Then a XXXX time someone said no your account is on hold till further notice. Which is was weird because there was issues with my account as far as unrecognized charges But I had resolved those issues & was assured can still use my account with no issues. Then I called again around XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to find out no one can tell me when my account 's hold will be removed or why it was there to begin with. They said had to Go To my Local Branch since it was a Back Office issue & they couldn't transfer me. I went to my local Branch they said it was due to fraud or the disputes I had made for unrecognized transactions, But I told the Banker That I had already resolved them and I was told that my account would still work fine but it's not. He then called I believe to be a HR person from Fraud & Security who said the account will be going through Closure and I could get a check in person at the Branch within 2 days I come back XXXX days later He calls the lady telling her Im back and Would like to withdraw all money that was in my account She then says I can't it will be mailed in XXXX business days. Consumer Complaint: Citibank closed my savings account without my permission after falsely detecting a fraudulent transaction when it was a legitimate transfer from my XXXX brokerage account. Since XX/XX/2022, I have been locked out from accessing over {$75000.00} in my savings account and have no correspondence on why I still have not received my funds. I have called the Citibank over XXXX times and have visited the XXXX branch in XXXX XXXX multiple times. They keep mentioning that I will get a correspondence in 48 hours or mail within 10 business days but I have still not received my funds. Each time I try to ask for escalation given this ordeal has been over 7 months, they say there is nothing else they can do and out of their control.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I submitted a claim with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( Complaint ID : XXXX ). We received notification on XX/XX/XXXX that the claim was denied because the complaint lists someone the company does not recognize as their customer or their customers authorized representative. My husband, XXXX XXXX submitted the claim on my behalf, submitted the claim, which is probably why we received this message. I am now resubmitting this claim under my own name. We look forward to a prompt resolution of this matter. XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ Phone XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I used my Citicard Mastercard on a trip to XXXX in XXXX, where we purchased a marble chess set and necklace from a store called XXXX XXXX XXXX for an agreed price of {$850.00} USD. At the time of purchase, the store ran my credit card through its card reader but then said the card reader wasn't working and nothing printed out. The store then ran my card through a different credit card reader, at which time the sale went through. When I checked my statement the next day, I discovered that I had been charged twice for the same item ( {$850.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ; and {$840.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). These two charges were purchased in the SAME store and for just ONE bill of sale -- the marble chess set and necklace. We immediately sent an email to the store asking them to remove one of the two charges, but they never responded. I filed a Citibank Billing Dispute on XX/XX/XXXX ( Case # XXXX ). I also spoke several times with their billing dispute team filled out their application form and provided additional documentation each time it was requested. ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ) both by regular mail ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ; Case # XXXX ), by email, as well as numerous follow-up phone calls. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a vaguely worded notice from Citibank that they are denying our claim. We were given no reason other than " we have no options available to assist you in this dispute because of the age of the charge. '' As far as we know, Citibank never even contacted the store from where the purchase was made in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: This is a follow up complaint to the previous complaint, XXXX. Attached is the solid evidence proving that Citi owes me {$700.00} bonus that was due on XX/XX/XXXX : 1 ) the letter from Citi XXXX to my wife, dated XX/XX/XXXX, acknowledging the eligibility of {$700.00} bonus for her account. I opened the same type of account, on the same day ( XX/XX/XXXX ), with the same Personal Banker ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, with the same bonus terms and conditions. In regards to the previous account that their XX/XX/XXXX denial letter mentioned ( account number ending in XXXX that I closed on XX/XX/XXXX ), my wife and I, again, separately opened the same type of account, on the same day ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and closed them on the same day ( XX/XX/XXXX ), so they paid my wife but won't pay me, 2 ) four records of new funds I deposited and transferred to Citi, {$10000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, {$5000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, {$5000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, and {$5000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. To avoid further delay, on XX/XX/XXXX, I went to Citi XXXX XXXX branch in XXXX XXXX Nevada and submitted another W-9. What my wife and I noticed through fighting for three unpaid bonuses is the Citi 's repeated pattern of dishonest, deceptive, bait-and-switch, and unfair business practice with their bonus promotions. The bonus denial letter I received on XX/XX/XXXX is the same template my wife received in XX/XX/XXXX. Their dishonest, deceptive, and unfair business practice follows the same pattern : a ) the branch offers a bonus, b ) Citi doesn't pay the bonus as agreed, c ) customer complains, d ) Executive Response Unit sends out a template letter with a fine print terms and conditions ( the same the branch 's Personal Banker follows to check for bonus eligibility ), e ) Citi requires the customers to keep the minimum of {$5000.00} daily account balance to avoid monthly maintenance fees, and f ) requires the account to be open to receive the bonus. Additionally, the ERU did not respond to me within the XXXX calendar days they mentioned in their email after I sent them a rebuttal email. So far, our experience shows that they keep our funds for additional 60 days on top of required timeline for the bonus. During that time, Citi deprived us of interest we can earn elsewhere and refuses to compensate. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and heavily rely on the interest and bonuses to supplement my social security income. This dishonest, deceptive, bait-and-switch, and unfair business practice must be investigated to protect the consumers.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX is when my credit card with Citibank was closed by the system due to having returned payments, but the bank has not consulted me and their algorithms determined that it was worthy to close my credit card completely without an evaluation on what is going on with me financially at the time. I made several small payments towards the card but underestimated my finances at the time to cover those small payments. Believe the total was XXXX dollars. I believe that it is a petty reason to close my credit card without allowing me to pay for those fees along with the monthly payment and just to conclude their service for me. They closed the card based on returned payments, and I have been their customer since XXXX.
