Consumer Complaint: I had a voluntary repossession with Credit Acceptance in XXXX or XXXX of 2018 because the vehicle was having issues and was not worth what I was paying for it. Since then there has been ZERO contact. They never notified me of the sell of the vehicle or proceeds that were gathered from that. It wasn't until I logged into the account that the amount of {$6000.00} was deducted from the account. The original cost of the loan was {$16000.00}, so that made the balance around {$12000.00}. However, since this there have been fees being attached to this loan over and over again. The amount over 5 years is up to over $ 19k. They have not contacted me to collect the balance and tell me my disputes a " frivolous '' so they will not be investigating. I also believed I was incorrectly charged and deceived by dealer finance charges in the amount of $ 11k. They also never corrected my name on the account as it was spelled wrong.

Consumer Complaint: I have had difficulty with this company from the moment I found out there was a loan taken out in my name. Someone had tried to purchase a vehicle in my name several years ago. To date, I still have not been able to remove this from my credit report. I contacted Credit Acceptance and submitted their fraud departments paperwork 2x. The first time they lost my paperwork. So, I had to wait for them to send me another packet. Credit Acceptance has done nothing to try to resolve this situation. However, when I try to contact the company they just insist that I have to pay this bill of approximately {$19000.00} for a car that was taken out in my name which was fraudulent. I do not owe this bill. I made a report with the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX police at that time. I want it and all reports made by them to be completely removed from my credit report. Now, it is difficult for me to get any kind of loan for a house or car or anything else. The lack of this companys ability to communicate effectively and resolve this issue is completely unprofessional. This is especially so in my case because there is zero proof, zero signatures, or anything of the sort that would connect me to the purchase of a vehicle using Credit Acceptance.

This was an illegal repossession followed by illegally reporting on my credit report ; this should have been investigated and corrected immediately. I tried contacting XXXX and XXXX Credit Bureaus requesting a complete payment history with this account for me to review the exact date on which the late payments and repossession were posted. Unfortunately, there was no successful resolution provided nor feedback heard from the concerned Bureaus. There was definitely an error on their part. You are condoning illegal behavior and the bureaus are willfully in violation of FCRA.

My payment due dates are the XXXX of every month and my payment was made in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I called and spoke with a rep over the phone and she confirmed that the payment was made on time and was not sure why a late payment was on my account and she instructed me to write the " Credit reporting department '' who handles these issues. On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote them a letter and they responded weeks later that the account is " accurate '' and they are not going to update my account. I have proof that my auto load for that month was in fact paid on time from my receipt of payment made on XX/XX/XXXX. This inaccurate reporting is affecting my credit profile and score and I need credit acceptance to rectify this info and update it correctly immediately upon receipt of this notice.
