Consumer Complaint: I unfortunately had two accounts acquired by Midland Credit Management following my XXXX XXXX. Despite bringing to their attention the inaccuracies in the information they report, they persist in providing false details. Multiple disputes have been initiated, yet the credit bureaus insist on validating the erroneous information. I can substantiate that account XXXX XXXX has been fully settled through garnishment ( although I was never served with court documents for any court action ), and I have been consistently making payments via their website, none of which are accurately reflected. Additionally, monthly payments made on account XXXX XXXX through their website do not accurately reflect the correct balance. Their fraudulent reporting persists, and the credit bureaus fail to diligently rectify the situation, allowing this deceptive activity to persist. Additionally, they persist in asserting that the account is open and active, even though it is not.

Consumer Complaint: I got a certified letter in the mail from Midland Credit Management Inc about a credit card I never had from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was married back in XXXX and legally changed my name from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. This account was opened in XXXX. There should have been identity precautions in place to stop someone from opening an account in my maiden name. I will be making a police report today as well. I have been in at least three security breaches in the past five years. I would like this taken care of asap. I can provide XXXX XXXX etc if needed.

Consumer Complaint: Dear MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT I've noticed you have been reporting my information to the 3rd party credit bureaus which are on my credit report XXXX I never gave you Consent to do so which is in violation. 15 U.S. Code 6801- Protection of nonpublic personal information a ) Privacy obligation policy It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. ( b ) Financial institutions safeguards In furtherance of the policy in subsection ( a ), each agency or authority described in section 6805 ( a ) of this title, other than the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, shall establish appropriate standards for the financial institutions subject to their jurisdiction relating to administrative, technical, and physical safeguards ( 1 ) to insure the security and confidentiality of customer records and information ; ( 2 ) to protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such records ; and ( 3 ) to protect against unauthorized access to or use of such records or information which could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any customer. 15 U.S. Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports ( a ) In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : ( 1 ) In response to the order of a court having jurisdiction to issue such an order, a subpoena issued in connection with proceedings before a Federal grand jury, or a subpoena issued in accordance with section 5318 of title 31 or section 3486 of title 18.
