Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX my grandson went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. and called me with the representative seeking for me for him to get a car. I told him I would not. The rep. and my grandson, without my authorization or knowledge and outside of my presence ( given I was working that day ) electronically signed the paperwork in my name and, upon information and belief, on a " wet copy '' forged my signature without my consent. The account and contract were assigned to CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP.. When I received a statement from Credit Acceptance Corp., I reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, they refused to do anything. I requested all the information from Credit Acceptance Corp. and they sent me a statement regarding how to deal with identity theft. I then went to the XXXX Police and a police report, and I also filed a police report with the XXXX County Sheriff 's Department. Credit Acceptance refuse to help me. So far, I have not received any justice.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, I was approved for a car with XXXX XXXX XXXX of Virginia. I live in Maryland and had to catch the subway to XXXX where I joined XXXX to take me to the dealership. Upon my arrival, the documents were already laid out for me to sign. It was approaching closing time and I was urged to without even time to read what I was signing. The lady told me that it is past closing time and she had to go. I had to sign. I was able to see after signing that my monthly payment would be {$480.00}. The amount of credit was {$18000.00}. And the finance charge will be {$14.00}, XXXX. All this came to my knowledge after I finished signing. There was no turning back, it seemed. Two weeks later, the Covid Pandemic struck. I lost time at work but I still managed to be making payments. After paying close to {$9000.00}, the XXXX I financed, has gone nowhere. I called Credit Acceptance and they told me there is nothing they could do. I tried to refinance the car with XXXX XXXX, they would not. They said i owe more on the car than the car is worth. The car is used and is beginning to require serious maintenance.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance has given me the most horrible experience. Their company has a history of complaints and unethical practices. Its motto, " We change lives, '' yes they do change your life to XXXX. They have been reporting on my credit for over 5 years now and adding interest I am assuming not sure because the car has been with their company for over 5 years and the interest just started in XXXX. I reached out to them, and they sent me a payment history that is so different than what they are reporting on my credit report. I called and spoke to someone and they told me my account is open when for 4 years my account was closed. How does a closed account become reopened with no merchandise? Credit Acceptance 's loan performance disclosures belie a deeply flawed business model. In XXXX, Michigan thus far in XXXX, nearly one in eight of all available civil lawsuits filed in the city involve Credit Acceptance suing borrowers. They have been untruthful regarding Truth In Lending Act violations due to hidden finance charges. I want this company to " do the right thing ''. Something is wrong with the morals and ethics of this company. People are more than just a profit. Do honest business with clients. Please stop reporting inaccurate and start practicing ethical business with customers.
