Consumer Complaint: I bought a new phone at XXXX for a cheap price and I didn't know that it was already connected with XXXX XXXX,the employee said nothing to me about what plan i was going to use or anything about the phone she just made a sale to me a bit disinformation and so I went to The XXXX XXXXXXXX store and I tried to get it service to activate the phone and I was told that I was scammed by the XXXX employee and she just works on commission and she didn't care if I was XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX she was trying her best to scam me into buying this phone for a really good price and no strings attached she said to me I was thrilled to get a brand new phone and a good one,so I had to get it connected to a service provider and I ended up at XXXX XXXX store and the employee at XXXX XXXX said yeah you have been scammed by XXXX they do that all the time to all the consumers that are interested in a new phone for a cheap price but a excellent phone it didn't add up to me but I went and bought it anyhow and so the XXXX XXXX store said that it costs like XXXX just to hook it up and then the service fee was like another XXXX and I was belated of hearing what this man had said about the price of the full charge of connecting with XXXX XXXX network it was a nightmare for me because I was broke after purchasing the phone a XXXX XXXX XXXX and with a stylis pen it was a bargain for what the situation at the XXXX XXXX store so I had no idea what to do with the phone cause I had no money in my bank account and nothing else on my debit card it was just about the end of the month so I had told the XXXX XXXX employee that I would be back on the first day of the month cause that's when I get my XXXX check and I planned on getting the phone activated and then I had to pay my car insurance bill and my rent bill and my other payments I had I had paid off before going to XXXX XXXX store and when I got there they said that it was XXXX if I want the phone activated and paid off for A month and again I was beside myself cause I didn't have that kind of money for the phone,so there was nothing else I could do at the time and the price of the phone bill going to the next month was going to get more expensive so I just decided not to get the phone activated and I still have the phone because XXXX scammed me and wouldn't take it back and the employee at XXXX got her commission for scamming a person who had no idea what was to happen to me and I was furious with XXXX and XXXX XXXX store because they all made it hard for me to activate a new phone for a cheap price but a heafty price for a activation fee and a monthly payment fee so I have the phone its in good condition no cracks in the screen and I just used it two times and I connected it to my wi fi and just played games on the phone and it was a nightmare and a mistake on my part I should have been buyers aware that I was scammed by a person who was just interested in a profit and didn't care about the consumers coming in to XXXX for a cheap price and a big price for activation fee and a monthly payment fee all together combined and I couldn't pay for the bill and that's the whole truth about XXXX and scamming people who don't have any idea what their getting themselves in for a little scam and then they send you out to get it connected with XXXX XXXX store and the payments are outrageous for a man who's on a fixed income on SSXXXXI XXXX I want to dispute the transaction with XXXX XXXX cause I don't use the phone and I still have it it's just collecting dust and I don't have any use for it now and when I first day I purchased the phone its all a big nightmare for me and I didn't deserve this whole thing now I can't afford to pay for the bill of a collection agency for the same price for activation fee so what is my best options for someone on XXXX and a monthly fixed income please I need and want some help and not a new collecting agency down on my back and life I am trying to build credit and not damaging my life and credit for one day id like to purchase a used or new phone but at a Dealership in my town and I will never go back to XXXX ever again I'm sorry for everything that has happened to me and my life is now worrying about this whole thing now with XXXX XXXX and I never even had any activation on the phone it was never paid for to a Wireless Provider that I should not have to pay for the bill of collection agency its not fair I was scammed by people who had no curtosy to advice me of my rights for the phone and activation fee all together combined it's XXXXXXXX which is alot and I still cannot afford to pay for the bill and I never even used the phone I can give it back to whomever you have me do so I'm very upset and worried about the whole wrong stealing situation the XXXX employee had no curtosy or right not to advice for me but just to make a sale honest to XXXX truth please don't have any more expensive payments on my life and credit use for it is already in the lower position that I am trying to build credit and not damaging it thank you for what I did nothing wrong but not accepting my fate for the XXXX in decision to be threatened by a scammer who has no business with people and mess them up with bad credit choices and a monthly income on my phone I pay for now I'm not using a Government account for a phone I pay for the phone bill of XXXX and I can't afford the price either so I'm gonna try to talk to them and get a cheaper price for monthly service fee again I'm sorry for everything that you have to get me in trouble for something that I could not handle at the moment and the time to this day and how ever long it's been since I first had the phone in my hands please forgive me and don't damage me and my credit for I'm on a fixed income and I'm on XXXX for XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX has it's toll on my XXXX and I need some help and not a new collecting agency down on my back ive still have XXXX XXXX and all my bills to pay and they add up goodbye and XXXXbless America and have a nice day.

Consumer Complaint: Collections account for {$450.00} reported to credit bureaus on or around XX/XX/2023 by Jefferson Capital Systems LL C I was never contacted by phone, writing or electronically in order to give me my legal right to request a validation letter. On or around same time I called to Jefferson Capital. Who could not provide me with any relavant information. This included no account number dates or any information of attempted contact to allow my a resonpe to the allefged debt. Instead i was provided with a phone number by a recorded message to call to a payment center. Called that number spoke to a rep who only had an amount due of {$450.00} and wanted to know how i would like to pay. I told them i was unaware of any account. They asked for my email. They told me the acc was associated with another email. They agreed to notify Jefferson Cap of this. I also requested a debt validation letter. Never recieved a response. I disputed this through XXXX XXXX to XXXX 3 times. No answers were given, other than to continue to alledge this was a valid debt from XX/XX/2023. The alleged creditor was XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX affirm and was told they had no record of an account from me at any time or around XX/XX/2033. I Jefferson Capital collection has failed to provide any proof, any relavant information, and they have relied on improper methods. Unable to provide me with any requested information i am legally entitlted to receive they remain unfairly stubborn and in intentional and complete disregard of my rights and in intentional violation of the laws governing credit reporting they refuse to remove this from my credit file causing me irreparable harm.
