Consumer Complaint: Received letter indicating that my Discover credit line of XXXX was reduced to XXXX after they pulled my credit... for what??? There was no reason for this as I have NEVER missed or been late on a payment & always pay more than the minimum payment. So they had no reason to pull my credit... How can they do that? I was not asking for a credit increase or any other thing that would warrant pulling my credit. This action places this account at XXXX % utilization, when I was previously at XXXX % and working hard to get it under XXXX %. This action is going to severely damage my XXXXredit score and I HAD NO IDEA this action was coming - completely blindsided and devastated by this act. Is there any help from your agency to redress this damage to my credit?

Consumer Complaint: This is so many of the above options I had to just pick the best ones. This is about a savings account with Discover and they abruptly closed my account with no explanation kept {$330.00} for several days then they sent a check which can not be cashed anywhere anywhere in town anywhere with any other bank anywhere with mobile, cant be cashed at XXXX, cant be cashed out a check cashers place. Ive had no money for XXXX days now because of them so they finally agreed after XXXX hours on the phone to wire it and then at the last minute they wont wire me my money they wont give me my {$330.00} and I have no money XXXX XXXX and I need XXXX XXXX. I almost ended up in the hospital last night because of this I couldnt get my medication. Plus, they had me void the check because they were supposed to send out the wire and now they will not send me out The wire This is very urgent!!!!!!!!!

Consumer Complaint: There is a false charge on my Discover account that Discover has failed to investigate for over a year. I have reached out weekly for the last year to Discover and have not gotten a SINGLE response back - phone call or email. They have not provided me with a single line of text or anything in regards to this false charge. IT IS THE 3RD FALSE CHARGE WITHIN A YEAR. The other 2 I paid because it was so hard to reach Discover. The third one is a much larger amount and enough is enough. While customer service can't call me back, they have " debt collector '' numbers that call at all hours of the day and night. The last one I answered and explained the situation and they said they would transfer me to another department. I waited on hold for half an hour. No one answered. They said their systems were down and someone would get back to me the same business day. Of course no one did. The current call CAME IN AT XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I again explained the situation and they said they would transfer me to the right department. I have since been on hold for over an HOUR. Discover makes it impossible to reach anyone to resolve a dispute or fake charge. I have NEVER CARRIED A CREDIT CARD BALANCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE OR EVER BEEN LATE WITH ANY PAYMENT, EVER. My credit score is XXXX, near perfect, and Discover is trying to tarnish that. This is the ONLY WAY THEY CAN MAKE MONEY OFF PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE AND DON'T HAVE CREDIT CARD BALANCES. I urge bureaus like this one to investigate these criminal practices of stealing hard working people 's money as they are doing. I ALREADY PAID TWO FAKE CHARGES ON THIS ACCOUNT, I AM NOT PAYING A THIRD NO MATTER HOW EARLY IN THE MORNING YOU CALL ME AND REFUSE TO TRANSFER ME TO THE CORRECT DEPARTMENT AND CLAIM YOUR SYSTEMS ARE DOWN SO SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO CALL ME BACK AND NO ONE EVER DOES

