Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX and I went to prison on XXXX and I was released XXXX of XXXX. Midland credit Management sent me and filed with the credit bureaus that I owe {$560.00} to XXXX and Midland. I blocked my card at a XXXX XXXX and was told no charges would be allowed on the card until I reactivated the card. I did this because I was going to be in prison and I did this for this exact reason. I contacted Midland and they told me the card was used and someone paid some of the balance through XXXX. I did not authorize this and the card was locked. I don't know how this happened, the card was locked. When the card was locked in XXXX XXXX I had a limit of {$2000.00}, a credit of {$5.00} owed to me and rewards in the balance of {$690.00} which XXXX never returned to me. I have sent paperwork to XXXX and Midland to show that I was in prison and I had locked my card but nothing has been done.

Consumer Complaint: After 2 written letters to this company in the past year, multiple phone calls I have initiated and no answers ( Probably over 50 in total ), the company never has answered the calls and 2 complaints through this site the CFPB, I still have no resolution. The response was that they are accredited and they will no longer contact me via phone and will be direct mail only. This was never the issue, the issue is that they will not make/negotiate nor accept a lower amount of payment for the 2 accounts, nor respond to my written letters, nor can I contact them via phone call. This is ruining my credit and I will be contacting an attorney soon in the matter. They state that they are good with the XXXX and then I find this on the XXXX XXXX XXXX, Government Action : Consumer Financial Protection Bureau v Midland Credit Management Inc.. I want an immediate and financial amount to resolve the 2 accounts. The distraction techniques and ruining and extending my credit issues has gone on too long. I also will extend communication to the original creditors and explain the tactics, delaying and complicate behavior to them. My email address for immediate resolution is XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Im confused and stressed and shocked when I reviewed my credit report this week and I found multiple inaccuracies on my credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus from a collection company that I never have dealt with before. I've attempted several times to ratify the issue with the original creditors and credit bureaus and they still reporting inaccurate, unverifiable information. I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6. Please provide a complete account history, including any charges added for collection activity. You have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to provide strict proof of contract. In the event you can not provide strict proof of contract, you must cease and desist any and all collection efforts and immediately remove any derogatory information reported to the consumer reporting agencies. In addition, you will need to provide me your agreement, in writing, that you are closing your file, ceasing collecting activity, and deleting all information related to this reference number from any and all credit reports youve furnished the information to. Consumer Complaint: This account is involved in litigation for fraudulent practices according to my FCRA rights. I have not supplied proof under the doctrine of estoppel by silence, Engelhardt v. Gravens ( Mo ) 281 SW 715, 719, I may presume that no proof of the alleged debt, nor therefore any such debt, in fact exists. Note that the collector has to stop all collection activities until it can provide all the evidence. Under the FDCPA Section 809, Validation of debts [ 15 USC 1692g ] I have the right to verify any alleged debt on my credit report and if the alleged debt is being disputed, the debt collector shall cease.

Consumer Complaint: Midland Funding continues to send me collection letters, call me from random numbers and show on my credit reports but I do not have an agreement to pay them, nor have I entered into a contract with this company. I have repeatedly requested the credit bureaus to remove the inaccurate information as I have never owed and do not now owe Midland Funding! If I have bad debt with another organization, they need to contact me for settlement, not this company. Why would I agree to pay a company I have never entered an agreement with? Allegedly, they are debt buyers and purchase unwanted or written off debt from other companies - THATS THEIR PROBLEM! How can you collect money on behalf of someone else? Excuse me, you didn't pay XXXX 's so I went ahead and paid some of it so now you owe me? NOOOOOOOOO If this does not disappear from my credit report, I will be suing this company!

Consumer Complaint: Midland - Asset Acceptance, the collection company says I opened a XXXX XXXX credit card in 2006 which I did not. they are are now garnishing my wages and say I owe them over $ XXXX - they can't tell how much it was originally opened for. they have levied my checking acct in the past. I have asked for YEARS to have any kind of proof that i opened it and they have none. They say the burden of proof is on me and I have to file a fraud report. I NEED help. I didn't open this and my credit was bad at the time - no one would have given me a cc for a big amount.
