Consumer Complaint: I am very sorry, that I was unable to fulfill my obligation to the original creditor for credit. If the original creditor is not seeking their money I do not believe that a, third-party fourth party, fifth party, should have the ability to collect money that the original creditor has already written that loan off. I dont understand whos getting the money the collection agency with no skin in the game or the original creditor that doesnt want it because XXXX write it off on their Texas. All Im asking for is to remove this collection from my credit report. The account was closed on XX/XX/2020. Charged off account : Account closed by credit grantor Amount was XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Midland is reporting in my credit file however it is inaccurate because it was said to be late, yet all the payments are OK. I do not think that this is mine. I did my research on what to do because it is affecting my scores to badly, I asked for documents, disclosure and where did the account come from but they failed to provide me, so I came online and researched. The plaintiff is asking the same thing that I wanted and at the end of it all the plaintiff won this case. I am talking about the Texas VS Midland Funding Case. I have learned that Midland claims to have a disclosure and an agreement that there is a Consumer Agreement for all who they are collecting from. I guarantee you that there is no such thing that I have agreed upon to.

Consumer Complaint: Asset acceptance filed a judgement lien on credit card debt that is about 25 years old and I havent paid on it for as long. They used for {$26000.00}. I cant remember the origional debt but it must have been 1/4 that amount. They dont notify about court cases and I dont see how they can try to collect on an ancient debt. They've already intercepted federal tax refunds when the debt was so old. They know most people can hire an attorney to fight these issues. They must have lied to the judge about the age of the debt.

Consumer Complaint: I wrote to you about Midland Credit and instead of making a written payment plan or agreeing to my previous letter. They responded by stating to call. I now have called 4 times. The last time I was on hold for nearly an hour with no one answering and each time I have called I have been on hold for 30 minutes or longer. I need help getting this company to comply by sending me a letter of resolution with a payment plan on both accounts or the agreement that I sent them in writing. Is there another agency that this can be elevated to. The behavior is deceptive by asking me to call and no one answering all week. Please let me know my options.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I received a Notice of Court Proceeding to Collect Debt today via certified mail, from Midland Funding. The notice says Midland sued me in the XXXX Ohio Municipal Court and won a judgment for {$460.00}, on XX/XX/XXXX. I have no knowledge of this alleged judgment. I looked at the XXXX Court records and the only lawsuit filed against me by Midland in XXXX, was for a different amount, on a different date, and was dismissed in XXXX for want of prosecution. I do not know what that suit was for either, but it is clearly not the same as this debt Midland is trying to collect. I don't understand how Midland can attempt to garnish my paychecks over a debt I have not been sued for and for which they have not proved that I owe. I do not know what the alleged original debt is for.

Consumer Complaint: Midland XXXX claims I owe, they called my son telling him how they will take his mother to jail. I did a debt consolidation and completed 2 years ago with all debts ever owed settled except for School and Mortgage. I disputed 5 or 6 times even sending proof that they are recirculating a 2016 account that was settled and closed but they keep saying not true.

Consumer Complaint: Midland credit collection agency has placed and erroneous amount on all three of my credit bureaus stating that i have charged in the amount of {$530.00} dollars i only charged {$58.00} dollars on this account, midland credit has inflated the original credit amount of XXXX and turned it into {$530.00} dollars they have charged me a 50 % percent increased i never ever charged that amount, i would like for midland credit to provide the original contract with my signature and the credit amount that was issued to me. I am requesting this company to validate this debt, provide the original signed contract and the fees which made the original amount increase by % 51 percent. They have falsified this information on all three credit reports and for there dishonesty this account should be deleted in its entirety.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a XXXX letter from Midland regarding a charged off XXXX account that I could no longer pay due to hardship in XXXX for the amount of XXXX which more likely includes collection fees. At the time I explained that I could not pay due to dealing w the death of a parent and am currently dealing w my fathers illness that is ongoing. When I offered to settle the account for 20 % I was told that want acceptable and the harassment through calls and now letters continue. I am also dealing with the side effects of major surgery. Midland had not sent me any additional letter until today as we have issues w the mail. And I have not gotten a bill from XXXX since XXXX
