Consumer Complaint: In 2014 XXXX cell phones were sent to me, that I had not requested from XXXX. They did not allow mw to return these XXXX phones and wanted payment, which I said was not going to happen. They started a collection process in 2014, and I never paid a single thing to them on this account, and it was a constant harassment process from the collection agency, Jefferson Capital. Recently they fraudulently started another attempt to collect a debt from me on this old account which has been eight years from the first attempt, trying to make it appear as a new collection when in fact its more than eight years old. I have correspondence from those old collection efforts and I never paid a thing, because I never requested the phones in the first place. I still have the unused phones and XXXX willing to return them, but have no idea how to do so. Let me be clear the phones were never activated or turned on, they are still in the original boxes. Trying to regurgitate an old account as new should be criminal. I want this removed from my credit report, please help me get this accomplished.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I requested copies of my consumer reports from XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, and as I was analyzing the reports I noticed that there was a collections account from : Account # : XXXX Debt Collector : Jefferson Capital Systems XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX MN XXXX stating that I owe them an alleged debt that I have no knowledge or recollection of owing them. I was never contacted about the alleged debt, nor was notified of my right to dispute. They opened the account on XX/XX/XXXX according to XXXX, but they never notified me of my consumer rights under the FDCPA. They then reported it on XX/XX/XXXX again without notifying me or communicating through mail, email, or in person. To my understanding, after XX/XX/XXXX debt collectors are suppose to let the consumer know that they have a debt, and record any proof of non delivery to the consumer. In my case this was never done. I never had the proper opportunity to dispute the debt they say I owe. This is the reason I did not contact the company. They've violated my consumer rights under the FDCPA. So I am filing a complaint with the CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX my account with XXXX XXXX was officially closed. After reporting fraud MULTIPLE times and giving them all the money I physically could I was happy to see the account finally close. Then, XX/XX/2020 I receive a notification from XXXX XXXX {$2000.00} due to Jefferson Capital Systems. I was on XXXX during the time of the notification so I tried to dispute the collection. All I received is that this account falls under FCRA requirements. During this XXXX I tried complaining to XXXX through the XXXX and they replied that after they " investigated '' my account is was reported not fraud and that my account is now in the hands of Jefferson. I was finally able to save up the money to pay off this debt, but, after intense research I find out Jefferson Capital Systems is not accredited through the BBB, but on their website it says they are?!? And every review on this company is the same, all closed/ disputed XXXX XXXX accounts! I never received a letter, email, phone call or anything from Jefferson Capital Systems stating this debt is due. I can only see it on my credit reports.

Jefferson Capital Systems recently reported to the bureaus that I owe a {$7700.00} debt. -XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX- XXXX has not yet hit my report. Under the information for Jefferson Capital Systems, they are identifying themselves under business type : Finance - Mortgage companies/ Credit Unions / Investments. I have never done any business with this company nor heard of them. I have never given them my personal information or the consent for them to use my information. Due to their actions, my credit score has been negatively impacted. Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, I contacted Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC. to get a debt validation prior to proceeding with their allegation I owe a debt especially since I've never done business with this company. This was sent XX/XX/XXXX and they received XX/XX/XXXX confirmed through Certified Mail. In my debt validation request in which I have the right to request under 15 usc 1692g, I asked Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC. to provide validation through : * The amount of the alleged debt * The name of the original creditor to whom the debt is owed * The name and address of the original creditor which differs from XXXX XXXX XXXX * The agreement between Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC and XXXX XXXX XXXX granting Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC. the alleged right to collect on XXXX XXXX XXXX behalf * A statement that if I notified Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC in writing within 30 days that the alleged debt is disputed, Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC must give me the verification of the alleged debt and a judgement against me the consumer * Any insurance claim submitted by any creditor regarding the account in question. I stated if any of the information requested isn't received or provided and an invalidated debt is still being reported to consumer reporting agencies, I will have to exercise my rights under 15 usc 1692k which includes for me filing this complaint through the CFPB. In response to this call to action on XX/XX/XXXX I was sent misleading and offensive information stating " they can't sue me due to law limits of time when they can sue on the debt. '' They state " if I dont pay the debt, they may or continue to report to credit reporting agencies as unpaid as long as the law permits this reporting. '' They also included 1 false and misleading representation of what they call a " verification '' of the alleged debt which is nothing but a statement from XXXX XXXX XXXX being sent to MS XXXX XXXX XXXX dated back to XX/XX/XXXX reporting on the alleged debt. This is not a validation of the alleged debt as I requested. This statement doesn't address any of my validation requests and is intended to mislead me on information regarding the alleged debt. This isn't right and I will like to continue to take action against Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC. pursuant to 15 usc 1692d. Thank you for helping me to bring remedy to this unfortunate circumstance.

I had these accounts removed a year ago due to Fraud but it is now back on my credit report! I have never had any accounts with this company I do not know what this is for! I already called this company a year ago and advised them that this is FRAUD! It was removed but now they are reporting it again! THIS IS FRAUD I DONT USE CREDIT CARDS! My Credit is perfect NO LATES OR DELINQUENCY EVER! Please remove from my Credit Report! Thanks!

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, my information was compromised by XXXX doing their data breach. I began the process of looking for a home and to my surprise, my information was used to open multiple credit cards on the same day! I've tried over and over again to have these items removed and to have the companies to stop reporting the inaccurate information on my credit. Ive called XXXX since XXXX to have them rectify the issue and received nothing but credit monitoring. They have not taken ownership for anything that has happened to me. Fast forward to XXXX, I'm still having issues. I couldn't buy a house and I can't even get an apartment in my name because they say I have ongoing debt. This is truly unfair. I'm on the verge of breaking out in tears!
