Consumer Complaint: In 2017 Coinbase removed access from my account and since then have been unwilling to have a conversation with me as to why this was done, or work with me on any attempts to rectify this situation. I am not sure the exact reason why they decided to close my account, just that they are claiming they were acting in relation to potential FINCen regulations, but I have worked with the New York Attorney Generals office to help put away a criminal in relation to Bitcoin transactions and received immunity for any past transactions, so there is no reason the government would come after me or Coinbase for having me as a customer. I have told them this, and was willing to show them any documentation they needed, but they have claimed this decision was permanent. I live in NY where Coinbase essentially holds a monopoly over trading apps, and I have been unable to trade certain assets because they have denied me use of their tools, and have started buying up platforms that I would have been able to use before they started buying up other companies like XXXX and XXXX. Im not sure where else to go to solve this issue, or if there are any powers the CFPB has to rectify this situation, but if they wont tell me why they have closed my account, I dont even know what rules I violated, and again, I had direct relations with the government, so I dont know why they wont allow me to trade just to buy and sell my digital currency investments. To me, this is akin to an internet service provider cutting off my ability to use the internet.

Issue: Managing, opening, or closing your mobile wallet account

Consumer Complaint: Coinbase has changed their vault setup without notifying their users. Coinbase used to allow multiple vaults for the same cryptocurrency. Now they only allow one. I currently have three vaults. I can see my other two vaults and I can transfer bitcoin into them, but there is no way in the interface to access them and transfer bitcoin out of them. This is a bug on Coinbase interface. I currently have more than one bitcoin vault, the bitcoins that are in my other vaults are now frozen stuck. When I go to the vault to withdraw, there is no drop-down to choose my other vaults. It defaults to one vault. It will let me transfer bitcoin into the other vaults that are inaccessible, but I can not withdraw bitcoin from those vaults. I have created a case on XXXX Several attempts to speak to someone. I created a claim, no response.

Consumer Complaint: I have made contact with the CFTC and SEC and they have raised a complaint ticket for me. I have also contacted a law firm. Ive repeatedly asked you to help me but you have promised escalation 6 times yet not done anything. Youve just been delaying things and your customer service is appalling. My litecoin is sat in the wrong address due to you having a mobile upgrade and technical issues on XX/XX/21. This was well documented on social media. Ive been advised by crypto experts in this field that only you can recover my ltc assets for me as you own the private keys. Further my lawyer has told me to make you aware that I will be holding you liable for the price fluctuations that go against me by allowing me to be without my assets for over 3 weeks. This is know as conversion theft. The longer you allow this to continue the larger and larger the claim for damages is growing. At this stage I want to simply resolve matters without involving external agencies or ligation but time is running out. You have made me suffer and mentally tortured me over fears of losing my life savings for something you could have sorted this out so quickly. I have emailed you multiple times and have reached out on XXXX support but you have nothing once responded and tried escalated matters for me. I urge you to do the right thing and deal with this immediately this is your last opportunity.
