Consumer Complaint: I needed to get my air ducts cleaned due to getting health problems from the dust coming out the vents.I found a company on XXXX and emailed about my situation.He stated he would clean all the vents for a flat fee of $ 330.I talk to my boyfriend and told him they had a warranty and read to my boyfriend what the company offered..My boyfriend said to set up for them to get cleaned since it had a warranty and I was getting XXXX and XXXX Two men came with a big vacuum.The man stated he puts it in one vent and it sucks all the dust out of all the vents. ( to add he told me he was the owner of the company and does it part-time cause he is retired ) I question him about a long fan thing that goes in the vents and spins to loosen up the dust cause I seen it on XXXX and he said they only do that for fire damage..He never looked in the vents when he left.Me and my boyfriend put the vents back up..I told my boyfriend within 2 days I see dust on my tv stand.computer speakers and other things but my boyfriend let me clean everything again and if it still comes out then we will call the credit card company to dispute the charge.To add the Owner wanted Cash and on the receipt it does say cash but when my boyfriend found out I was paying cash he said no way cause I had no protection if the job is not right.He told me always to pay with a credit card for protection..With that said Dust was still coming out the vents and I disputed the charge..I sent the Discover so much proof..Proof of the warranty he had..Proof of text I sent the owner of the vent cleaner that dust was still coming out with pictures attach.I told him I wanted him to come back and use the brush he should of used.We made a date for him to come back.. ( we is I wanted my boyfriend here to take the vents down cause I was sick ) The owner agreed .The he called insisting of doing it the days that we DO NOT agree on and the day I was XXXXHe was very intimidating and grudge but I told him I had all the proof he was and schedule for the next day..Then he just said oh it's your baby powder and hung up..So discover charge me again and oh I did win the dispute and then all of a sudden it looked like they did it again..weird but when I call and my boyfriend being a witness to all and sending then text proof and warranty proof etc they give me all different reasons why they favored the guy who cleaned the vents wrong..Now I have pictures even of dirty vents and Discover is not doing as they are suppose to with a dispute finding in my favor cause I showed them all the proof and the guy showed them nothing.He gave them just hear say and the paper he printed out where I signed after I paid..

I called following the first payment on a debt to ask for two deferred payments to free up funds to be able to see my dad ( who lives 3,000 miles away ) and help my mom with some of the costs associated with my father 's illness. I was told until 6 months that no assistance can be offered on their loans for any reason including COVID, which goes directly against the protections offered at this time. I was also told that Discover charges off debts at 120 days and would rather allow debts to charge off than assist someone in a time of need.

Consumer Complaint: I own a Discover credit card with an authorized user. My e-mail address was changed on the website without my permission. The authorized user made a payment that came back. Without my knowledge the account was marked 30 Days late on my credit report. I contacted the Discover and explained that I was never notified of non payment/late payment due to not being contacted by Discover via e-mail, phone, or postal mail. I was told by a Discover supervisor that they only report to credit bureaus after 60 days late. XXXX from XXXX was very kind and promised she was send the information over to Discover credit reporting stating it should not have been reported as it was a one time mistake and I was not informed. Had I known I wouldve been happy to make a payment. I disputed with the credit bureaus and it was not deleted. I explained that my email was fraudulently changed and was told by other supervisors nothing could be done. I was hopeful that it would be removed off of my credit based upon fraud and Discover allowing 60 day late payment before reporting it.

I was told in a email that my deposit will be sent to me. I waited over 30 days and still have not received the check. I called multiple times and was told the check was mailed. So I see that statement as a lie. So I want the XXXX balance either handed to me in person. Or credit my account.

I NEVER authorized the use of my card for the charge in question AND the company ALTERED the receipt to justify using my card. NOBODY can show a receipt with my signature that authorizes discover to pay this bill!!!

Consumer Complaint: Today XX/XX/21 was the last day I spoke with XXXX XXXX about a lost reverse payment amount of {$7200.00} and after speaking with Discover Card. Discover card they said XXXX XXXX needs to do an investigation of the lost check with Discover Card and then Discover card would look into this matter. Then I called XXXX who said their Bank Operations Dept said I needed to tell Discover Card to initiate sending documents about what they did with the reverse check. Discover Card said XXXX needed to do this and XXXX said it was against their policy to do anything. I called Discover Card back and after being placed on hold my phone was disconnected. I got the impression Discover Card didn't want to help and just disconnected my phone from them. Both companies to me are really incompetent and don't know how to help their customers. I have been calling XXXX XXXX XXXX and Discover Card to no avail for 3 weeks. Personally I believe both companies are incompetent. I really need help in getting XXXX to credit my {$7200.00} back. Both of these companies are just giving me the run around. Also, XXXX XXXX is not even giving me credit for this mistake and I have a {$5900.00} negative balance and they reported that I was overlimit to XXXX Discover Card needs to research and find out why XXXX XXXX didn't receive their return check for {$7200.00}. Both companies have poor customer service depts. I can no longer deal with either company. I need your help. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I received an offer for a XXXX XXXX XXXX membership from Discover on XX/XX/2020. It stated that I would receive a {$45.00} cash back bonus on the purchase of a new membership and that it needed to be used before XX/XX/2020. I activated the offer and purchased the membership on XX/XX/2020 ( double checking that the offer was activated before purchasing ). I have the receipt for the purchase as well as the offer email. The bonus cashback never showed up on my account I contacted support on XX/XX/XXXX asking about the missing cashback, I received a response to wait until my XXXX billing cycle ended. I waited until my XXXX billing cycle ended to contact them about the matter further. I received canned responses, along with a generic " Upon further review on this promotion I can see that the rewards for this promotion has already been applied to all applicable accounts. '' An then " This means that the purchase did not meet one or more of requirements to earn the {$45.00} credit. While I am not able to see what requirement was unfulfilled .... '' I see no reason as to why I was " disqualified '' for the offer. I never held any membership with XXXX 'XXXX XXXX I activated the offer from the email, I used my Discover card, and I did not combine it with any other offer. The only reason why I signed up for a XXXX XXXX XXXX membership was because the sign-up bonus made the membership free. To date, I haven't even used the membership.

Well since then I have paid my balance owed in full in which they received my money and still they will release my account
