Consumer Complaint: Back in 2014 I went to a car lot called XXXX XXXX. Was under the assumption that I was doing By-here-pay-here which doesnt include a financial bank. I gave the car agent {$500.00} down and he said hed work out the rest. He actually opened and fraudulent applied for an loan told the financial bank Credit Acceptance that I put down {$1300.00} just to get me approved. I didnt know until I started getting notifications in the mail. Within a month the car went down and had to be given back to the car lot. Once I talked again to Credit Acceptance they agreed to close the account and advised me they do not lend to that car lot again. A police report was made because my informs was used to open this account. I have that filed with XXXX Police Dept. They representative I spoke with at Credit Acceptance her name was XXXX and to this day this loan is still on my credit report fraudulently.

Consumer Complaint: I am who I am ( the original creditor ) of all things on my consumer file, I am not a credit repair agent nor paid attorney, I am sending this as myself the original creditor of all " alleged '' debts on my consumer file. I have been violated under multiple incidents by these consumer reporting agencies and will be seeking litigation if problem are not rectified immediately. The following rights of mine I believe have been violated and are causing punitive damages to my life as the consumer of the united states. ( Offenses number 1 ) 15 usc 1681 ( a ) ( 3 ) Consumer reporting agencies have " assumed '' a vital role in assembling and evaluating consumer credit and other information on consumers. I never gave XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX ( WRITTEN PERMISSION ) to have this information pertaining to my consumer transactions. Because I never gave this permission I believe this offense also falls under 18 usc 1028 aggravated identity theft ( A ) ( 1 ) ( offense number 2 ) Whoever, during and in relation to any felony violation enumerated in subsection ( c ), knowingly transfers, ( possesses, or uses, without lawful authority ), a means of identification of another person shall, in addition to the punishment provided for such felony, be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 2 years. ( Offense number 3 ) 15 usc 1681 ( Exclusions ) any authorization or approval of a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly by the issuer of a credit card or similar device. The credit " alleged '' " inquiries " are a private matter and if they are or were factual they are not supposed to be on my consumer file and report. ( offense number 4 ) 15 usc 1692g I also believe is a section regarding validation of debts. Numorius accounts have be disputed and have come back as validated when I ( THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR ) haven't received any type of notice within five days to verify or validate these " alleged debts '' ( I DO NOT VALIDATE NOR VERIFY ANY DEBTS ON MY CONSUMER FILE ). Furthermore under 15 usc 1692g ( c ) The failure of a consumer to dispute the validity of a debt under this section may not be construed by any court as an admission of liability by the consumer. All debts on the public and consumers are already paid for by the united states according to what I believe is 31 us code 3123 The Secretary of the Treasury shall pay interest due or accrued on the public debt. Now im not making threats but under 15 us code 1679g ( civil liablity ) Any person who fails to comply with any provision of this subchapter with respect to any other person shall be liable to such person in an amount equal to the sum of the amounts determined under each of the following paragraphs : actual damages, punitive damages and class action.

