Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: I used my Coinbase XXXX card 2 times at a XXXX store for purchases. One debit on XX/XX/XXXX19th for {$24.00} and a second one on XX/XX/XXXX for {$70.00}. The debit transactions initially showed up as pending transactions for {$120.00} each and that amount was deducted from my account. This is normal for a few days to a week and then the actual charges will show up and adjust the amount deducted. After a month I complained to Coinbase because the charges were still showing up as {$120.00} each. Coinbase then changed the charges from " Pending '' to " Completed '' but still at the erroneous amounts. I have contacted them multiple times via phone and email to no resolution. Even asking to speak to a supervisor which they refused.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with Coinbase about a year ago. I went to buy some additional crypto currency which was very difficult and then they locked my account. I simply want to cash out with them and they will, not allow it. I noticed on the website " XXXX XXXX '' this is a VERY common complaint with them. All I want to do is cash out, access the cash I have with them which I am 100 % entitled to, but they will not allow me to do so!

Consumer Complaint: I noticed that to buy the cryptocurrency XXXX, Coinbase said there was no fee highlighted in green on the preview screen. I clicked one button, the transaction went through, and there was a fee of more than three dollars. This was dishonest and misleading. I never would have bought it if I knew there was a fee. I have included the preview screen and the confirmation screen.

Consumer Complaint: Received email from Coinbase indicating that a transaction was attempted using my name and information. The email included an attachment and case ID number. I did not initiate the transaction nor have I ever heard of this company. I tried to contact Coinbase by going to their website, but there was no way to report fraud or identity theft without an ID number for an account, which I don't have. I did not open the email or attachment.

Consumer Complaint: On Tuesday XX/XX/2023 at approximately XXXX, a fraudster gained access to my Coinbase account and transferred XXXX worth {$250000.00} out of my Coinbase Wallet. I realized what was happening while the transfer was still pending and immediately contacted Coinbase Support. I was speaking with Coinbase Support while the criminal transfer was still pending. However, Coinbase failed to cancel the pending transfer. Coinbase failed to flag the transaction as potentially fraudulent. Coinbase failed to place a temporary hold on the transfer until its authenticity could be verified. Coinbase failed to respond to my multiple concerns, cases, and complaints.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to create an account on Coinbase. To my surprise, I learned my email was already on file. I have zero recollection of opening account, but since anything is possible, I tried to reset the password. It said my URL wasn't recognized, nor was my phone number. My URL hasn't changed in 5 years, and I have had the same phone number for 20 years and the same email since XXXX. I attempted to reach the company through customer service, by phone, and by social media. Without account credentials, I can go no further. I ABSOLUTELY have never received an email asking me to verify a Coinbase account, but my brother, a XXXX XXXX, tells me it would be easy for someone to spoof my email to set up an account with their own credentials. My concern is fraud. My data was compromised in multiple incidents : XXXX, XXXX, and the XXXX XXXX. I didscovered someone was using/spoofing my phone, which I have FINALLY shut down. Now I want this account closed. Any help in resolving greatly appreciated.
