( XXXX ) All contracts for the payment of interest upon any loan, advance of money, line of credit, or forbearance to enforce the collection of any debt, or upon any obligation whatever, at a higher rate of interest than the equivalent of XXXX percent per annum simple interest are hereby declared usurious. Consumer Complaint: Discover card implemented their payment protection program to my account without my knowledge or concent. Over the last XXXX years i suspect there has been close XXXX XXXX dollars charged to my account based off XXXX cents for every XXXX dollars of credit i have been rewarded. Dates and times for the past XXXX years are displayed in the attachments below. I was not able to go back more than XXXX years in account history at this time. " Federal regulators conducted a year-long investigation into telemarketing and sales tactics used by Discover agents that misled consumers into paying for credit card add-on products they thought were free. These services included XXXX XXXX tracking, payment protection, identity theft protection and wallet protection. Discover card customers who were charged for XXXX or more of these products between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX will be eligible for a refund based on the products they purchased and how long they held them. Consumer Complaint: Im requesting my 3times sent {$500.00} to Discover credit card company. I didnt have a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX I requested the 3 checks back totaling {$15000.00}. Discover sent me a {$500.00} check But also put it on my credit card as a withdraw, that I'll owe it back. The amount is {$1500.00} that is owed back to me. I applied for a credit card. It came as {$10000.00}. I sent for a checking account, and thought I sent it to the checking account not the credit card. Discover bank credit card services kept my XXXX checks each for {$500.00}. Discover credit card added the money to my credit card making it then, {$11000.00}. The credit card wasnot a prepaid card. They claim they used my money to pay for my bills instead of using it as a credit card? I didnt know how to approach the company, but figured I'd better try something to see where my money went. I thought they sent it back 1 check for XXXX +. But that was a promotion to received dollar for dollar in purchases as cash back. Attached is the check they want me to cash yhis {$500.00} check and pay back, after I asked for my money back or where did my money go. I've explained some in the initial complaint.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX or XXXX I applied for a XXXX XXXX XXXX with a {$200.00} security deposit for discover and in XX/XX/2022 I received an email stating that I had graduated from the secured credit card to a regular credit card and that I would receive my security deposit of {$200.00} back. By XXXX the XXXX I had still not received my check so I reached out through online chat messaging to discover inquiring about my check they said that they had sent the check out and that I should receive it between XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX by XXXX the XXXX I still have not received my check so I reached back out to discover and was informed that they would have to do a stop check and reissue a new one that it would take XXXX XXXX for that to occur and then another XXXX XXXX for me to receive my check and that if I had not received it by XXXX the XXXX that they would do a refund to my debit card I spoke with someone from discover today on the phone and was informed that my check still has not been sent in the mail because of XXXXXXXX XXXX and I am getting a little concerned that they're not trying to give me my security deposit back so I looked online and have seen countless other people that is going through the same thing that I'm going through right now and they still haven't received their security deposit back as well

Consumer Complaint: XXXX shipped part of my order and the Discover credit card denied my dispute on the invalid evidence provided by XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased XXXX XXXX laptops with order # XXXX on XXXX and XXXX {$490.00}. XXXX shipped it through XXXX tracking # XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received this package and found only XXXX laptop. I contacted XXXX immediately, but XXXX refused to issue a refund of {$240.00} and told me to dispute it with my financial institution. So on XX/XX/XXXX, I started a dispute about this order charge transaction with my Discover credit card. I provided XXXX pieces of evidence, the first was the XXXX website description of the XXXX laptop I bought, which showed the net weight of XXXX XXXX laptop was XXXX, I bought XXXX of these laptops, so the weight of my package should be over XXXX, and the second piece of evidence was XXXX proof of delivery, it showed the package I received was only XXXX. However, Discover denied my dispute because XXXX replied that they had issued a refund on XX/XX/XXXX. I continued my dispute and provided the refund email from XXXX as evidence because the refund I received on XX/XX/XXXX was for my XXXX order placed on XX/XX/XXXX, not the order placed on XX/XX/XXXX. However, Discover insisted this transaction was valid and told me this was the final review, and I was unable to appeal anymore.

Consumer Complaint: It hard to believe a company that is this removed and incompetent. I expect a complete correction and apology. Way back in XXXX XXXX I purchased an annual, pay in advance XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The credit card I usually use with another bank wouldn't accept the charge ( actually, I didn't see an email from them warning me ) so I used my Discover Card which I have had for over 20 years. Activation didn't work and I spent hours and dozens of calls tXXXX XXXX out of the XXXX, trying to resolve it to no avail. I filed a dispute with Discover and sent them proof. An hour later ( approx. XXXX ) they removed the dispute with no explanation. I sent them a long letter with no reply. In an extraordinary effort to expose the fraud and remove the burden, I filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was contacted by XXXX XXXX ( email and phone number attached ) at XXXX headquarters to resolve the issue. He indicated the product ( the cellphone plan ) was a " network error '' ( i.e., it does not work ) and XXXX would refund the purchase to Discover. Without notifying me of anything, Discover Card did place the charge in dispute status after my mailed-in letter ( all my online contact was ignored ). Then, for some reason, again without reason or notification, the dispute was removed and I started to receive statements and charges ; repeat : I do not use the card. I called, waited forever for an agent, then she put me on hold... The automated system said XXXX balance no payment due so I hung up. Discover has continued to charge me, including late fees. Per the user agreement, Discover has a firm dispute/customer protection policy ; they refuse to do it. Further, they have ignored all my contacts ; they have failed to research the charge ; they have ignored all the evidence ; they continue to threaten me and send libelous emails ; and they are trying to extort a ) charges for a product that does not exist and b ) late fees. It is atrocious customer service. If I had any faith in my local and only police department I would have filed charges long ago. I may do so online with the FBI for wire fraud. I am posting this here for all to see -- stay away from Discover Card. They used to have fine customer service ; they do not anymore.
