Consumer Complaint: Hello, I was a victim of online hackers. They hacked my bank account and Coinbase account. The hackers transferred thousands of dollars in funds to Coinbase then Coinbase approved over 20 something fraudulent transactions in less than minutes, they transferred funds to XXXX XXXX and neither companies will respond by help desk nor email. Coinbase will not answer any emails, they dont have a live customer support. We have yet to receive a response from Coinbase. Coinbase failed to secure my account against unauthorized crypto activity and has no protocols in place to flag fraudulent transactions, they still have not even froze my account. This has been a very frustrating and emotionally depressive situation, I lost all my hard earned savings in minutes. I read online about possibly joining a Class Action lawsuit against Coinbase. Please if theres any info you can provide some legal advice I would greatly appreciate getting on a call with someone who can help. Thank you XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My Coinbase account was hacked onXX/XX/XXXX and I can't get Coinbase to respond except for initial email in which they said {$12000.00} was stolen and they informed me to open a new account and they would transfer my assets whatever is left into the newly created Coinbase account which I did as told and I informed Coinbase and still no response. I can't accurately report the crime with the police or FBi until I get transaction amounts that were stolen!!!!! I currently have no idea what I have left and Coinbase has offered virtually no help whatsoever!!! Im absolutely devastated and the company doesn't care!!!

Consumer Complaint: I purchased and stored cryptocurrency using Coinbase in XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I sold my cryptocurrency holdings ( Cardano, Bitcoin, and Ethereum ) on Coinbase for {$5100.00} USD. When I attempted to withdraw the USD to my XXXX XXXX account which is linked to my account on the site, I received an error message stating " An error occurred. Your account has been locked, please visit coinbase.com to resolve ''. I had already gone through the account identity verification process, and had enabled the secure 2XXXXstep verification to access to my account on the site, so I was confused as to why my account would be locked. On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a support claim on the Coinbase Support site detailing this issue. Shortly after submitting it, I received confirmation that my support claim had been received by Coinbase. On XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX EST, I received an email from Coinbase Support asking for a screenshot of the error message I saw when attempting to withdraw USD to my bank account. At XXXX EST that day, I replied to the email providing the requested screenshot. After this correspondence, I received no further guidance or messages from Coinbase in any form. I followed up via email on XX/XX/XXXX, still to no response. I called their Support Hotline numerous times, but was never able to connect with a live service agent, only an automated system that provided no meaningful interactions and only repeated information that is readily available on the Coinbase Support site. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, after waiting XXXX business days since submitting my support claim, I issued a formal complaint via the Coinbase Complaint system. However, given my abysmal customer experience with Coinbase thus far, I am concerned that the issue will not be resolved. Additionally, I am prevented from accessing my account at the moment, as Coinbase renewed their user agreement to include limitations on the litigious actions and legal rights of its users who have complaints. Given my current situation, I feel it would not be prudent for me to agree to these terms prior to having this issue fully resolved. This issue has been incredibly disheartening. Had I known how little customer service support Coinbase had, I would have never decided to invest in crypto using their platform. I can not believe the number of hoops I have had to jump through just to reagin access to my assets.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted via email that someone was attempting to purchase a large amt of product from XXXX and there was identity theft suspected. A phone number was included so I called it. They said I had reached XXXX XXXX XXXX and that there indeed was identity theft. I would need to do what they directed to closed all the accts that were open in my name and cancel the expenses. I was directed to open several apps on my phone and to go to different sites, purchase XXXX XXXX, XXXX, gift cards and XXXX and then the company ( XXXX XXXX ) would cancel the orders and protect my identity further. I did as they directed because they sent text msgs stating there were several deposits to my acct to cover the expenses. The total is over {$6000.00}. No deposits were made. Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, XXXX, I entered into an investment contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX Crypto ( the Scammer ) to transfer XXXX XXXX. Entering the online trading sphere comes with many hopes but due to Companys Shady activities and dealings, I lost my money within a very short period of time. I advised Coinbase of this fact on XX/XX/XXXX and I didnt receive any satisfactory response so far. I am a victim of Fraud as I was under a lot of pressure and coerced through very sophisticated methods specifically created by these criminals. I reiterate that there was no trading account and no trading actually took place. This was all a scam and the recipient simply pocketed the money. Since XX/XX/XXXX, I have been attempting to resolve this matter with Coinbase, but they have failed to settle this matter satisfactorily. I have been dealing with Coinbase in good faith and am deeply disappointed in how they have handled this matter thus far. I must emphasize an important point that I was not experienced, wanted a long-term investment during the difficult period of circuit breaker, but instead, the Merchants so-called guided strategy staked with my money. Their promised bonus credits and repeated reassurances of making returns did not materialize but had lured my money.

Consumer Complaint: I had a recurring withdrawal set up with Coinbase to purchase {$25.00} every Saturday. This recurring transfer performed for three weeks ( XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ). However, it did not occur the following Saturday ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I contacted Coinbase and asked for an explanation. All they did was " look into it '' repeatedly and then the representatives would respond with a generic cut and paste of how to set up a recurring transfer. I explained to them they did not answer my question, namely, why my recurring transfer was eliminated without my permission. I did not authorize deleting my scheduled recurring transfers but Coinbase could not give me an answer how it was deleted. This is clearly a security breach of some sort. Thank you, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Yesterday, as of this writing, I attempted to access my Coinbase Account ( it is the standard account, not pro, or any other special name ) where upon entering my credentials I was prompted with a " new '' user agreement, and an account upgrade, both of which I declined. From then on I've been unable to access my account or manage my funds in any way. There should have been notice of this locking out of the account. I had no indication that I would not be able to access my funds without agreeing. I've contacted Coinbase about this, but in the mean time this company is keeping me from making decisions about the funds that I've entrusted them to hold.

Consumer Complaint: Coinbase has an exchange to buy and sell XXXX but it also has an application called " Coinbase XXXX '' where cXXXX can be stored. Coinbase claims that the XXXX application is a safe place to store XXXX. On XX/XX/21 I had {$120000.00} on XXXX stored on coinbase XXXX and these were withdrawn without my consent. I don't know how anyone would be able to withdraw money from my coinbase XXXX when I did not authorized any payments. There was no verification, no secutiry steps taken to make sure that I wanted to send a payment. The money was simply taken out of my XXXX I contacted coinbase and they said they were only in charge of the XXXX on XXXX XXXX but not on the XXXX application. Because of this, I was forced to pay more money as the company who withdrew my XXXX said that I needed to pay more to get my money back. It ended up being a total of {$220000.00} stolen from my coinbase XXXX on XXXX. I have reported this to all the agencies but I also believe that coinbase should be responsible as they claim that coinbase XXXX is a safe application to store XXXX which is false.
