Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I checked the court website to find out when a certain debt was paid and noticed that a judgment was awarded against me in XX/XX/XXXX without my knowledge. I wasn't served any paperwork in regard to this hearing so I could go and defend myself in front of a judge. The court website said it's Jefferson Capital that is suing me but when I contacted Jefferson Capital on XX/XX/XXXX, they had no knowledge of what I was talking about. I was told to call XXXX XXXX and once again, was told they had no account in my name. So I called XXXX XXXX XXXX where I asked for a copy of the summons for this case and XXXX XXXX told me that he couldn't find the summons and no other paperwork could be found.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX through XXXXXXXX XXXX card services offered me a settlement in the amount of {$890.00} to settle my account in full of the payment was posted by XX/XX/2022. I called prior to the date and on that date again to advise I was posting the payment online. I posted the payment and received confirmation of the payment. Recently I received notification from Jefferson Capital Group saying they were collecting on it and my balance was {$2300.00}. I disputed it saying I had settled in full and sent them the email confirmation of payment I received. They sent me a response saying I didnt not provide proof. Im not sure what more to provide. I did exactly what XXXX asked and paid the amount in full.

Consumer Complaint: Previously filed a complaint with you regarding XXXX XXXX fraud attenmpt to collect {$7600.00} in fraudulent cash transfer claim. Referfernce CFPB # XXXX. I thought you had resolved this attempted action to tap my checking account for over {$7600.00}. XXXX XXXX issue me a new credit card in responds to my filing a complaint with you. I thought this card was cleared of the fraudulent transactions, only to find they flipped all the fraudulent transactions on to this card. they used this cards number to access my XXXX XXXX checking account for a payment in XX/XX/2023. XXXX XXXX took this payment back. They again went into my checking account in XX/XX/2023 using a XXXX " XXXX XXXX number and took out more money, which XXXX XXXX took back. XXXX XXXX advised me to close the checking account I've had for over 20 years as they can not stop XXXX XXXX from using the " XXXX XXXX '' numbers to access my account, as they have thousands of them. XXXX XXXX continued to harass me by posting false claims regarding this issue on every Credit Bureau service. Destroying my credit rating, that before XXXX XXXX attempts at Bank Robbery was over XXXX, and now in in the low XXXX. To add further harassment, they have turned over this fraudulent claim to a collection bureau, Jefferson Capital Systems , LLc, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, MN XXXX. I am XXXX, sick and need your help!!! Please Stop XXXX XXXX NOW! They shouldn't even be allowed in this country! They obviously are breaking the law in attacking my bank account and credit report repeatedly. XXXX XXXX has never received a cash transfer from XXXX XXXX to my checking account. For ANY amount. Not {$5200.00}, Nor {$2400.00}. These amounts were NEVER posted to my XXXX XXXX accounts!!!!!! AS I reported to you previously. Also do something about them ruining my credit. Is this against the law? It should be.

They seemed legitimate when I was speaking to a manager until he provided me with the name XXXX XXXX then when I asked for a letter sent to my physical address with proof of their relation to XXXX XXXX and the debt they quickly ended the call and said they would report that I didnt want to resolve the debt to the official collection agency, XXXX . Im worried I provided my social to a potential scam. When I try to look them up I can find nothing related to their company or a number to call. I called the number back and it rings and then ends. No live person.
