Consumer Complaint: Experian put a Collection notice on my credit report of XX/XX/2023 from XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$1600.00}. This was noted as from 5 years ago as when the last payment/money was due, per XXXX. I called XXXX and wrote them the same day and they have not yet ever responded. I also filed a dispute with Experian, which resulted in Experian stating that XXXX just verified the Collection ; but, did not provide any documentation, proof or law. Section 337 of the CA Code limits the Statute of Limitations on a contract to 4 yers from the time of the last due payment. You should direct Experian, as a matter of law, should remove the notice. You should direct XXXX too. I do not know who these creditors are or what their issues may be. But, what I do know is they are exactly why we have your agency to insure they do not take advantage of consumers.
