Consumer Complaint: I received a copy of my credit report with the intention of trying to improve my credit and take care of my responsibilities and noticed an account that I wanted a little more clarity on. I am not stating that they are reporting right or wrong. I am just saying that I am not 100 percent sure if they are. I also read something called the Fair Credit Reporting Act where it said by law, I had the right to challenge anything I am not sure is accurate. Some of the people reporting things on me, I have never heard of, which is why I am contacting you. Are you familiar with something called 15 U.S. C. Sec. 1681i ( a )? I heard that if you can't provide proof, these accounts must be deleted. I'd really like these accounts deleted if they are not 100 percent accurate and correct. Please check on these and get back to me? I also was informed by a free lawyer on this forum site that you have 30 days to complete this investigation. Please investigate the following account and remove them if anything is missing or incorrect. I attached the inaccurate information l 've obtained from the reporting agencies. I demand the following accounts be accurate and verified or removed immediately. DISCOVER BANK, ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX. PERSONAL INFORMATION NAMES : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX AND XXXX XXXX. My one and only name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. Please update my report to reflect that I also read where I can get the updated report after you investigate this from the free lawyer. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : Also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish my account without my written instructions. Attached is the account in question in details.

Consumer Complaint: The company provide a debt validation response. I am not disputing the debt. My dispute is that I do not owe for the debt. Discover took my original application and securitized the application. They then took the XXXX number created to trade my application on the secondary market. The law states that they are to take 20 % and I am to be paid the remaining 80 %. However I have not received any proceeds. They turned my application into commercial paper. Additionally they are making claims that are illegal. It is illegal to deny the payment coupon as a form of a payment as it is a negotiable instrument per UCC 3-104. Discover also requested I include a check with the coupon which again is illegal as they can not request payment to be made with floating rate notes. They are refusing to return the floating rate notes I paid while I was unaware of this information. And have advised they charged off the account as a loss, when in fact they have not experienced a loss because they are still trading my application on the secondary marketing and receiving benefit. They are committing securities fraud and have refused to correct their fraud. They did not provide proper disclosure as no where in their cardmember agreement states they are using commercial paper nor does it speak about them turning their applications or the floating rate notes into securities to be traded on the secondary market. At this time, Discover is committing Tier 2 Federal Reserve Act offense which is punishable as {$25000.00} per day that my issue is not resolved. They are failing to perform their fiduciary duty.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX Discover card closed my account because of a payment returning NSF... ( 6 years ago ) I have reapplied numerous times and was denied even though I qualify credit wise. Still to this date I don't no why they closed my account, I never paid late, yes I had a payment returned but immediately after getting notified I paid all fees and the bill associated. They closed my account in XXXX with me owing a zero balance. In XXXX of XXXX this year the sent me a check in the amount of XXXX from this closed account, I was suppose to receive this payment years ago. The sent me only with they owed and not with any interest they have made off it... This is not right how do you hold money from a closed account for over 6 years and then pay it... Also I was informed that I could re apply for an account but they keep denying me saying because of past account obligations. So I guess it okay from the XXXX over their customers and withhold money for years and profit off of them.

Consumer Complaint: I used my Discover debit card for a purchase of an item from a merchant called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$110.00}. This merchant ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) never sent me the item I purchased and was not responsive to my repeated emails requesting a status update. So I contacted Discover on XX/XX/XXXX to report that the merchant did not deliver and requested a provisional credit and investigation. However, Discover replied that they were unable to do that under Reg E for my debit card purchase. This was disappointing to me because Discover previously gave me a provisional credit for a debit card purchase from a merchant who did not deliver in XXXX of XXXX under Reg Z. Furthermore, Discover claimed that they changed their policy and they no longer provide Reg Z provisional credits and investigations for debit card purchases. Had I known that my purchase with my Discover debit card was not protected under Reg Z, I never would have made it.

Consumer Complaint: Discover Financial {$3000.00} XXXX On XXXX I purchased a XXXX XXXX lawn tractor and bagger from XXXX in XXXX, NY and put it on my Discover card. I used it once and there was a major malfunction which destroyed the entire engine. The tractor was picked up by a XXXX XXXX on XXXX with the intentions of replacing it. After a few days I was informed by XXXX that they could not replace that particular model so I promptly cancelled the order and returned the bagger myself. On XXXX the charge was out back on my bill! In XXXX it was contested, but somehow was determined in favor of XXXX. By this time, it was XXXX policy to not issue return receipts after 90 days, which had already passed. After having XXXX investigate this claim, it was determined that the tractor, in fact, was returned and the claim was valid. I reached out to Discover Advocacy, sent a letter of dispute along with fax transmittals, emails, receipts of return and they are still saying they will not remove this from my bill. We have sent them everything they have asked for. They are destroying my excellent credit rating because if this false reporting. Please help us! We have complied with every single request from Discover. They just say no without giving us any answer as to how they came up with this unjustified conclusion.
