Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance sent inaccurate information to credit bureaus. They reported account was closed and charged off. This inaccurate information also negatively affected my credit, to the point where I was denied an auto loan after a vehicle was totaled as a result of the adverse information which they reported to the bureaus. Which affected me by not being able to replace that vehicle. Credit Acceptance knows they are wrong, There are numerous consumer lawsuits, A class action suit settled recently against them. Truth in lending violations in my contract, as well as predatory lending tactics.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Denied request to lower payments
Consumer Complaint: XXXX of this year, I went to a dealership in XXXX called XXXX XXXX. They verbally lied to me about the total amount that I would be paying. They told me that I would be paying {$8000.00} for a used XXXX XXXX XXXX after the {$2500.00} down payment. I agreed to that, and sing the contract given. I went home and discovered that the terms on the loan are actually over {$15000.00}, with the potential of being more than {$23000.00} after 5 years due to interest. Credit Acceptance is the the creditor here and I would like to be removed from the policy of the loan, so it doesn't affect my credit. The dealership did not follow Regulation Z or the Truth in Lending Act, where they have to give the details in the loans truthfully.
