Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a new camera, figured new xmas gift for myself a bit early. It was set to arrive on XX/XX/XXXX, tracking says package is delivered - I get home and nothing is there. I chat into the support team and they tell me to wait 24 hours and chat back if nothing is there still. So In figure yeah, maybe it was just marked delivered on accident so I continue to wait the 24 hours. On the XXXX, since the support team told me to wait 24 hours as the package may arrive then, I decided to also purchase the gimbal kit I was looking at so they would arrive the same day. XX/XX/XXXX comes along, gimbal package is marked as delivered - I get home and nothing is there. At this point I assume they were snatched from my porch ( I live alone, no one else was there at the time to bring them inside. ) I chat into the support team again and they say they started the process for refunding both items and I just need to wait for confirmation emails at this point. So I wait for the confirmation emails and they eventually come in - now its a waiting game for the refunds to apply so I can just go into the store and buy them there instead of worrying about a porch pirate again. Then today on XX/XX/XXXX, I get two emails ( one for each of the packages ) saying that the investigation was complete and they're unable to provide any refund or replacement. So what am I supposed to do at this point as I've spent the money and didn't get the items, as they were stolen? The tracking on the packages even shows that a signature wasn't required. Absolutely insane for such an expensive item.

Consumer Complaint: I got a personal loan in the amount of {$27000.00} from Discover Bank on XX/XX/2022 to refinance an existing loan with XXXX. Discover Bank disbursed the payoff amount of {$26000.00} in form a check that was mailed to XXXX XXXX via XXXX on XX/XX/2022. I received {$20.00} as direct deposit to my checking account. When I called XXXX on XX/XX/2022 to inquire about the payoff, the phone representative told me that it takes up to XXXX business days to receive a mailed payment and to check back with them next week. When I called Discover Bank the same day, they told me that the payment had been mailed but the check had not been cashed yet and advised me to wait the XXXX business days before inquiring again. When I called XXXX on XX/XX/2022, I was told that no check had been received, but it would take another XXXX business days from receipt of the check to posting to the account due to the processing system they have in place. So check back with them in XXXX days. I called Discover Bank the same day to find out what had happened to the check for the payoff of my loan and they told me that the check had in fact been cashed on XX/XX/2022. They told me to get the fax number for XXXX XXXX so that they can send proof of payment. I called back XXXX XXXX, told them the check had been cashed according to Discover, but the rep insisted that nothing had been received yet and gave me the fax number to sent the proof of payment. I called Discover again, gave the the fax number and they sent the proof of payment to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022. I was also told again to wait another XXXX business days to let the process be completed by XXXX XXXX. When I called XXXX XXXX and Discover Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, neither XXXX of them was able to give me an update on the missing check/payment. XXXX XXXX insisted that they had received nothing and Discover Bank insisted that the check had been cashed. When I asked Discover Bank to start the retrieval process they told me to wait another XXXX days. When I called on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX still claimed that they had not received the payment or even proof of payment. Discover Bank finally agreed to start the retrieval process, but told me that they might not be able to get the payment back and that I would be responsible for the now missing {$26000.00} although the money was never sent to me, but XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I was informed by a Consumer Rights Attorney to dispute this account before we file a legal complaint. Discover and XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) is under SO MUCH VIOLATIONS when it comes to my credit report. First, I gave no written consent to them to report anything to my credit report. Second, There are INACCURATE information on my credit report so there is no way this is reporting to the maximum possible accuracy, therefore this account needs to be removed because it is in violation of 15 U.S. Code 1681b a2, 15 U.S. Code 1681i ( 5 ), and 15 U.S. Code 1681e ( b ). Also paid charge off accounts shouldn't even be reporting to my credit report due to your own reporting standards on the XXXX XXXX software. If this account is not removed, when this is taken to court I will make sure I receive my {$1000.00} per violation.

Consumer Complaint: Pre-paid for a rental car ( XXXX ) and XXXX put a hold on my credit card. Returned the car early, and XXXX said hold had been removed. Tried to call them and the automated system states to contact credit card company about removing the hold so I did. Discover said they could not remove the hold because transaction was in pending status. So I called XXXX again and got the same response. It's been a week now since I paid for the rental and returned the car. The pending transaction is not showing on my account yet Discover has not removed the hold and so I don't have the available. This adds insult to injury, I have had the prepaid card for years and Discover has never even considered me for an increase. They would not even bother to let me dispute the charge or do an investigation. What a company!

