Consumer Complaint: Recently in XXXX I checked my credit score and noticed it was low. It stated I had a deliquency from Midland Credit. I received mail from them before but assumed it was spam mail. In late XXXX or early XXXX, once finding out about my credit score I gave Midland Credit a call and they stated that it is from a credit card from XXXXXXXX XXXX which I never have because I have my trusted bank XXXX credit card. They stated that these charges dated back since XXXX. I believe this may have been an act of identity theft. I never applied for any cards. I tried to dispute the claim with Midland Credit but was denied. I called again recently in XXXX to continue disputing and referred me to this website. For years this credit score is ruining opportunities.

Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: Midland credit Management is attempting to collect a debt that I do not owe them. It specifically says debt buyer on my credit report, which means they purchased my personal information without my consent or knowledge which is considered identity theft. 15usc 1681e ( b ) suggests i should have maximum accuracy over my credit report and the things that they are reporting. They can not provide a binding contract between myself and Midland saying I agree to do business with them or owe them anything. Them providing copies from the original creditor is not proof I owe Midland. According to the Constitution, the only way you can pay a debit is with silver and gold! Everything they are reporting does not meet the FCRA 15usc 1692 g.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted me by mail XX/XX/2023. When I received it I had no idea what it was even in regards to. I contacted them telling them it was not my debt. I then sent out two debt validation letters. The company had XXXX XXXX contact me again, she told me I would owe all attorneys fees and court cost and that If I didnt pay I would go to jail. She used abusive language and profanity. I told her I was never even served to go to court or received anything about court. She advised me I didnt need to get that, that I needed to pay them now. She advised me they can call my job and take my paychecks.

My relative started asking more questions and the law firm stated if I did not reach out to them they were going to send the summons to another employer listed as the government in Washington DC. and the file number is XXXX. The lawyer stated a civil complaint is against my license and was used to get something. Consumer Complaint: I have a {$550.00} debt from Midland Funding, LLC which i think is XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX... I didn't firsthand remember evening taking funding from them, but since I seen it on my Credit profile decided to settle the debt because I didn't know much about disputing at the time... As of today it's still on my credit file and I want it off, I've disputed it settled on XXXX XXXX and also XX/XX/XXXX... and it's coming back accurate. I don't mind paying debts I know that is mine, as I'm trying to clean up my credit, but this is inaccurate and I want it off my credit profile.
