Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 I sent a debt validation requests to the bureaus for a debt that was reporting on my credit report by a company called Convergent Outsourcing. Convergent sent me what they call " debt validation '' and claimed the debt was valid. On XX/XX/23 I sent a debt validation request directly to Convergent Outsourcing because all they supplied me with in their debt validation were random pages of a XXXX phone bill. No matter how many times I tried the numbers did not add up to the debt they are claiming I owe which is {$450.00}. The closest number I got while doing the math was {$390.00}. I wrote them back requesting a breakdown of fees and to explain how they got the amount they claim I owe, as well as any official contract bearing my signature that would prove the debt as valid or belonging to me. All they did was send me the SAME exact documents they originally sent me, which in NOW WAY shows how they calculated the debt they claim I owe, and no official documents that would EVER prove the debt in any way belongs to me. They are in violation of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX -False or misleading representations and probably more violations as well.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing account : # XXXX XXXX account # : XXXX XX/XX/XXXX To Whom It May Concern, This reply is in response to Convergent Outsourcing letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, which I received from your office. As a result of my investigation, I am replying with the following information : I sent the first debt validation letter to Convergent Outsourcing Inc., XX/XX/XXXX. The next debt validation letter was sent on XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a debt validation letter to Convergent Outsourcing requesting additional information. I sent a third debt validation letter on XX/XX/XXXX. Convergent Outsourcing did not respond to any of the requests sent. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing requesting I submit a fraud claim for the account in question. I do not have a contract with Convergent Outsourcing and will not be providing my drivers license, social security number and/or any personal information. This is a stall tactic and again, Convergent Outsourcing has had more than 3 months to provide the required debt validation information under the Consumer Protection Act. Therefore, the debt Convergent Outsourcing is attempting to collect must be removed from my credit file immediately. In addition, XXXX confirmed XXXX did not release the debt from them until XX/XX/XXXX. By law, ( 3 ) companies, XXXX, XXXX and Convergent Outsourcing can not collect on the same debt, at the same time. Convergent Outsourcing has failed to provide a signed contract by me, nor have they completed the required by law, debt validation I have requested on XX/XX/XXXX. Please remove this account from my credit report effective immediately. Respectfully, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Convegent Outsourcing is reporting a debt on my XXXX and XXXX reports that XXXX has removed. This debt was disputed and the credit bureau had a certain amount of time between 30-45 days to validate this debt if not removed. The debt was not validated within said timeframe and therefore XXXX removed the debt. The original credit sold that debt and had a new debt collector report it under bogus reasons as validated. FCRA gives creditors a certain amount of time to validate a debt and in that time of not done the debt shall be removed. Follow suit protocol has not been followed and this is a violation of my rights. I do not have a contract with this company nor can they produce a contract I ever signed with their business. This debt needs to be removed off my remaining two creditors reporting system.
