Consumer Complaint: I suffered from a very horrible up hill battle of identity theft. Everything from home utilities to credit cards. JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEM continuously places a fraudulent debt on my credit report when they company was notified of this being fraudulent. I have filed a ftc and police report 3 to 5 years ago, and this did not slow them down. It's almost like this debt company is ran in automation without any human dignity or interaction. They re opened the debt XX/XX/2021. It was previously removed from a different debt collector. Now Jefferson capital starts this over.

This is all equivalent to a police report as well. This is my second request to you to remove these fraudulent accounts from all three of the credit bureaus before I take legal action. Send the validation of these accounts as well with your response back to this complaint. I want the account name, account balance, past due amount, and date of last activity verified and provided to me as well.

Consumer Complaint: My identity has been comprised since sometime in XXXX at least. Last XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice from the Virginia Employment Commission ( VEC ) stating that I filed for unemployment benefits. However, I've been gainfully employed the last 16 years with the same company and my company denied the claim due to it's fraudulence. I filed a police report with my local police department, added a fraud alert and credit freeze and pulled my three credit reports. I saw three accounts that I did not open, charged off in collections- all opened in XXXX during covid. I reached out to XXXX XXXX and advised of the unauthorized account, I asked for proof such as picture ID or signed contract - they stated the account had been sold. I reached out to Jefferson Capital also advising them of the unauthorized account they stated they would look into it. I disputed the tradeline and it was validated by Jefferson Capital. Now, Jefferson Capital is suing me in district court, to collect on a fraudulent account opened with my stolen identity, which I have evidence it was stolen based off VCC letters, police report etc. I've asked Jefferson Capital to send me a signed contract ( if e-signed a picture of the signature ), picture ID of the applicant to identify who opened this account ( which could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator ), which would exonerate me of this debt and stop Jefferson Capital 's collection efforts. I request that Jefferson Capital cease all collection actions and delete their tradeline from all credit reporting agencies permanently. Any legal fees or wages lost may be added to my countersuit in court or via arbitration.

Consumer Complaint: After review of my credit report, I found that the XXXX XXXX XXXX had me in collections. First and foremost I never had a Credit Card with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I contacted them they had ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE OF MY HAVING ANY ACCOUNT WITH THEM OF THEIR ASSOCIATE BANKS... So they stated that I should contact Jefferson Capital System, LLc. I did. I sent Jefferson Capital Systems a Debt Validation Letter. I was told by Jefferson Capital System that my account with them was paid years before and that this account long ago should have been removed from my credit file. When I informed them that it was still on my credit report they said they did not understand why, They told me they would send me a letter to verify this. I do not understand why the XXXX XXXX XXXX has me in collections when I have never had a Credit Card with them. And even if they are the bank that issues Credit Cards for another company, then that company should be the one to place me in collections not The XXXX XXXX XXXX