Consumer Complaint: I've been disputing fraud accounts on my credit report since XX/XX/2020. I keep sending multiple sets of letters to the bureaus and the creditors so the excuse of " we didn't get it '' doesn't happen. Furthermore, each letter is certified mail with tracking and each letter shows signed and delivered and yet the bureaus are still not taking any actions. The accounts are not showing in dispute nor are they removed from my report. The accounts always show up with different name variations and different account number variations and yet the bureaus seem to ignore the trend and let these fraud accounts affect my credit score. I have requested the investigation to be initiated and also verifiable proof to be submitted should the account claim to be mine. Not only have I not received any mail showing the verifiable proofs needed to justify the accounts to be on my report, I haven't even received any letters at all stating the investigations have begun. Per the FCRA and federal law, the process is supposed to be 30 days. 250 days later, I'm still here shelling out money for certified mail with no end in sight and no results to show. This is my last option before I take this up with my lawyers and sue for full compensations and damages incurred. Finally, it seems that when these complaints are submitted, the bureaus are using the excuse that they " can't confirm my identity '' to get away with taking no actions on my credit report. Please investigate this as well.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to get assistance with Credit Acceptance. This is my second complaint against this company. I attempted to get this account deleted from my file due to inaccurate information being reported on my credit file. In response to my first complaint Credit Acceptance sent me documentation for a vehicle that I already paid off. They are reporting a second vehicle with the same account number. I deployed with the Delaware Army National Guard 198th Expeditionary Signal Battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom ( Spartan Shield ) in XX/XX/XXXX. I got divorced prior to leaving for my deployment. This vehicle does not belong to me. My credit report shows that there has not been a payment for this vehicle since XX/XX/XXXX. 18 months of late payments have been reported. This derogatory item is negatively affecting my ability to use my VA loan to purchase my first home along with causing me anxiety due to the adverse impact is has on my credit score. I was discouraged upon my return from deployment in XXXX of XXXX, to find that my credit score was severely damaged by a vehicle that does not belong to me. It is unfair that I am being held liable for payments that violate my rights as a Servicemember. 50U.S. Code Chapter 50-Servicemembers Civil Relief Act declares in the case of a member of the National Guard, includes service under a call to active service authorized by the President or the Secretary of Defense for a period of more than 30 consecutive days under section 502 ( f ) of title 32 for purposes of responding to a national emergency declared by the President and supported by Federal funds there is XXXX. Protection under installment contracts for purchase or lease and 105 Stat. 39, related to protection of persons secondarily liable. I am filing this complaint against Credit Acceptance for violating my rights under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. I attempted to resolve this issue myself. Please address this matter immediately. I am asking that Credit Acceptance delete this item from XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX immediately and permanently. As a Veteran, I have served my country honorably and would like the opportunity to live a full and productive life with credit in good standing in the country that I serve.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 a late payment was place on my consumer credit file by Credit Acceptance. Prior to this time. My original payment ate was the XXXX of the month. I discussed with Credit Acceptance that due to an hardship was it possible to change the due date to a later date of the month of which they agreed. I was charged {$20.00} to make the payment adjustment in the date. To make payments due on the XXXX of the month. In addition, I agreed to pay {$570.00} instead of the original {$510.00} payment to have the payment registered as on time. Even though I agreed to make these payments and followed the directions, they continued to report these payments as late to the credit bureaus. I set up automatic deductions and increased the deductible amount to {$600.00} to avoid the late fees. But the arrears just grew from about {$300.00} to over {$3000.00}, even though the payment was taken out of my bank account by the creditor every month as per their " agreement '' with me. Additionally they continued to report the account as late to the credit bureaus. In the original agreement Credit Acceptance allowed a 15-day grace period for being late after the due date ; however, late fees and reporting occurred if you were only late 1 day late. It was unclear how or whether the extra money paid each month was applied to reduce the late payments. I requested an audit of the account to verify the account and never received it. The company and bureaus did not follow the law and posted un-validated information about the account with Credit Acceptance. They violated my consumers rights by the following : 15 USC 1692f ( 1 ) unfair or unconscionable means to collect or attempt to collect any debt, 15 USC 1692g 809 ( b ). Validation of debts - Disputed debts. The information reported by the credit bureau 's is inaccurate : The balance, the monthly payment, the payment history, and the payment status are all incorrect.

Consumer Complaint: I got sold into this loan and did not really understand the loan. I was told by the representative that I could refinance in a year which on my credit report it shows I was in good standing, but they make it impossible for you to do that. I did not understand how much of a predatory loan it was. My car started to break down shortly after I bought it and the wrong size battery was put in the car which in time causes more problems. I contacted a company about refinancing the loan and they said that credit acceptance sold me the car for way more than it was worth and that i would have to pay the difference of {$7000.00} before I could refinance the loan. I was told that during covid they put me on disaster relief which put my payments on hold but then I see that they put a mark on my credit for more than 150 days late after I told them I was refinancing the loan with someone else. Due to them doing this I was not able to refinance. Everytime I try to pay online it tells me I can not pay online due to past due balance so I am forced to pay with a representative which they charge you to pay over the phone. Usually the representatives are rude and do not want to give you any payment options they just want to take the car. i bought this car a couple years ago at {$14000.00} and now I still owe {$11000.00}. I asked for copies of my payments and other paperwork showing how much I paid and how much I still owe because that information is not online and I was denied. When you tell them you are financially not able to make the payments they ask you why and then they want to put you on a payment plan that is even more than what you pay monthly. I pay XXXX a month and fell behind on bills. My only options are to pay {$400.00} to start the payment agreement and {$300.00} everytime i get paid. So they want to me to pay {$1000.00} a month roughly when I expressed I am in a financial hardship. I would of been happier spending {$6000.00} on this car as there is one down my street selling for that much but instead if I am not able to pay this car loan off within 6 years I will have paid {$23000.00}. I would be okay with this if I had a newer car and paid {$400.00} for. That is not what I am paying for. I have a 2014 chevy cruze. I tried tp trade this car in fopr another car and the delaership told me that I should have never signed a car loan through credit acceptance because it ruins peoples credit and now that is exactly what I am dealing with. I have XXXX children and another one on the way so you could imagine how hard it is going to be for me to have a XXXX XXXX with XXXX kids but now I feel like there is absolutely nothing I can do and on top of that credit acceptance ruined my chances of getting a home because of the damage that has been done to my credit. I have been very communitive with them on my financial hardships and am left to suffer with the fact that I was sold into such a bad company that does not care at all for their customers.
