Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Consumer Complaint: I requested XXXX XXXX to research and fix the late payment reporting from XXXX, XXXX & XX/XX/2023 from their error of sending my electronic bill to the wrong email address. They promised me they would fix it XX/XX/2023 and it's still not fixed. They added an extra 2 to my email address and I never got the bill, when I realized it was already behind by 3 mo and my online access was not working so I called them, explained the issue, they apologized, fixed my email, I then changed back to getting a physical bill and they promised since it was their error it would not affect my credit. They didn't fix it and it is affecting my credit and my ability to close on my house and I am at risk of losing my earnest money. I have called XXXX XXXX multiple times now to get this issue fixed and have only met with dead ends and " we can't do anything about this ''. I have asked it to be escalated to a supervisor 3 times now and was told the last time they would respond by email within 2-5 business days and it's now been over 7 business days, so I called again today and I'm filing this complaint with the CFPB. Even if they remove the wrong report of the 90 day late payment it will help me from losing my money and they can look further into the others later. But if they assured me they would correct it because of their mistake then I should not be suffering and spending needless time and resources to fix their error. I have also filled disputes with all three credit bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute for incorrect information on my credit report. I received an email from the credit bureau stating that they are assuming the disputes are coming from a 3rd party. They in fact did not come from a 3rd party. l even called them to verify it was me and they still refused to process my disputes. I wasted money on mailing my disputes out. I sent personal information to verify my identity through mail, just for them to not thoroughly investigate.
