Consumer Complaint: Discover card sent me a emails saying they were monitoring my credit, oh I thought that was great no the case it was a bait and switch, I went to discover card web site discover card check to see if Im prequalified for a secured credit card, and I was approved, I quickly exited from discover card website. Then received letter in the mail demanding the I send my federal taxes records to discover card and if I didnt discover card would contact the internal Revenue Service XXXX discover card sent me a credit card in the mail which I dispose of a new trashcan, I never wanted or requested a card from discover card.called 3 times discover card said if you dont send your federal taxes records in they would contact the IRS and place on my credit report which discover card did I want it removed from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to Discover to ensure my purchase balance is correct, as it seemed high and their terms state this is paid first due to the intro purchase rate being first to expire. It has been determined that the purchase balance includes a disputed amount that had a temporary credit reversed for the final credit to apply. The issue comes in where they did not apply the final credit for this reversal to the purchase balance that they increased when taking these steps. As a result my purchase balance is {$450.00} with one period left to pay this amount that should only be {$210.00} if the dispute credit for {$240.00} had been correctly applied. The link to report a billing error does not work and supervisors with Discover refused to resolve the issue or give me another appropriate link where this error could be reported for official review. This is predatory for them to increase the purchase balance on XX/XX/2023 with a dispute that was won from XX/XX/2023. I have included photos of the statement that show the total purchase balance amount, as well as the amounts to make up the purchase and the expiration date of the intro period for this balance type, and a dispute email that states clearly this would not count against me for interest.

Consumer Complaint: Honor about XX/XX/XXXX Discover card withdrew a {$1000.00} after I was approved for a 3 on secured credit card. Upon not receiving the card it took them a month to mail out when I went to activate it they said there was an IRS form that I needed to bought file and balance of XXXX temps were made over XXXX phone calls which took about a month. After this I made a final call and i'd spoken to somebody and they said oh it's just gon na take a couple days and it will be turned on 2 days later they turn my account off and at that point didn't inform me I asked them to call me and they didn't call me I asked them what they're gon na do to compensate me for the fact that they help a XXXX of my dollars for 4 Months. I also made the claim abroad because they were advertised on a site trying to build credit and when I gave them the money to build my credit when they close my account my credit score dropped tremendouslink when I spoke to someone this last time asking why my account was closed and why they decided to sit there and take that disaction they said they couldn't verify who I was although I filled out all their paperwork And now they said they wan na wait 2 more months before they return my money at this point I'm like OK it's if I had your {$1000.00} 6 Months you would charge me interest I feel like after holding my money for that long they should have to pay me the interest they would have charged me not to mention the compensation for damaging my credit s cool and the guy said that there's nothing he will or could do and there's nothing in place to sit there and take care of someone in this ration The Thing is they took my money before they ever asked for this verification of who I was and if they would've done the verification before they ever withdrew the money There wouldn't have never been an issue

I had received emails that they could not properly identify me even with me giving them my full social and sending a picture of my license they said they still could not identify me. Whilst this was going on i could not activate my credit card so the account was actually never opened because of the identity problem the discover it company had. There was nothing else i could do to verify my identity and with them reporting a closed account had dramatically affected my credit score. I feel this is unfair i gave all the information they had ask to see I've spent hours upon hours on the phone with the discover it company and there was nothing else i could do.

Consumer Complaint: I ordered numerous items from the company XXXX XXXX, purchasing process was smooth however while my items were out for delivery, the shipping company XXXX ( 9 total different packages ), stated on my items tracking number that my items were being sent back to the companys warehouse because it was recalled. I waited for my items to arrive to warehouse and was signed for by XXXX So i called XXXX XXXX so they could provide me a refund, however the supervisor there told me to dispute with my card company to recieve a refund. I disputed and submitted my valid documents showing i didnt recieve any items and that the items were sent back to warehouse and signed for by XXXX. However Discover ( the card i used ) found the transaction to be valid which is impossible considering the tracking numbers clearly show that all items were returned and signed for, as well as chat status with customer support of XXXX XXXX insisting i disputed my case. I am now being charged XXXX USD for items that were not received and recalled by the company itself. The purchase was made XX/XX/. Dispute was closed XXXX XXXX XXXX Its a fraudulent charge by the company XXXX XXXX and the negligence of Discover since im showing clear evidence i did not recieve my items. All pictures show they were delivered and signed for in warehouses of XXXX California and Ohio. I also provided a picture of the travel history showing the shipper requested packages to be sent back, out of my control and without my permission. I have also provided a picture showing customer service telling me to start chargeback with financial institution and unable to cooperate and help me.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from discover, a company I have a card with. My first suspicion is that it was addressed with an outdated address that I changed last month. The letter from discover listed my name, previous address, and was dated XX/XX/XXXX. The letter is titled unclaimed property notice the state of New Jersey requires you to notify that your unclaimed property may be transferred to the state if you do not contact us then it listed a number XXXX. The logo on the envelope does not match the logo on the letter head. I verified with discover, through my app that the letter was not sent by them. The last page of the letter included a please complete and return this full page and then goes on saying ownership acknowledgment/ check request, an issue date of XX/XX/XXXX for {$200.00} requesting my name, current mailing address, city state zip, contact number and signature. Consumer Complaint: I received a 0 % percent interest balance transfer offer from Discover Card which is valid for six months. I chose the direct deposit transfer option into my personal checking account rather than transferring a different XXXX card balance to my Discover Card. Both options were offered and I chose direct deposit on XX/XX/2023 ( XXXX weeks ago ). I provided my bank routing number and account number and have never received the {$29000.00} deposit. I have called Discover over a dozen times in the past XXXX weeks and I have no resolution. This has severely damaged my credit rating by dropping my XXXX score more than 60 points which has impacted my financing for a new vehicle. Ive requested that Discover cancel the transaction altogether and they said they could but warned I would still be responsible for the 1.5 % transfer fee of nearly {$1500.00} which is criminal after their inability to send me the money charges or my credit card. How is this legal to charge me for something I never received and not resolve it after XXXX weeks?
