Consumer Complaint: ON XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with a representative from the settlement department of Credit Acceptance about a pay off on an XXXX XXXX XXXX .I am the co -signer on this vehicle for my Grand daughter. Upon the purchase of the vehicle I was sold a warranty incase anything happened to the vehicle I can use it to cover the cost and get discount on services etc. However we were faced with large out of pocket repairs on the vehicle. Every company I went to didn't except the warranty company that was sold to me by credit accepatance as A GARANTEE protection. I will show the recpts where I had an out of pocket expense of {$2400.00} because they didn't except services from this particular company because they have a bad reputation of not paying providers. I reported it to the dealership and I was told to try many different locations and then have it towed there. I noticed this contract was under the truth in lending act and no way should I have ever been in this position and my rights under the truth in lending retail installment contract has been violated. I am XXXX and is living on limited income and I don't deal with Debt. When I had to pay the out of pocket expense the account became delinquent. Credit Acceptance has done nothing to help us regarding the Bogus warranty that was sold to me under the truth and lending act that was attached to the installment agreement. I explained the matter and requested if I can pay {$15.00} as a settlement to pay off this car. They told me the car is {$22.00} and some change and my pay off is {$20.00} and change because they dot settle. also the interest is compounded .I asked about a payment plan however they will give you a payment plan but the interest will keep accruing on the portion that is not being paid which it will keep you almost close to the balance.of the original finance amount. its like you will never pay the car off and you will be paying compounded interest. i was told the warranty i was sold and never was able to be used could be cancelled however i would not get any money back from a warranty that was not accepted anywhere. If they did this to me im sure they doing this to all their customers. They are trapping people in this retail installment agreement and almost forcing unrealistic terms that people are having issues with. Credit acceptance is not taking any of the responsibilty of what they are having the consumers sign. We also never recv 'd a truth in lending seperate paper explaining our rights under the truth in lending act. that was another violation under U.S. CODE 3952 PROTECTION UNDER INSTALLMENT CONTRACTS FOR PIRCHASE OR LEASE.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX lied to me about the used vehicle they sold me. They sold me a lemon and told me it was a perfectly good car that had to pass multiple state test before being sold. My car completely broke and was not drivable shortly after the first payment! The oil damaged my apartment parking lot and when I brought it to their attention they only offered me things they knew I could not afford. I made the purchase back in XXXX and am barely finding out that the voluntary repo I was forced to do is affecting my credit real bad. And now I'm stuck with an XXXX balance that I can not afford. My life has gone down the drain due to losing my car and not being able to make my money. I'm barely finding out I can submit a complaint with this agency, which is why it's tooken so long to reach out.

Consumer Complaint: Keep getting calls to come buy a car with a warranty on XX/XX/XXXX I finally went to the company and got a XXXX XXXX XXXX signed the paper work the same day the car left me in the middle of a intersection car wouldn't excellerate finally after pressing the gas to the floor XXXX I got out the middle the road the rpms going up no power car whining got it home took it to the dealer the next day after I tried to have it towed bc it was doing the same thing Tuesday I broke down I called the dealership they told me to call the number on my paper work that I have free towing under warranty I called to have it towed it was not covered under warranty I got the car back to the dealership told them to cancel the purchase because the car is faulty they would not cancel I left the car there XXXX XXXX I get a call from XXXX to come pick my car up that the auto sales dealer told them to call me to pick it up so I did I took it home didn't get any paper work on the vehicle until Monday comes down to it it needs a complete new transmission the company that sold me the vehicle told me I did something to the vehicle they won't cancel at all the car broke down 22 hours after haveing it the warranty that they sold with the XXXX will not cover the repair bc they said it was the car dealership responsibility to fix since it was pre existing when I bought the vehicle I am now without that car haven't had it since I have really done the paper work bc it breaking down and they charged me {$32.00} for a vehicle I don't have I have XXXX children and a XXXX mother that car could have costed us our lives the dealership won't even let me trade the vehicle I asked them to trade the next day after buying the car these people won't call me back telling me to make sure I pay for the car even though I don't have the vehicle please help me it's going to ruin my credit these people sole me a very faulty dangerous vehicle the gas pedal stops working on it on top of all the other stuff I wrote about this XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
