Consumer Complaint: I've recieved a letter on a debt that was deleted from my credit file awhile ago after disputing with the credit bureaus. Then the account was sold to a collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX back in XXXX. I disputed and was removed from their systems and given back to XXXX. I filed a complaint back in XXXX. Now this new company is doing the same thing. They are trying to re-age the account. This dates back to XXXX. Now I've submitted proof to show it was deleted from the credit bureaus. When I disputed with XXXX XXXX. So I will do the same with this company. Also since they have not provided me with anything other than a letter to collect I want the following mailed to me in it's entirety : Debt proof : Assignment clause Notarized letter of debt purchase Signed contract from original creditor A copy of their license to collect in the state of NJ

Consumer Complaint: I have been attempting to contact Jefferson Capital Systems for the past 2 months. Every time I call, I get an automated phone system. I follow the prompts to talk to a customer service rep, and the system disconnects me. It does not even put me on hold in a queue. I am XXXX working for the XXXX as a XXXX, and I make the effort of staying up late to call during different times, including when they first open for business. They have no business e-mail listed for correspondence. I have attempted to use their automated system to get my account details from them, and the hopes of actually talking with someone, but every time I do their system states " We can not find an account with the information you provided '' which I used my SSN.

Consumer Complaint: I am in the process of purchasing a home and the lender pulled a mortgage report and unannounced to me was a jefferson capital collection collecting for XXXX XXXX. It seems like my entire life i have been having issues with my fathers info reporting on my credit report I called jefferson cap who gave me the number to XXXX XXXX and they dont answer the phone. I then called XXXX who can locate an account of mine but i cant answer any verification questions including address because i never had an account with them i am stuck and dont know if this is id theft or a mistake. I do know it is keeping me from being able to purchase a home and am unsure if its even legal for them to report

Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for a home loan and was denied do to fraudulent activities. I have never applied for XXXX or have used this phone carrier. I have recently tried to dispute this directly with the bureaus and asked for an Itemized bill, they verified as accurate. This is not fair to me because in fact the information is inaccurate. I have been dealing with identity theft since XX/XX/XXXX. My name is very common and all these items on my credit report have affected my life negatively. I am unable to apply for Personal loans, Credit cards, Car loans, Phone services or even a Home loan. I called XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to provide them with a police report number XXXX that I filed with Officer XXXX. I have also had issues with the IRS because of this. Somebody else is using my SSN and/or there's a mistake when these companies are adding them to my report and there not checking for the correct SSN & DOB and just applying it to the first person they come across with my exact name.

Consumer Complaint: I called Jefferson Capital regarding a collection on my credit report. The only option was for me to call another collection agency. I called the other number and spoke to a lady. I asked her about the debt. I wanted proof and verification that this is in fact my debt. She asked me to verify my info and email. She told me that she would send me the info via email. Then she ask me if I could make an arrangement to pay for the debt. The debt is {$9900.00}. She was willing to settle it for $ XXXX and in 30 days remove it from my credit BUT she would need to contact Jefferson Capital to verify if they would allow the settlement. I said ok. She said she would call me back. I NEVER heard from her again. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. I called back the next day and it went to a man 's voicemail. So I called with my sons phone and spoke to another lady. She stated I should definitely hear back from the company on Monday XX/XX/XXXX. I have yet to receive any email nor any call. This is affecting my credit score and it really is unfair that a company is reporting on my report yet allowing a different company to collect the debt. As a consumer I feel afraid I will get scammed out of my money in this instance because I can't be certain that they will keep their word. Especially from this experience so far.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom it May Concern, This letter is a formal compliant that you are reporting and incomplete credit information. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), you are required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract, any and all accounts that you post on a credit report. Otherwise anyone paying for your reporting services could fax, mail or email in a fraudulent account. I demand to see verifiable proof ( I.e. : an original consumer contract with my signature on it ) that you have on file for the account listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit. Under the FCRA, unverifiable accounts must be removed and if you are unable to provide me a copy of verifiable proof.