Consumer Complaint: I've engaged in a 12 month " Repayment Program '' with Discover, that allows me to payoff outstanding debt with a reduced APR. Unbeknownst to me, Discover reported a " Derogatory '' status to all credit bureaus throughout the term of this " Repayment Plan. '' There are XXXX derogatory statuses on my XXXX credit report, from Discover, today. As of today, I've successfully paid down my {$17000.00} credit card limit to {$5400.00} ( 30 %. ) Despite this, I'm unable to receive new business loans because of the historical " derogatory '' reports they've made to all credit bureaus, which still remain, AFTER my repayment. Discover has also notified that my account will continue to remain " derogatory '' if I'm in poor status with another financial institution. My ask is ; that all derogatory marks reported by Discover Financial Services, be removed from my credit reports, because I've satisfied the debt owed to them ( within the 30 % mark. ) The current situation ( their continued derogatory reporting despite my repayment ) feels predatory ; It stops me from pursuing new business endeavors that will help alleviate my economic circumstance. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, through USPS Registered Mail I sent Discover card a Payment. of {$18000.00} tracking number XXXX. On XX/XX/2023 Discover Card received my payment. via USPS registered mail tracking number XXXX. on XX/XX/2023 they posted my payment to the account and closed my account due to a reported fraud issue I had in XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called after noticing my payment had been posted to my account and I had an available balance of XXXX but I was unable to use my card. Discover card then informed me that they closed my account due to reported fraud in XXXX. I was not aware that Discover Card closed my account. I asked them due to the current payment I made in the amount of {$18000.00}, I would like this addressed and either open my account back up and or send me my payment back to me via USPS delivery of my original payment method I had sent to them. Or they could send the payment back to my bank account currently on file. They opened a new account and informed me it would take 7-10 days to transfer the payment to my account. The {$18000.00} was never made available on my new account nor was it returned to me like I requested VIA-check sent through USPS. I have requested this multiple times for Discover Card to either return the physical payment that I sent to them or issue me a check for that amount and send it to my address on file. I still have not received my payment back nor have they credited my account. They continue to call me to try to receive more payments from me, even though I have explained this situation multiple times. DISCOVER CARDS Failure to honor, process and credit the intended account has caused loss injury and harm. An offer Of performance was tendered, in good faith as full satisfaction of the claim referenced herein, with the intent of extinguishing any alleged debt, duty, obligation, or liability. Itis their duty to honor this instrument, to know, abide by, and operate under the law, 18 USC 8 applies. Consumer Complaint: This is in reference to complain ID XXXX which has been closed without customer satisfaction. Discover credit card stated they would re-open/re-instate my account after I paid personal fund to find a notary while XXXX. I traveled back to Hawaii from XXXX to find a notary to meet Discovers demand for identity verification, after the IRS had already confirmed my identity. This trip costs over a XXXX dollars for me to fly back and find a notary for Discover. I paid a notary to notarize the requested identity verification forms, showing my passport, drivers license, and military ID. Discover verified that they received the form but stated they kept my account closed due to their failure to contact the notary. Their failure is not my fault, yet I am being punished for their failure to contact a civilian notary in the XXXX. The day after notarizing their document and completing their requirement, I returned to XXXX. No one contacted me after that. I remain XXXX at this time and still unable to utilize my Discover card that I am currently paying on time every month. This is a violation of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act ( SCRA ) as military members do not have access to certain services such as notary services and/or using a phone when XXXX. I was told by Discover that I needed to just find a phone while XXXX. Thats not how it works on XXXX on ship or shore overseas.

Consumer Complaint: I used my Discover Credit Card to purchase an engine from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, of XXXX, FL, in XX/XX/2021. It never arrived and we never received it. I called the company and they sent me an emailed account form that says Discover voided the sale. I submitted proof to Discover of this document. They, without any explanation, refuse to defend that it was paid to the merchant because either Discover or the XXXX XXXX XXXX is committing fraud. Discover is supposed to protect me from the fraud either way. They dont want to make it right. I have filed multiple disputes and sent correlating documents many times and made many calls to Discover to no avail. They even refuse to respond to the voided sale document to defend if they paid in my behalf, as it would be an admission that a conflict exists that needs rectified. They have the copy of documents and continue to send me denial letters without any defense at all. I am seeking legal counsel. Discover was paid by me in good faith the full amount of {$1200.00}, as they billed me for it. I should be reimbursed by Discover and if they actually paid XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, they should seek reimbursement. If they didnt pay XXXX they need to reimburse me either way. Once legal fees come in, I will seek other damages. I want every regulator/ agency involved that this falls beneath their scope of authority.

Consumer Complaint: Discover ( XXXX ) is reporting derogatory information regarding a credit card account to ALL 3 of my credit bureaus. I mailed Discover certified letters requesting a signed contract for this account. When I did not receive a response I followed up and called Discover. Discover claims they never received my request even though the tracking number for each certified letter indicates both certified letters have been received. I have made both written & verbal request for a signed contract for the credit card account. Discover refuses to send me the request signed contract. The only thing Discover has provided to me were outstanding monthly bills & a general Customer Agreement not specific to the credit card account they are reporting to my credit file. In fact it is the same general Customer service agreement they have listed on Discover 's website, the website also makes reference to there being a Credit Card agreement for " your accounts '', which I am assuming that there should be specific terms agreed upon for each account specifically. I spoke with a customer service agent & she stated not all accounts have signed contracts & she could not provide me with one for the reported credit card account. I asked " if there is no signed contract outlining the specific terms to either account how did a agree to something blindly? '' Of course she had no response other than there is no signed contract/ agreement documentation showing I agreed to either credit card account. I will continue to document my efforts.
