has dropped 84 points from XXXX to XXXX. I no longer qualify for top tier automotive lending solely because of GMs incompetence.

Consumer Complaint: I'm tired of calling GM Financial because all they do say is that everything looks good on their end but they refuse to understand my request. I am in the process of buying a new home and GM financial continue to report a payment due for my lease end on my credit report. I've spoken to them multiple times and they advised me that its paid off on their end. I continue to request for them to remove this from my credit report because it is affecting my ability to get approved for a loan. I returned my lease in XXXX. Its been 5 months I been trying to get this fixed! My credit report is showing due {$840.00}, the exact amount for the lease end fee. However, I leased a new XXXX before returning my old one which waived all termination fees and excessive wear and tear. I spoke to 5 agents at GM Financial and even received a letter stating that my account is paid in full. If I lose my chance to purchase my home because of a simple issue like this, I will take further legal action.
