Consumer Complaint: I have sent multiple validation requests including statements stating that the only accepted correspondence is email or via Mail to Jefferson Capital. Instead they have refused to validate the debt and they have begun to call a number from over 13 years ago that belongs to my XXXX XXXX XXXX grandma. They are calling her multiple times a day and leaving messages. They are not identifying themselves and I have not lived there in over 13 years. The fact that they are ignoring my requests and are now harassing a XXXX XXXX XXXX woman is disgusting. In addition, due to not being able to validate the debt and reporting incorrect information across all three bureaus is grounds from removal from my credit report. I collect protected veteran XXXX benefits and this company is infringing on my rights.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I was reviewing my credit report and to my surprise I noticed Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC reporting a charge- off account on my credit file in the amount of {$2500.00}. So, I wrote the debt collector Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC a letter asking this company to validate the debt they are saying I owe their company on my behalf. The collector failed to validate the debt under 15 U.S. Code 1692 ( g ) Section 809 ( b ). The collector failed to provide a valid basis for the debt, such as the original contract/agreement, promissory note between Consumer and original creditor, bearing Consumer wet-ink signature. The Collector failed to provide me a verified ( sworn to by Affidavit ) copy of the contract your firm has with the original creditor authorizing your firm to engage in collection activities on their behalf against the above -alleged account. The Collector failed to provide an affidavit signed under XXXX XXXX XXXX that Collector or any agent ( XXXX ) acting on their behalf has not violated any portion of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. Jefferson Capital Systems has been harassing me, committing mail fraud and identity theft for using my identifying information on behalf of this alleged debt.

Consumer Complaint: Charge from XXXX is early cancel fee. In 2016 XXXX was to send me a phone next day - no record and follow up call when phone received advised I would be out of phone for several days possibly a week. They were unable to allow me to acquire the same phone from a store. I had just recently been laid off and a phone was a necessity as I did not and do not now have a land line phone. I ported the number to XXXX XXXX XXXX the next day - Saturday, I believe. I attempted to resolve the issue on multiple occasions with XXXX to no end. They would not own up that it was their own actions that resulted in my departure. Jefferson Capital is attempting to collect on a debt accrued in IL in 2016. The statute of limitations is 5 years. I have attempted to ask they remove the collection from my credit report directly and via XXXX ( only agency reporting the debt ) without success. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: This company has done nothing but harass me over a debt with XXXX they believe I owe. I got a new XXXX, had the plan for a month and got the shut off email ( which I still have and will attach- notice the year, its XXXX ). One month of service with XXXX just wasnt affordable for me and I closed the account. I got countless intimidating letters from attorneys threatening to sue me. Ive been dealing with this company textbook harassing me but now this, its just the straw that broke the camels back. They put actual lies on my credit report, under MY name. All of a sudden the account is open? HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO CLOSE IT. Not to mention its a completely different year as well. I have disputed this collection on my credit report so many times and I know Im not being treated fairly- nothing is being done. I refuse to sit here and let this bully of a company put literal lies about me. Also shame on XXXX and XXXX, who couldnt investigate this effectively the first time. The bottom line is they turned my service off a month after I got the plan and continued to charge me month after month for service I was not receiving.
