Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/2023 I've sent out a follow up dispute dispute to Experian regarding an account that's reporting inaccurately on my consumer report. Experian responded that this information was verified and accurate in which still today XX/XX/2023 there are multiple inaccuracies reporting. I firmly believe that it is their duty to fully investigate a consumer 's dispute and provide fair and equitable results. If they investigated this account how is there still inaccuracies reporting? This account reports to all 3 major reporting agencies which all have different information reporting which violates 15 U.S. Code 1681- Congressional findings and statement of purpose. The payment history that Experian is reporting is different than what XXXX and XXXX is reporting in which they all should be the same which is a billing error. I asked Experian to provide all of the documents thats verified this account and nowhere in the agreement with the creditor was there an option for me to opt out of this information being shared with anybody in which according to15 U.S. Code 6802 - Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information, subsection ( b ) Opt out, I have a right to exercise that non disclosure option. I am requesting to exercise my option to opt out of this information being reported to anyone. They are not being compliant by reporting inaccurate information even after sending in multiple dispute letters and responding to me " Verified ''. I never gave Experian the consent to furnish a consumer report of me containing my personal information nor did I give them permission to share my information with anybody. Included in this complaint is a copy of my follow up dispute letter, my final dispute letter, a copy of my consumer report with the account disputed. Violations committed by Experian : 15 U.S. Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports 15 U.S. Code 1681 - Congressional findings and statement of purpose 15 U.S. Code 1681e - Compliance procedures 15 U.S. Code 6802 - Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information 15 U.S. Code 1681a - Definitions ; rules of construction 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy 15 U.S. Code 1666 - Correction of billing errors

Issue: Problem with fraud alerts or security freezes
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I called three different phone nos. I have, to reach Experian 's Customer Service department. The reason for my call was to immediately reinstate the Freeze on my Credit Report, rather than to wait until the temporary removal period I requested on XX/XX/XXXX expires, and the Credit Freeze is automatically reinstated on XX/XX/XXXX. I wasted an hour trying numerous different times, at the three different phone Nos. I have for Experian 's Customer Service department, to get through to a human Customer Service agent, because Experian 's Customer Service phone contact method robotic voice response menu system does not offer a choice for what I need to ask Experian to do for me -- which is immediately reinstate the Freeze on my credit report. I tried navigating the voice response menu system to do this, but there is no way to do so. When I asked to speak to a representative or agent, the voice response system said it could not transfer me to a live agent, because it was only allowed to let me through for limited reasons. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! No business or agency that controls records that affect a person 's ability to obtain credit, or to do anything else that a person is legally allowed to do, has a right or can legally refuse to allow that person to talk to someone at that business or agency about a matter affecting their ability to obtain credit. My inability to talk to someone at Experian could affect my ability to obtain credit in two ways : ( 1 ) If I am unable to immediately reinstate the Freeze on my Credit Report, and a fraudster takes out credit in my name, using my credit history and identity, and runs up a huge debt in my name, this could impact my aboveXXXX credit score and ruin my credit history, making it much harder or impossible for me to obtain credit in the future. ( 2 ) If I am unable to lift the Freeze on my Credit Report temporarily, so that a creditor with whom I have applied for credit may see my Credit Report, I can not receive a new extension of credit from that creditor. Experian needs to immediately ( not two years or two months or two weeks from now, but NOW ) reprogram their phone answering voice response menu system to offer a person calling in to talk to Customer Service, an easy, immediately available method to reach a human Customer Service agent. Such as, " You may dial '0 ' at any time to reach a live agent. '' ALL other companies I have dealt with ( thousands of them ) do this. It can not possibly be legal, and it is certainly not acceptable, for Experian to be able to block people from getting through to a live Customer Service agent. My previous CFBP Complaint No. XXXX, from XX/XX/XXXX, also mentioned this same issue. That complaint was about not being able to get FALSE information removed from my Credit Report. I have also complained twice directly to Experian about this. My most recent complaint was on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, in a Customer Service survey response. Experian has done nothing to address this problem in the 2-1/2 years since I originally brought this to their attention through the above-mentioned CFBP Complaint ( there was no other way to bring it to their attention, because you can not get through to them to report this issue ). The phone voice response menu system has not been re-programmed to offer a means to get to a live agent.

Consumer Complaint: I looked at my report back on XX/XX/XXXX, and noticed some things are incomplete and not accurate. I sent a letter to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and asked them to investigate the completeness and accuracy. I received the results and noticed they did not fix nothing. There are breaking Federal law According to 15 USC 1681e ( b ) it states this ( b ) Accuracy of report Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. According to 15 USC 1681 ( 5 ) it states this ( 5 ) Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information ( A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( 1 ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall ( i ) promptly delete that item of information from the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the reinvestigation; and ( * ) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the file of the consumer. According to 15 USC 1681s-2 it states this. ( A ) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ( B ) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if ( i ) the person has been notified by the consumer, at the address specified by the person for such notices, that specific information is inaccurate; and ( ii ) the information is, in fact, inaccurate. This is unfair and if they are doing this to me imagine who else they are doing this too. Please fix
