Consumer Complaint: Thursday XX/XX/24, Midland Credit Managemenr illegally added a derogatory report to my credit file. This company must be stopped. They send emails to my personal email and harass for money. I do not pay collection agencies especially when I do not owe them. I need them to prove they have the right to contact me in Florida and that their statutes allow them to harass me for an old debt that was purchased by them. I have contacted their state Attorney General in their state to do the following : 1 ) inform Midland not to contact me about a debt due to the pandemic. Additionally, I have received no correspondence from this company. The amount they claim I owe is exaggerated with over XXXX dollars in their fees and they are attempting to collect and they are a illegal collection agency. They placed a collection on my credit report without communication with me. According to the Bureau of Consumer Protection their collection process is erroneous and Midland Credit Managemenr must prove they have a right to : 1 ) Add fees of their own to the payment believed to be owed 2 ) Collect from a consumer in the state of Florida. 3 ) Attempt to collect any monies after the Attorney Generals office interrupted the process. 4 ) Prove they provided documents to me. If they continue to do illegal practices I will sue them in small claims court. I certainly will not deal with bullying or discrimination due to my financial status. I will contact Help me XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX because this company conducted soft pulls on my credit and constantly review my credit. This is harassment and illegal. I guess they figured theyd use a scare tactic but what they did is against the law.

Consumer Complaint: I have disputed through XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. It comes back accurate for this account through Midland Credit Management. Account # XXXX Amount {$2900.00}. I have no knowledge of this account. I have sent certified mail to all three bureaus requesting Midland Credit Management to provide documentation and or contract with my signature on this debt and they have not responded. I will attach one of the letters I have sent with this complaint. They are reporting this debt as an OPEN account which is not accurate at all. Also the date of first delinquency is older than the date the account was open. This is inaccurate reporting according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Please investigate this as this is hurting my credit.

Consumer Complaint: This is an Opt-Out Demand. The account in question violates my rights as a consumer and pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) as a federally protected consumer, I am now opting out of any and all authorization I the consumer may have given you written, unwritten, verbal and non-verbal pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 6801 6805 effective immediately and indefinitely concerning the account in question below. In addition to said legal authority, this entity has failed to comply with 16 CFR 313.4 313.9 and is currently in violation of said legal authority. Ive attached a copy of the Privacy Act of 1974 to clarify any confusion as to my rights as a federally protected consumer concerning this matter. I am also prepared in addition to enforcement warranted by the CFPB, to file suit in the proper jurisdiction to enforce my rights where this complaint will serve as evidentiary documentation.

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Exercise of Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Revocation of Consent to Furnish Personal Information To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally assert my rights as a consumer under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and to express my concerns regarding the handling of my personal and financial information by consumer reporting agencies, specifically XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, as well as any associated financial institutions furnishing information to these agencies. As outlined in 15 USC 1681, Section 602 ( a ), the FCRA emphasizes the importance of consumer reporting agencies upholding their serious responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for consumer privacy. It has come to my attention that my rights, as protected under this act, may not have been fully honored. Furthermore, 15 USC 6801 enunciates the congressional policy mandating financial institutions to respect the privacy of their customers and safeguard the confidentiality of their nonpublic personal information. As a consumer, I am entitled to have my privacy respected and my information protected. Under 15 USC 1681, Section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ), it is specified that a consumer reporting agency may only furnish a consumer report with the explicit written consent of the consumer. I hereby declare that I have not provided written consent to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, or any furnisher of information to these agencies, and I am exercising my right to revoke any presumed consent, whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied, or otherwise. Additionally, as per 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ), a financial institution is prohibited from disclosing nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer has been informed of their right to opt out and has been given an opportunity to do so. I have not been appropriately informed of this right by the furnisher of information to the credit agencies. Moreover, 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) restricts the reporting of adverse information exceeding seven years in age. It appears this provision may have been disregarded in my case. 15 USC 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) obligates furnishers of information to refrain from providing data to consumer reporting agencies if they know or have reason to believe the information is inaccurate. A consumer reporting agency must also maintain reasonable procedures to prevent violations of Section 1681c, as per 15 USC 1681e. In light of these considerations and in accordance with 12 CFR 1016.7, which states that a consumer may opt out at any time, I am formally opting out of your reporting services and requesting the cessation of any further dissemination of my information by XXXX, XXXX, or any related financial institutions. I expect a timely response confirming that my request has been honored and detailing the steps taken to remove my personal information from your records and prevent future disclosures. Please consider this letter as an official complaint to be filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), and take immediate action to rectify any noncompliance with the aforementioned legal provisions. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious matter.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I received a letter to collect from Midland Credit Management Inc. I sent two validation letters to the company. Where they did not give proper documentation. While I was Disputing this information they have been reporting it, without validating it. Completely disregarding my rights under Fair Credit Reporting Act ( ERCA ) 15 US.C $ 1681s-2. This company has not given the proper documentation of the right to collect this debt in my state. They could not provide me a California License Number. And as you can see in letters. They stated its pending. This company also did not provide me an itemized breakdown of the proper fees and interest, and how it got to this alleged debt. They gave me two months of statements ( one from XXXX XXXX- XXXX XXXX where balance was only at {$500.00} ) and ( Second from XXXX XXXX- XXXX XXXX were the balance was now {$890.00} ).
