Consumer Complaint: Subject : REMOVAL OF DISPUTED ACCOUNT ON CREDIT REPORT- FCRA VILATION. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally request the removal of an disputed account account that appears on my credit report, specifically regarding an account associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX As per my rights under the FCRA law. I am requesting Equifax Credit Reporting Agency immediate attention attention to this matter and the necessary steps to rectify this situation. Upon reviewing my credit report, obtained from Equifax Reporting Agency. I noticed an account listed under the name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, I don't have no financial or business dealings with this company. I have repeatedly tried to call the company several times and they refused to talk to me about this alleged account. This discrepancy has raised serious concerns regarding the accuracy and legitimacy of the reported information. According to the FCRA Section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), Equifax are required to conduct a reasonable investigation into a disputed information upon receipt of a consumer 's notification of dispute. I did not receive any documentation or response to method of verification of the validity establishing my contractual obligation with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is a violation of my consumer rights under the FCRA law. I also remind Equifax of their obligations under the FCRA law Section 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( A ), which states that information is found to be inaccurate or can not be verified, Equifax must promptly remove or delete the disputed information from my credit report. Therefore, if Equifax is unable to provide the requested accuracy of the report, information can not be substantiated, I expect the immediate removal of this account from my credit report. I also request Equifax to provide an outline of the results of any actions taken. Failure to comply with these obligations may result in legal consequences, including potential liability for damages. I expect Equifax 's prompt attention to this matter into this disputed account. Failure to address this dispute appropriately will leave me no choice but to pursue all available legal remedies to protect my consumer rights under the FCRA law. Thank you for your immediate attention in this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: As per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, it is essential to ensure that consumer reporting agencies carry out their duties fairly, impartially, and with respect for consumer privacy rights. XXXX Equifax and XXXX, as consumer reporting agencies, are obligated to respect my privacy, as stated in 15 USC 6801. Furthermore, according to 15 USC 1681, these agencies must only furnish a consumer report based on the consumer 's written instructions, to which they do not have my consent. Additionally, 15 USC 6802 requires a financial institution to provide an explanation of how a consumer can exercise the nondisclosure option, which has not been provided to me. The agencies are also reporting adverse information without my permission, which is in violation of the law. Moreover, they are not maintaining reasonable procedures as required by 15 U.S. Code 1681e, and I am choosing to opt out of their reporting services, as allowed by 12 CFR 1016.7.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is directed towards the Credit Reporting Company, Equifax, and is in relation to my previous complaint against XXXX regarding the same XXXX loan account. My previous complaint ID was XXXX. The XXXX loan in question belonged to my late mother who passed away on XX/XX/2023. I was the co-signor on the account. Previously, XXXX would not update balance information on my credit report after the loan was discharged. They responded in writing confirming the loan was discharged due to her death with a XXXX balance. However, this information was still not updated with XXXX, XXXX, and Equifax, so I had to utilize the dispute process to request corrections on this account with all three bureaus. XXXX and Equifax initially corrected the information. However, XXXX did not. Therefore, I initiated another dispute which resulted in the balance being corrected, but in me being incorrectly reported as deceased. XXXX is currently doing an internal review to correct this for which I submitted a separate complaint with the CFPB. However, it seems Equifax caught wind of this and is now also incorrectly reporting me as deceased. I just spoke to them and have been advised to submit another dispute. At this point I've submitted numerous disputes in an effort to get this information corrected and feel I have no choice but to ask the CFPB to intervene on my behalf.

Equifax is blindly going off of what these fraudulent creditors are telling them and none of them can provide a complete account number.
