Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: As the consumer, I hereby dispute the accuracy and completeness of the contested information. I categorically refuse payment for the accounts associated with CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP, specifically account # XXXX. My primary concern lies not in validation and verification but in the existence of inaccurate data within my consumer report. Pursuant to UCC Article 9, the lender is obligated to furnish certain notices pertaining to the repossession and disposition of the collateral. Non-compliance with these notice requirements may have implications on the legal validity of the repossession. Notably, I have not received any deficiency notices. I wish to assert my right to challenge misinformation, substantiated by evidence exposing questionable practices. These practices range from the use of inappropriate language intended to harass, oppress, or abuse ( contravening 15 U.S.C. 1692d ( 2 ) ) to engaging in deceptive debt collection tactics ( violating 15 U.S.C. 1692e ( 10 ) ). Failure to address this matter within the next 20 days will compel me to escalate the issue to the United States District Court. While I prefer an amicable resolution, the urgency of the situation necessitates swift attention to avert legal proceedings.
