Consumer Complaint: Loan was taken out in my name as a result of identity theft. Debt collector sent certified letter and XXXX delivered it to wrong address and I did not sign for it. I was not made aware of attempt to collect until after garnishment of wages began. Debt collector was called as is not helpful. Tells me I need to contact lawyer and transfers me to phone number where I leave a message and no one calls back.

Consumer Complaint: There are several violations here : 1. XXXX XXXX charged me for services that were not delivered. My cell phone rarely worked at my home and dropped calls often when traveling for 9 months I had service with them. They never improved the service or reduced the bill. 2. XXXX agreed to cancel the remaining unpaid month of service, {$120.00}, if I paid off the phones I purchased from them for {$1200.00}. I paid for the phones, but they continued to try and collect for the bad service, finally turning it over to a collection agency. They refused any further effort I made to dispute the bill. 3. Jefferson, the debt collection agency, increased a {$120.00} disputed bill to {$620.00}. They refused to cancel the bill or decrease the amount back to {$120.00}, the original XXXX XXXX bill. XXXX. The three credit agencies did not contact XXXX about the original bill after I disputed the bill. Instead, the only contacted Jefferson, who continued to validate the bill. The agencies also did not require Jefferson to reduce the disputed bill back to {$120.00}, but continued to keep the disputed amount at {$620.00}, even though I told them the amount should be reduced, at a minimum. Facts : 1. Cell phone debt has a federal statute of limitations of two years. After the statute of limitations has expired on a debt, it is considered time-barred. 2. I advised the 3 credit agencies of this fact, but they refused to delete the bill from their files. Jefferson Capital System also refuses to stop reporting this bill to the credit agencies as a debt.

Consumer Complaint: The credit bureaus refused to provide you their MOV ( Method of Verification ) for ( JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEMS ) listed on my credit report according to FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ) which states : if requested by the consumer, a description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information shall be provided to the consumer by the agency, including the business name and address of any furnisher of the information contacted in connection with such information, and the telephone number of such furnisher, if reasonably available. FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 7 ), which is used for such a request, states : A consumer reporting agency shall provide to a consumer a description referred to in paragraph ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ) by not later than 15 days after receiving a request from the consumer for that description. They have deleted it off my XXXX Report but wont delete off XXXX, or XXXX. They haven't provided any information at all showing the debt belongs to me no Contractual agreements or my wet signature showing me responsible for the debt or this account XXXX EVEN OFFERED ME CELL PHONE SERVICE IN XX/XX/2022. IF I OWED THEM MONEY WHY WOULD I BE ELIGIBLE.

Consumer Complaint: I haven't opened up any XXXX account in XX/XX/2021 this is fraud on my credit report. It shows that I owe an odd number of {$800.00} for the XXXX XXXX account which is incorrect. It has been deleted several times but always seems to come back. I have contacted the company Jefferson Capital System and they stated that the dates were changed for whatever reason. This is a living HORROR with this company. I need this deleted immediately. They have been reporting this misleading information for at least 10 years or more now through different companies. Please update this information for XXXX as well. Thanks for your prompt attention to this important matter.
