Consumer Complaint: Midland is reporting in my credit file however it is inaccurate because it was said to be late, yet all the payments are OK. I do not think that this is mine. I did my research on what to do because it is affecting my scores to badly, I asked for documents, disclosure and where did the account come from but they failed to provide me, so I came online and researched. The plaintiff is asking the same thing that I wanted and at the end of it all the plaintiff won this case. I am talking about the Texas XXXX Midland Funding XXXX. I have learned that Midland claims to have a disclosure and an agreement that there is a Consumer Agreement for all who they are collecting from. I guarantee you that there is no such thing that I have agreed upon to.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/2021, I sent 4 Certified letters to Midland Credit Management Services regarding some collection accounts they claimed I owed. In my letters to them, I requested several specific items as to why they think owed the debt. I asked for name, address, account number and amount owed. I also asked for original creditor info, amount owed to creditor at the time it was transferred to them. I asked for verification and documentation that there was a valid basis for claiming that i am required to pay the debt to the original creditor ( ex ; some type of written agreement ). I asked for a copy of the last billing statement from original creditor, any interest, fees, or other charges. I asked for them to provide proof of a debt collection license in Texas with license number, date of the license, name, address, and telephone number of the state agency issuing the license. I know they have 30 days to respond to my certified letters so i waited 45 days and did not receive any response from them. At that time I asked them to delete this inaccurate info from my credit reports and yet they refused. On XX/XX/2021 I sent out a 2nd round of the same 4 Certified letters ( 1 for each collection account they are claiming I owe them for ) and today makes 44 days and I still have not received anything from the collection agency. I made a complaint recently with CFPB and the only thing Midland Credit Management said was " This information is accurate ''. I didn't them to verify my name and address, I asked for a thorough investigation and to provide me with the specific information i requested but after almost 90 days, and 2 rounds of certified letters, they still have not provided me with the information i requested.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I made several attempts to request a debt validation letter and supporting signed documentation via the midlandmanagement.com website and when I called to request a debt validation letter and supporting signed documentation I was refused. The company is refusing to provide me with a debt validation letter. They are instead forcing me to tell them that I will not get an attorney involved in order for them to do so. This is fraud as they can not prove the debt. They won't allow you to do anything to understand if the debt is valid and they ask you for a lot of identifying information up front including a social security number.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to have an investigation opened in regard an account on my credit report that does not belong to me.I was notified through a housing counselor while attempting to purchase a home, that there is an outstanding balance for a credit card that I never had had. The counselor advised me of the negative accounts with this one in-particular being an issue. I have since rectified one and am having difficulty getting the last one laid to rest. The account in question is from Midland Funding. The amount is {$810.00}, which from my last look at my report today has occurred new amount as of today XX/XX/2021 of {$810.00}. I have have taken the liberty of contacting the credit card company once I had the name ; I spoke directly to a supervisor to get clarity on the matter. I was notified that the account was sold. I let the supervisor know that I was not aware of this fraudulent activity until recent. I would like for a fraud case to be opened on my behalf. The account I feel should be opened for more than three reasons. # 1. Inaccurate information and dates. # 2. Identity theft and # 3 Inaccurate documentation. They even reached out to me during my Grandmothers funeral. Which I had told the same person before. They said they wouldnt contact me, now I have a hard mark on my credit report. Even after attempting to pay. They use their influence to harass and depress even more during a pandemic and my Grandmothers death. Per your current request, the above-referenced account has been marked Cease and Desist. While it remains due and owing, we will no longer contact you unless required by law. Consumer Complaint: This particular debt collection agency XXXX MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT ) is reporting fraudulent information to the credit bureaus. I have asked for particular documents relating to the fraudulent account. The following information I've asked for and never received are as follows : 1 ) THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT 2 ) THE PAY OFF DISCLOSURE 3 ) THE INTEREST RATE DISCLOSURE 4 ) THE BALANCE HISTORY 5 ) THE PAYMENT HISTORY 6 ) THE CREDIT INSURANCE 7 ) MY WET SIGNATURE I have contacted the agency twice. The first time I was told that the information was mailed out, but it was sent to an address that I've never lived ( fraudulent address ) .So I gave the agency my actual address and noted that the account on file is fraudulent. They said they were going to do an investigation and they would also send the documents that I requested. They mailed me the investigation results, but NO DOCUMENTS. The second time I called, I asked for the documents again. The agency said they would mail out the documents, and that it would take 7-10 days for me to receive them. It has been over 30 days during this process and I still haven't received what I have asked for.
