Consumer Complaint: I leased a vehicle through GM Financial Leasing. I returned my vehicle in XX/XX/2020. My final billing was sent for {$880.00} which includes the {$490.00} Disposition Fee and {$390.00} for Excess Wear and Tear. When I leased the vehicle through GM Financial, I purchased Excess Wear and Tear coverage to cover any extra fees at turn in such as the {$390.00}. I was not aware of having to file an insurance claim which I did. As a result, GMC received two checks. One personal check for {$490.00} and another check for {$390.00} from the insurance company. Both checks were received in XXXX by GM Financial, GM confirmed they received both checks, but one has yet to be applied to my account. It came to my attention at the beginning of XXXX that GM Financial reported my outstanding balance to the credit agencies dropping my credit by almost XXXX points. GM Financial wrongly reported me. I have talked with them multiple times weekly, with also asking to speak to a manager/supervisor, always with a response that one will have to call me back. I finally received a follow up call today but with the same response that they will research my account. This is having an impact on my personal life as I am trying to get a loan.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX for none payment. I schedule the payments myself when I first purchase the car over a year and a half ago, on GM web-site, to be made the XXXX of every month. The automatic payment didn't go trough and I did not knew the reason, I used the text service from GM to communicate with a representative and get this resolved. I also use the email service from GM to email a representative and find out the issue. But I was not able to resolve it, as it was like the representatives are either not paying attention to my concerns, or doing something else at the same time ... it was very hard for me to explain again and again the same issue I finally call GM on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX, I talk to XXXX XXXX ID XXXX. She was very professional, but for some reason, she did not understood that I was worry about identity theft, after she told me that the automatic payments was cancel by me, the customer. So, I make a new automatic payment setup, now for the XXXX, because the system didn't allow to go back in order to make the new and now due payment. I never been late and I'm in top of my credit. I'm worry about been reported as late and also worried about some one else canceling my automatic payments. I believe now there's two payment setup and I can not cancel any payment because I'm afraid to be late and cancel payment can not be done by any representative. It's very frustrating!

Consumer Complaint: I contacted GM Financial to extend my lease to get time to find financing. I was given a 2-mo extension and was told to call back as I can receive up to 6-mo ext of time. When I called back to extend the lease I was told that due to previous paying ( yes, I have been late due to divorce and COVID but my account was paid up to date when I made phone call ). I tried to purchase vehicle at a lower purchase price and was told that wasn't an option and that I was to return vehicle to dealership immediately. I wanted to purchase vehicle because the mileage was high. Since I was instructed to turn lease in, I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX and turned vehicle in. I was told by XXXX at XXXX that they would pay what was owed to GM Financial. Much to my dismay I was sent an XXXX invoice. I contacted GM Financial and told asked them why I was being charged this exorbant amount for vehicle. They informed me that I needed to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX for information. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and requested amount paid to GM Financial for the lease. I spoke with XXXX and later another supervisor. Both informed me that the information was classified and that I was not privy to the information. I believe GM Financial is trying to get from me more than the vehicle is even worth. If they had sold the vehicle to me directly I wouldn't be in the upside down position i am in. GM Financial should not be allowed to SQUEEZE every XXXX out of its clients. In these times of COVID, I am requesting that this be looked into and I be released from the XXXX debt that was added to my credit report. This is robbery at its finest with no one to account for it.

Consumer Complaint: I have been attempting to make principal reduction payments with GM Financial so that I can pay off my loan early and lessen the amount of interest I pay. There is no option to make a principal reduction when logged into my account online. I messaged a customer service associate for help and they told me to just make the payment and message them to apply it to principal. When I then did so they said they would apply to principal but could not provide me a confirmation. I asked how I could verify this and they it would appear on my statement. There is no statement available later than XXXX in my account online and when I view payment history there is no breakdown. Every time I try to follow up with customer service they do not answer my question and when I clarify my question they stop responding. I then tried to submit a complaint on this issues on the GM Financial website and it gave me a message that said my complaint could not be submitted and to call customer service. The problem here is that their customer service will not answer the phone. As a consumer I am entitled to transparency with my account, verification of how my payments are being applied, and account balances including principal and interest amounts, which I am not receiving any of.

Consumer Complaint: Through numerous phone calls to GM Financial, I am unable to get a copy of the contract or anything in writing from them. My car was totaled and my last 10 payments add up to XXXX. I owe from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Upon attempting to pay off the car GM is trying to get {$4400.00} from my insurance company. With no explanation other than it's interest. GM also refuses to account for over 2 years of payments in which every month I paid {$350.00} instead of {$340.00}. Usually when you pay a car off early it's cheaper, not more expensive. Can someone please help me as GM is obviously trying to take advantage of it's consumers and refuses to communicate via email. GM will only communicate via phone and I get a different answer every time I speak with someone at GM. This time I am trying to deal with the " total loss department ''. Respectfully, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new truck from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX Florida on XX/XX/2020. They financed it through GM Financial with the first payment of due on XX/XX/2020.It was a 84 month loan. I didn't hear anything from them about where to send the payment, account number or any communications at all. On XX/XX/2020 I contacted their customer service for information and was told I wasn't in their books at all. Not with vehicle vin #, SS #, or name. They did contact the dealer and was made aware I did purchase the vehicle. I was to receive a call back that afternoon about what had to be done. I didn't receive a call and didn't receive a call on the XXXX. I called their customer service again on the XXXX and went through the same routine, not in the system. This time I was told the paperwork from the dealer had been sent to them but they didn't have it. I was to get a call back that afternoon on the status of my problem. No call again, so I called them again on the XXXX, went through the same no account drill. I told them my payment date would have to be mover out because there was no way I could make the payment on time. I was told I had to make the payment to the dealer. I asked for an e-mail explaining what I had to do and where I was to send the payment. I am still waiting on that e-mail. On the XXXX, I called the dealer to get the information as to where I was to send the payment. They asked for me to bring them cash but I refused. It is about 50 miles one way from my house to the dealer. I mailed the check the morning of the XXXX. On the XXXX I received a call from the salesman who sold me the car informing me GM Financial had lost the paperwork and I needed to come in and sign a new contract with all of the same information. I told him the next free day I had was Friday the XXXX. We agreed on that and I continued my tasks for that day. On the XXXX the salesman called me back telling me GM Financial had found the paperwork and I didn't have to come in. I kept checking my bank account looking for the check to clear but never found it. I called the dealership this morning, the XXXX, and they did have the check and would deposit it today. He also informed me that they had made the payment earlier and that check was to reimburse them although it was GM Financial who instructed me to send it to the dealer.

Consumer Complaint: I had a truck loan that i never missed a payment on. I paid it every month from XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX. It was paid in full and i had even put on new rims and other accessories. The company in question came and took the vehicle and said that i hadn't made payments. I had paid it from different accounts each month and i no longer have the record of it because it was so long ago but it was paid in full. Now i see that it is on my credit as a charge off for XXXX dollars no less. I have tried to get this fixed with the company in question but had no success. At the time we got tired of fighting it with them and didn't know what to do so we accepted that we just lost a vehicle but now that we see they are showing we still owe XXXX it has gone to far and we don't know where to turn short of getting a lawyer. This has been extremely stressful. We owe nothing at the very least. Please help.
