Consumer Complaint: Good morning ; I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report this week and I found multiple inaccuracies on my credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus from a collection company that I never have dealt with before ( JEFFERSON CAPITAL SY XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MN XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX Original Creditor Name XXXX XXXX XXXX of {$270.00}? ). I've attempted several times to ratify the issue with the original creditors and credit bureaus and they still reporting inaccurate, unverifiable information. I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6. Please provide a complete account history, including any charges added for collection activity. You have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to provide strict proof of contract. In the event you can not provide strict proof of contract, you must cease and desist any and all collection efforts and immediately remove any derogatory information reported to the consumer reporting agencies. In addition, you will need to provide me your agreement, in writing, that you are closing your file, ceasing collecting activity, and deleting all information related to this reference number from any and all credit reports youve furnished the information to. In the event you transfer this account to an attorney without providing proof of contract, and proving your claim, he/she will be immediate reported to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX for code of ethics violations.

Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capital Systems showed up on my credit report with a past due XXXX XXXX bill of {$950.00} from Maryland in XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted XXXX, proved to them it wasnt me, as i was locked up at that time. I also disputed through 3 credit reporting agencies. Now, Jefferson Capital is saying the bill was from Maryland from XX/XX/XXXX, but I've lived in NC from XXXX. I cant get them to answer me, and my credit rating says they are counting every month now as a late payment.

Consumer Complaint: I have an old account that went to collections for XXXX XXXX. The amount owed was {$1000.00} when it went into collections. When I received a call about this bill in XX/XX/2020, I was told that the bill was {$2100.00} ( which was never the amount owed ). Well because I am trying to increase my credit score I planned to pay all past due bills. The company assigned to the collection was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. As I spoke with the rep, he explained to me that I could not negotiate a settlement or payment plan since they company is not licensed to collect in RI where I live. Please explain to me how this can not be disputed? I have disputed this numerous times but I am getting nowhere. The amount they are charging me is also wrong.

I have requested validation of : Original wet ink original signature contracts, Validation of Georgia license to collect, registered agent info, validation of contract with Jefferson Capital Systems and XXXX XXXX XXXX. No Such validations have been performed. These companies are in violation of my rights as a consumer. Request all collections be deleted and removed from all credit reporting agencies immediately.

Consumer Complaint: THIS COMPANY CAN NOT AND HAS NOT produced me my original bill from the original creditor they purchased my debt from and because of that they must to cease all collection efforts and remove this account from my credit report. REMEMBER I AM REQUESTING VALIDATION, NOT VERIFICATION!! This COMPLAINT is being sent to you in response to notices sent to me from your company and more importantly, due to your erroneous reporting to the Credit Bureau { s }, the highly negative impact on my personal credit report. Please be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 { b } that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. This is NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above named Title and Section. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. Also, during this validation period, if any action is taken which could be considered detrimental to any of my credit reports, I will consult with my legal counsel for suit. This includes listing any information with a credit reporting repository that could be inaccurate or invalidated or verifying an account as accurate, when in fact there is no provided proof that it is accurate. If your company fails to respond to this validation request within 30 days from the date of your receipt, all references to this account must be deleted and completely removed from my credit report and a copy of such deletion { to any/all of the 3 major credit reporting bureaus : XXXX, XXXX and XXXX } request shall be sent to me immediately. I would also like to request, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your company to my home or my place of employment. If your offices attempt telephone communication with me, including but not limited to computer generated calls and calls or correspondence sent to or with any third parties, it will be considered harassment and I will have no choice but to file suit. All future communications with me MUST be done in writing and sent to the address noted in this letter by USPS. It would be advisable that you assure your records are in order before I am forced to take legal action against your company and your client. This is an attempt to correct your records, any information obtained shall be used for that purpose. A response with a bill is NOT evidence of proof that the debt is mine. Anyone can open an account under my name for which a bill is produced, but that doesn't mean it was actually me or that the debt is actually mine. I need real evidence. This evidence consists of a contract from the original creditor or some agreement bearing MY written signature agreeing to pay the debt. XXXX XXXX XXXX was running a promotion that if you switch your cell provider to them they would pay off remaining balance to your current cellphone provider on all the lines. They sent me the agreed gift card in the mail for switching service to them, but never paid off XXXX outstanding amount. Now it is in collection and being reported as {$300.00} that I owe. They have transferred to XXXX XXXX and to Jefferson Capital systems LLC. They are breaking FACRA and falsely reporting that I owe it and that It is a new debt incurred In XXXX of 2020. I changed carriers and this all took place over 4 years ago. XXXX XXXX XXXX needs to pay XXXX and they need to remove this off of my credit. I only switched to XXXX XXXX XXXX for the promotion that they paid off XXXX and did not due so. I did not go into the mall that day with intentions to switch and then was convinced and lied to and now is ruining my credit.
