Consumer Complaint: I have a prepaid XXXX with Capital One to try to rebuild my credit. Ive paid every bill on time I have not been late once and Ive paid multiple payments throughout the month each month. I made an online check payment XX/XX/2023 to find out on XX/XX/XXXX that they were holding funds and they would not be available until XXXX XXXX 2023. They credited the balance on the card but did not give me funds available so theyre holding {$190.00} plus {$100.00} deposit. I do not understand why theyre taking my money from me for so long. XXXX, putting people in a financial bind, just refuse acceptance of their payment, so you do not put them in a bind. Im having to do without buying XXXX presents for certain relatives to accommodate this. I have not done anything wrong thats why I dont understand why theyre keeping it for so long. One representative with their company told me they were doing it to make sure that the check cleared. That was a XXXX answer because with todays technology it surely does not take 2 1/2 weeks to make sure the check cleared. Actually, they clear instantly they run it through and you back your receipt. the bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX said the check cleared that day XXXX XXXX, so thats been cleared. What she told me wasnt true I dont know if she knows how to do her job or not but she had the wrong answer for this. Then I called and talked to a supervisor, and she kinda got frustrated with me on the phone. no profanity or anything but kind of mean. So, theyre holding {$190.00} of my money and {$100.00} deposit and Ive not received anything to tell me they were doing this, they just did it - neither a phone call nor a letter explaining why theyre holding it. At least send a letter or make a phone call to me telling them why youre holding their money from them. I went to the gas pump and got declined and the money was already out of my XXXX XXXX account for the payment so I didnt have extra money to buy gas and then the money is not available on the card either because theyre holding it. Im not sure they dont hold money so they make interest on huge amounts of money overtime. Ive never believe that myth but Im starting to. Just credit my account available balance or give me my money back so I can have XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Mean

Consumer Complaint: After reviewing my consumer report I found a series of accounts that were opened and being used without my knowledge, consent or authorization. This capital one account is inaccurately reporting I owe a XXXX balance on a closed account. This is not my account delete immediately. I tried contacting the furnisher Capital One directly via telephone and by mail formally requesting the information be removed but nothing has changed. Again this is not my account, but despite communicating this to none effect nothing has changed nor have I received any notice that assures this false inaccurate information shall be removed immediately. I have filed a dispute with the FTC and also I have sent the affidavit.

Consumer Complaint: I've opted out when I opened my card and they ignored my letter after I sent it in countless times. They've violated 15 USC 6802 and the privacy act of 1974. The charge off is sitting on my credit report. I've tried contacting the credit bureaus to remove it but they don't believe me despite citing the USCs and UCC. I can not buy a car due these things being on my credit report. I can't apply for business loans for my business.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, I recently received a copy of my credit report and found that you are illegally reporting inaccurate, noncompliant, and false information about me. The following alleged account is listed as a collection and charge off with a PAST DUE BALANCE of {$10000.00} This is a violation of the FCRA and is in violation of requisite METRO 2 Compliant reporting standards. As well as is in violation of 15 U.S Code 1681eb. The reporting party did not provide/send me a 1099c in regards to them claiming the debt to the IRS. The reporting company has reported to the IRS as well as on my consumer report they charged off the account. This is in violation as they have already claimed and received the remaining balance from the IRS. By the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and per the standards of reporting compliance implemented with the CRSA enacted CDIA Metro 2 COMPLIANCE regulations, I have the right to a fair and accurate credit report, and you are required to remove any information that is not true, accurate, compliant, and verifiable. I did not provide my written permission or instruct for the identified items to be reported on my consumer credit report. I am requesting that the reporting of this information be deleted and blocked from my consumer report. My request to block all identified accounts listed below is not being made in error ; nor is my request to block being made on the basis of material misrepresentation of fact by me relevant to the request to block the identified transactions. Consumer Complaint: I have had multiple hard inquiries on my credit from capital one, where I have never done business. I had made an earlier dispute about this same issue but I guess it didnt do anything because capital one is still hard inquiring my credit for no reason whatsoever. Also Im now getting multiple false hard inquiries from XXXX even though I havent had a credit card with them, or applied for any credit ever with them. I just recently last month ( XX/XX/XXXX ) got an XXXX XXXX credit card which is issued by XXXX so I would expect one hard inquiry but I have one dated back in XXXX and another one from the XXXX of this year, both of which are completely bogus. I have also noticed soft inquires from capitol one, EVEN THOUGH I DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I dont understand how theyre still able to hard inquire my credit after the last dispute I had filed this is ridiculous. I believe someone has to be using my personal information for this to be happening. I have also filed multiple disputes with XXXX for never before seen phone numbers and addresses added to my credit report which is very worrisome for me. I am going to file a police report about this also and see if I might need legal help. I contacted XXXX yesterday and put a fraud alert on my credit and removed the fraudulent credit inquiries. I want to make sure its removed with all three of the credit bureaus, and that this doesnt keep happening. I am attaching a photo my my XXXX dispute results which shows the multiple hard inquiries and personal phone number that I had never seen or authorized.

Total {$1600.00} Was told that it was under investigation for " fraud '' and would take 90 days for the investigation. Called XX/XX/XXXX ( 90 days ) to request status of the refund and was told " 7-10 business days '' to release the money. Called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told, again, " 7-10 business days to close the account and release the funds ''. Capital One Bank has been holding MY money for over 5 months.
