Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: This loan was paid in full as of XX/XX/XXXX following a total loss insurance payment. During the insurance process was advised by credit acceptance that account referred to insurance department and account would be on hold. Credit acceptance received this payment prior to XX/XX/XXXX and yet proceeded to report the account as delinquent and open. The current reported balance, status, and payment history have all been inaccurately reported. We brought this to their attention and were advised to file a dispute with the reporting bureaus which has been done. These reporting actions directly violate the FCRA and show a willful and malicious reporting behavior.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Consumer Complaint: I am disputing an issue with Credit Acceptance. This company repossessed a vehicle which I was the co- borrower for. I had no knowledge of how to locate the vehicle before it got repossessed. I spoke with the company about it with no success. Once I reported the issues with the CFPB before thats when they stated the vehicle was repossessed. Before that they was reporting it unpaid by 120 days late for about 2 years. They also re-aged this account multiple times. It is illegal to re-age credit and it is Illegal to not send out paperwork about the repossession. I have no correspondence at all for the vehicle being repossessed. They never said where it was sold or when it was sold. I want this account removed from my credit report due to the inaccuracies.
