Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem accessing account
Consumer Complaint: Here is a more professional version : I have recently experienced ongoing issues when attempting to use XXXX through my Discover account, both in the mobile application and on the website. Each time I try to access XXXX, I receive an error message stating that the function is currently unavailable. Afterward, when I log out and attempt to log back in to my Discover online account, the system locks my profile and I have to contact customer service to get it unlocked. I have spoken to several Discover account specialists about this problem. They informed me that an issue with XXXX integration is preventing access and submitted tickets to resolve it. However, despite calling back numerous times over a period of weeks as instructed, the problem persists. Each XXXX has to re-create and re-submit tickets, but XXXX remains inaccessible and my online profile continues having to be unlocked whenever I get logged out. I am concerned that this ongoing technical issue has yet to be resolved despite my contacting Discover on XXXX occasions and cooperating with their troubleshooting instructions. I would greatly appreciate it if the matter could be escalated and prioritized so I can regain full access to my online account features without further disruption. Please let me know if XXXX other information is needed from me in order to get this issue permanently fixed.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning matter regarding the abrupt closure of my Discover account, which I have held for over 11 years without any late payments or issues. In XXXX, there were minor identification verification issues, particularly regarding my phone number, in connection with the credit card account ending in XXXX. These issues were promptly and fully resolved within that month. However, to my surprise, my Discover account was closed by the bank recently without any advance notice. Discover refused to disclose the reason why my account was closed.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I disputed an {$11.00} charge from XXXX through discover card. I tried to dispute with XXXX but no such charges were associated with my account, so they weren't able to find the associated invoice. I reached out to Discover in XX/XX/XXXX and Discover denied my request for refund/reapplied the charges. This is a reoccurring charge since XX/XX/XXXX, so there were seven invoices of {$11.00}. They were able to send me an invoice copy and I can immediately see it's a person who doesn't exist at an address that also doesn't exist, so very obviously fraud and not attached to me at all. It's kind of weird that they would have a live person look at the invoice who could just quickly XXXX and see this address does not exist, but still say it's a valid charge? I shouldn't have to eat this cost, that's why I use a credit card. It's tied to a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This location doesn't exist so how is it a valid charge. I don't know this person, obviously. This is such a stupid situation lol. How did someone miss this? First thing I did was google it! I want to note that my maiden name is XXXX, my legal last name is XXXX. This is important to line up the accounts as I'm not able to update my account information within consumer finance.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: I enrolled in an Offer with discover. The offer was as stated : '' Activate now and earn {$250.00} extra cash back when you spend at least {$2500.00} by XX/XX/. '' I did indeed activate. I spent roughly {$300.00} across other transactions in early XXXX. I made a last purchase of roughly $ XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX the deadline. The customer service representative stated that my transaction posted on my account in XXXX therefore I was ineligible. According to the terms and conditions. " To qualify for the extra {$250.00} Cashback Bonus, the transaction date must be before or on the last day of the offer or promotion. For online purchases, the transaction date from the merchant may be the date when the item ships. '' In fact, the transaction was made on XX/XX/XXXX and the online order was picked up on the XXXX. The promotion does not indicate that the preauthorization must become a full authorization by the offer date, that is bank business and a clever loophole for bank/credit fraud XXXX
