Consumer Complaint: Credit acceptance corporation fraudulently misrepresented the loan that was allegedly financed by the company as a loan to the Buyer when in-fact it was a loan to the Dealership that they have employed unfair and deceptive practices to get the Buyer to pay the Dealership Loan through collections. Credit Acceptance corporation knows that it is a Lender to the Dealership but would have the Buyer believe it weren't so. The alleged amount financed is not True statement under Truth in Lending but rather they only pay 43 % of the alleged amount financed to maximize economic profits. The reason Credit Acceptance Corporation does this is because they only expect to collect 64 % of the alleged amount financed which is nothing more than the loan that they made to the Dealership for the rights to service the contracts.

Consumer Complaint: This is hurting my credit score which is very important to me. I know you will understand me in this situation this is becoming a frustration to me. I don't know what's happening to my credit report and I don't how you guys come up to this conclusion and report it on my credit report. This is very stressful for me because I always pay on time. Under 15 USC 1666b this billing error must be corrected because I always pay on time this is clearly a discrepancy on this account which clearly violates the 15 USC 1666 ( b ). Not only was I never late on this account, but according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the information furnisher is required to notify me of the insertion of negative listings. Since I have disputed the lates with the creditor, and you obviously " verified '' them, I am very curious as to what kinds of " records '' you may have for this alleged account. My dad passed away and it was costing more to keep the car I tried for months to sell it. they sold the car and it had a {$1200.00} balance but on my credit report it has {$4900.00}. balance on my credit report and its wrong and it needs to come off this account has been sold to 2 collection agencies. Every call get from them the price goes up every time they sell this account. i was told the car was sold in a auction

Consumer Complaint: Predatory loaning and XXXX the interest rate as well over the legal limit Federal and my state at 22.99 % they rope you into these deals knowing you're desperate plus put {$3000.00} down payment on a {$9900.00} car and they add a two-year warranty they don't tell you about and XXXX insurance they don't tell you about. So your down payment goes toward nothing and as the paperwork says I end up paying {$18000.00} for a {$9900.00} car I put {$3000.00} on this company is crooked and has been doing this to people for years now and already has lawsuits against them predatory loaning and usury is astronomically wrong. Also we signed all the paperwork at the dealership and the signatures on the uploaded contract that I put on definitely not our signatures

Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX has received a retail installment contract- consumer credit document in the mail from Credit Acceptance . Upon looking at this document i notice several violations against me the Consumer one in particular is US code 15 USC 1605 it appears that the apr for my state North carolina the max is set 8 % and should not go over 16 percent. I didnt agree to the charges and neither were they disclosed me prior to agreeing to this document. As another violation i came across is US code 15 USC 1635 the right to recision. I was never made aware that i could rescind this contract in 3 days. Its stated no where in the contract. Also there is US code 15 USC 1640. Due to the constant calls numerous times a week from different numbers from michigan and private phone calls that also cause problems in my life you have also violated US code 15 1692k.I know that with all violations listed that I am entitled to a refund of all moneys paid to the debtor Credit Acceptance. Including the cash down payment on this credit transaction that i use my social security number to purchase. Also I am asking that this be removed from all consumer reports, as well as the title to the real property and lien be removed.

Consumer Complaint: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE : WAITED UNTIL 87 % of the loan was paid to repossess the vehicle the loan was for due to delinquency, the same day I had made a payment, without a phone call or even an email to ask for more first. They just sent the truck over, causing much more to be paid and not towards the loan. This is a scam. This company reported increased annually in profits. I can see why with this kind business practice. Credit Acceptance annual revenue for XXXX was $ XXXX, a 11.18 % increase from XXXX Credit Acceptance annual revenue for XXXX was $ XXXX, a 12.11 % increase from XXXX. I was delinquent with a loan via Credit Acceptance due the covid-19 related issues. I made a {$70.00} payment today XX/XX/XXXX to start getting things moving in the right direction for the month. Approx. 2 hours later a tow truck came and loaded up the car, I talked to them and they said they can wait while I call the loaners since there was a payment just a few hours ago. The Credit Acceptance representative advised with a payment for an ADDITIONAL {$330.00} he could stop but it had to be now, over the phone. I wasn't able to immediately and the removed the vehicle. I got off the phone and called the bank to move money over and called back to make the payment. This time another representative advised a new total of {$650.00} was due today or they would sell the car for the remaining loan balance of approx. {$2000.00} ( after paying them for several years on a {$16000.00} loan ) After explaining to Credit Acceptance rep that I just made a partial payment for XXXX and when my next pay date was they told me they would wait until Friday XX/XX/XXXX to sell the property for balance unless the {$650.00} was paid in full. I ended the call and was advised by another party this is probably not correct from them and called back and got another representative that advised that given the {$400.00} already paid today that WILL be against the {$650.00} leaving {$250.00} remaining, I paid this amount to process the release to the local tow company. Now the XXXX XXXX XXXX hasn't sent to release in 1 hour and 5 minutes and after speaking with them twice, being advised it takes 5 minutes twice, and they assured me they sent it, twice. I am doubting I can get my car back today for work tomorrow at this rate since the local tow company will likely close at some point.
