Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX called Citibank. After receiving no help, asked for a supervisor. She said that I should have funded this savings account. I explained that some time ago, the agent on the telephone instructed me to transfer {$25.00} from our checking account to keep the account activated. I did this but this supervisor said it had to funded from a debit card. This supervisor instructed me to write a letter to Citibank asking to reactivate the account so that I can transfer funds out and close it. Mailed the letter with all of the requested information on XX/XX/XXXX. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX I do not have my money. I can not transfer the money out as it remains deactivated. I did not receive anything in the mail from Citibank. Online it did state that they received my letter but are investigating. They have held my money XXXX for almost a month!

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : I am XXXX XXXX, a Citi Premier card holder. On XX/XX/XXXX, a fraudulent charge appeared on my credit card account ending in XXXX, appearing as " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA XXXX with an amount of {$210.00}. I called both the general customer service and the fraud department immediately, XXXX phone calls. Both people confirmed with me that my account has been blocked. However because my account is brand new they can not verify my information online so they would mail me a letter and I can only dispute the charge after I receive the letter and follow the instructions written on it. The next day I went to a XXXX and called the fraud department from there. I was told that my accounthas been blocked so I could rest assured for now. However, today when I checked my online banking I saw a new fraudulent chargeAPPEAR on my account. It was on XX/XX/XXXX, after I made the first XXXX phone calls and was told that my card was blocked already, in the name " XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX CA '' with an amount of {$110.00}. I immediately made a phone call to the dispute center and the person who picked up the phone only told me to wait and refused to offer me any further information. I don't know how the scammer could still use my card when it has been blocked. Has it really been blocked? I feel disrespectful and very very anxious. A proper explanation is badly needed. Consumer Complaint: My credit report shows that I owe Citibank {$700.00} and they closed the account. When i called customer service, several times, the representatives each said that I did not have nor have had and account and that I am not shown on any account. I was told that I should file a complaint with the credit bureaus involved. I filed complaints with XXXX bureaus and each determined that I had an unpaid balance of {$700.00} and the account was written off and closed. I had cosigned with my daughter-in-law for a card many years ago. She had removed my name and gotten a new card. My name is not on any card that is delinquent and closed. I have no idea were the company is finding my name associated with a card. My credit score took over a XXXX point dive due to this. I always pay my bills on time. Associates with Citibank have no idea why my name is on a card when there is no record of it. I don't even know the card or account number. I don't own it.

Consumer Complaint: I open my account on XX/XX/XXXX with cash bonus Citi offered. ( EARN {$1000.00} MINIMUM DEPOSIT : {$75000.00}, attached ). I deposited the {$75000.00} through my joint brokerage account in earlier XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, I got notified my citi checking account will be cancelled without any reason. After calling the number provided within the letter. The customer representative shared the account will be closed within 30 days instead of the 60 days in the letter, and all my money within the checking will be send back to me as a check. However, until now XX/XX/XXXX ( after 60 days ), I still didn't receive any letter about my account, I still didn't receive any check for my own money!!! Now I can not access my accounts and my own money for more than 60 days. I am unable to afford the mortgage because the money money was swallowed by this bank!!!

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX of XXXX CITI bank decided to close my account, after almost 2 months CITI returned via a check the remaining balance on the account which was XXXX However there was a missing sum from the check we got from CITI, in the amount of XXXX which was a direct deposit from one of our customers XXXX XXXX. It was deposited in our account on XXXX XX/XX/2021. This customer XXXX XXXX booked a nonrefundable airline ticket with us. He has been informed about this fact. The ticket got eventually canceled and the passenger was offered full credit for future travel which he was eligible to use up to 2 years. According to our Terms & Conditions he was not entitled for a refund, therefore the airline could not grant him one. I do believe this person complaint to CITI, and CITI for some reasons without contacting me first to find out what is the reasons for complaint, and to offer us the possibility to explain ourselves and provide proof of purchase decided to take this money out of our account and return to the complaining customer. This is totally unacceptable. I demand the money in the amount of XXXX to be immediately returned to us. Please find copy of the deposit, copy of our Terms & Conditions and the completed form by the customer XXXX XXXX where it is clearly marked he agrees to pay our company for the airline ticket. If there is more information needed please let us know.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I tried to purchase some souvenir in XXXX from XXXX XXXX ( the vendor ). After swiping my card and taking my signature, the vendor demanded copy of my passport and my social security number before he would hand over the souvenir to me. This appeared a scam and I refused to share this information. I walked out and the vendor did not give me any product. When I saw the charges on my credit card, I disputed it with Citibank, clearly telling Citibank that I did not get any product from this vendor. In their response to my dispute, the vendor admitted that they did not give me any products. This was an attempt to extort money from me in a foreign country and despite of knowing all the facts : - Vendor asked for illegal information ( copy of passport and social security ) - I did not receive any products from vendor Citibank is asking me to pay for this charge. Citibank 's fraud department told me that Citibank customer service should simply waive this charge as I never received any goods or services. The card used for this transaction has expired since then and Citibank has issued me a new card with a different number that I have provided as part of this complaint.
