Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2020 {$2000.00} reported by collector on their website, logged into my account for them they over payment options and various offers to settle for a lesser amount. while going through the options on the website, i called their customer service to attempt a one time payment for settled amount. customer service rep told me they couldn't settle for that amount and then proceeded to tell me their website had a glitch and now of the offers would settle my debt. and the only amount that would, would be the {$2000.00}. i asked multiple times about the settle for less amounts and payment options on the website and even cited a recent letter from them that offered all the same options. and we told repeatedly that any payment offer i accepted wouldn't cover the amount of {$2000.00} to pay the debt off and anything less would leave me with the debt still unsettled. their website and a few letters all present the company as these are valid offers to settle. this customer service rep contradicted all of those things.

Consumer Complaint: I moved from XXXX to XXXX in XX/XX/2017 I call XXXX and inform about the move on XX/XX/2017 and ask to close my account. The operator ( XXXX ) told me that it will be automatically closed at end of the billing cycle which is in XX/XX/XXXX. The account did not close because there was a XXXX ( hot spot ) that I ordered in XX/XX/XXXX was not return to the system. XXXX did not contact me regarding the system not returned or the account not close. They contact my son which he was not the main holder. i was not aware of the situation until XX/XX/2017. I told them I return the XXXX already and after checking through her system they found the hot spot was in the warehouse but no one enter it to my account. This problem is causes by XXXX careless warehouse worker that did not input my return XXXX back to the system. Therefore I dont believe that I owed this amount to XXXX. i have attached my credit card statements to show that the account was auto paid.

Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for a mortgage loan and was denied due to a recent collection on my account. I pulled my credit report to find a new collection was added from a company called Jefferson Capital System. This debt is showing as opened XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$13000.00}. The original creditor is listed as " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' the loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX was from XXXX and has had no activity on the account for atleast 8 yrs. This debt was illegally reaged and is harming my credit. It has aided in the denial of our home approval. This issue has caused unnecessary stress in this difficult time we are already in.

Consumer Complaint: I had a unsecured loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. It was charged off and sold to Jefferson capital systems llc. We worked out an agreed upon settlement to pay off the debt. I reached out to XXXX to see if we can change the charge off status. They told me they no longer have anything to do with the loan and to reach out to Jefferson capital. Jefferson capital said once they received payment they will notify the credit bureau that the loan has been paid off. So far it still shows as charged off no changes have been made.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft and I recently had my purse stolen with all of my personal information. Jefferson Capitol System placed a debt collection against my credit report. I have no idea who they are and NEVER received any correspondence from them via mail. Because of my identity being stolen in the past and now possibly again with all of my personal information stolen ( XXXX police report made ) I monitor my credit very closely. I called XXXX they provided on website. When I enter my social security # ( hesitantly and it's confirmed Jefferson Capitol System ) they state they do not have a file on their system matching my social security number. Of course they won't because this is being reported fraudulently.This is not my debt. I want this to be investigated. I do not have any debt. All my creditors have been paid off. I disputed this with XXXX and later got a response of " meets FCRA requirements ''. What does that mean? This is not my debt. I want the creditor to provide my wet signature in a contract between me and this Collection Agency. So again, I'm simply asking for you to FOLLOW Fair Debt Collection practices. Show me the written verification of debt and show me my wet signature. I'm not sure if it's JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEMS , LLC or just Jefferson Capitol System~ that's how it's being reported on my credit report.