Consumer Complaint: I obtained multiple XXXX loans to fund my XXXX XXXX I recently XXXX and recognized that I can not pay XXXX loans as I don't make enough money to buy food, pay rent, etc. Fortunately my father helps me with expenses. We did an inventory of my XXXX loans. I have XXXX, all with Discover Student Loans. XXXX of them my father had to cosign. XXXX of them they approved me without a cosigner. They positioned this as great news, what I didnt realize is that they were happy to charge me a predatory interest rate. All of my other loans ( with my father ) are a few basis points lower. This is where the complaint comes in .... I reached out to Discover to refinance the loan and add my father to bring down the interest rate. They refuse. They are now saying that I have to qualify for the loan on my own, which we all know I cant do ..... I have made on time payments to them for years and just want to add my dad to the loan to make it more reasonable, but they are trapping me in this predatory loan. I applied with my supplemental income to qualify ( the computer approved me with it ), but they wont use it and declined my loan. They are purposely setting me up for failure and default.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern I am writing this complaint today because of the way XXXX is conducting their investigation and their insulting comments stating that it might not be me who is submitting the request to dispute items on my account which it was very much me who submitted this request and just because I know what I am talking about and writing with facts and using the USC and the FDCPA to dispute their inaccuracies. They had 30 days to submit me wit the proof and documents I requested with the method of verification and not a computer generated response they sent me. I asked these creditors for debt validation letters but they failed to send that to me also. This is a violation to me as a consumer and I trust the CFPB to help me resolve this matter effectively. On XX/XX/2022 I sent my first letter and received no reply and XX/XX/2022 I sent another letter which they sent me what looks like a computer generated response saying it was not me submitting this request. Consumer Complaint: Account name : Discover Bank Account number : XXXX I requested a thorough re-investigation on XXXX XXXX via certified mail for all 3 credit bureaus. This account is mine. My wife opened it up in XX/XX/XXXX as suggested when we were applying for a mortgage. I am only an authorized user. I did request that all dates, balances, numbers, payment history, etc. be verified and updated from all 3 bureaus, but there were inaccuracies still found on the new credit report for XXXX XXXX, XXXX. A few being that XXXX shows absolutely no data on the report, only on payment history, which are violations automatically. Balances, Date last reported, High credit, Credit limit, and all are not being reported the same from each bureau, which makes every line a violation according to FCRA. The account is paid in full by due date every month since weve had it, but XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX is not showing any data for it. Not only that, but my wifes credit report that was pulled also on both dates ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ) is showing differently than whats reported on my account for DISCOVER BANK. Im not asking that the account be deleted, just corrected, and monetary relief for the violations. It seems small, but because of credit issues, I no longer have a home for me and my family. I was denied housing because of all the inaccuracies on my credit history. Its been well over 30 days now, and the latter credit report is worse than the previous credit report. Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, Im contacting you to complain about Discovery Loans ' misleading loan process and to request a resolution that I deserve. On XX/XX/2022 at XXXX, I called Discovery Loan at XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX to finalize my loan request to consolidate my debt after submitting an online request ( application number : XXXX ). In that conversation, I was informed that I was qualified for a loan and asked if I want to move forward with the loan process. I provided my consent to move forward as we agreed to use the loan to consolidate two of my existing loans with Discover Loans and pay off a couple of credit cards with the remaining amount, which was about $ XXXX. The loan specialist told me that I can enter the credit cards account information later online or via phone in order for them to be paid off. A few days later, once I gathered the information, I entered the cards account information online but received a warning that I needed to complete one last step. So, I called Discover Loans to finalize the process but I was told that they actually made a mistake, and Im not eligible for a new loan because I already have two loans with them and need to go through nine payment cycles for the latest loan I got with them in order to qualify for a new loan per their policy. I got that loan in XX/XX/2022 and the ninth payment is in XX/XX/2022, meaning that I am only a month behind. They told me they were going to look into if they could honor the loan or if they could remove the hard inquiry, which already impacted my credit score. After a few days, I had to follow up with them to get an update and I was told that they will not honor the loan and instead they will request to remove the hard inquiry from my credit history, which may take up to 40 days to process. I told them its understandable that the typical process to remove the hard inquiry from my credit history may take up to 40 days but its unacceptable for me to suffer the consequences of their mistake as my credit score is already impacted which complicated my financial plans and 40 days is too long for me to wait. I requested that they should honor the loan to make it worth to the damage on my credit score as well as interference my financial plans. Their actions and solutions are unethical and causes not only inconvenience but also harm to my finances and life. No individual or institution should be allowed to not fix their careless mistakes and impact on peoples lives. If the hard inquiry removal was immediate, I could accept it as a solution but given the length of it and its impact in my life, I dont accept it as a solution. The damage is already done and I need a better solution. Indeed, I request to be honored with the loan that I was originally told to be qualified. I look forward to hearing from you.
