Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX XXXX I contacted discover card to confirm that my auto pay was canceled. it was confirmed by the wreck as well as my app that it was canceled. a few days later out anyway through auto pay. I contacted them and they refunded me the {$200.00} that was not supposed to come out. I recently wanted to confirm again that it would not be coming out after I spoke to a rep in the executive office in reference to making sure this didn't happen again. we confirmed it I have an email that shows that it was done. however, another autopay payment went through again in same amount of {$200.00}. In addition to recent mishandling of my trust. I have no choice be to file complaint here and with Office of Attorney Generals office. I don't trust Discover anymore. They also allowed for a debt transfer check to be used without any security measure for identity theft that took place last year. I make 2 substantial payments a month to get debt paid off. It's is disgraceful how greedy Discover is.
