Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and asked to close out XXXX XXXX accounts. Made sure of the address that the checks were to be mailed to. Told the checks would be mailed XX/XX/XXXX. Called them XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. To this date the only letter or email I have received from them says the accounts were closed, on XX/XX/XXXX, that is all. No letters or emails about where the funds where sent to, or if they have been cashed, or what the amounts the checks where made out for, or what names the funds where made out to, or what address the funds where mailed to, nothing in writing from Capital One.

Consumer Complaint: TO : Capital One Re : XXXX cases with the XXXX last numbers below : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX We disputed the following payments on the above cases ( last XXXX digits ) since we hired them one year ago since we were planning to start an online business and they told us that we have to file taxes with all the states in usa and they would do it for us for {$200.00} a month. Unfortunately, we never started the business, and they kept charging and I was under the impression that they are reporting our XXXX sales monthly to all the states. XXXX weeks ago, I decided to stop this expense and I asked for a cancellation. After cancelation, I asked them to please cancel all the states tax numbers nationwide. They gave me a {$400.00} price which I decided I can do by my own but when I started calling the list they provided, I found out that they had only applied with a selected few, like XXXX states and thats why I decided to dispute these charges. I called many of the states and I managed to close the accounts but when I called the Mass state they told me the taxes were not even filed and I had to first complete those taxes even though XXXX and then close them. I tried online but even the login they gave me did not work. They misrepresented their services by giving us the impression that they will need to apply for all states but only did for a few and never informed us. Also, I have no idea if these people ever file the taxes for all the other states that I managed to cancel on the phone and did not check the reporting status of those states which may be another upcoming tax problem which we never wanted. Consumer Complaint: forgot to attached my payment history for Capital One XXXX since Capital One stated they can't obtain my payment history I have provide it to them and as of today what my account looks like. I requested a credit limit on XX/XX/2023, XX/XX/2023, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX each time I requested a credit limit, I received the respond back in the same day or next day. I also typed and mailed a letter to Capital One on XX/XX/2023 no respond. The reason is alway the same. I have called and asked what are they evaluating and was told that he was not credit specialist. He also told me that it's other factor that determine the decision, however the reasons stated were the same in each letter. They stated that they are unable to obtain my most recent payment data. Last time I checked Capital One was on my bank statement so forgive me for being a bit confused because the XXXX I pay stated that they are unable to obtain activity. I have attached each letter and my payment history from XXXX to current. The month alone I have paid {$780.00}. Capital One this is discrimination. Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX I was mailed a letter from capital one bank and it had a credit card issued with my name and had an account number of a card I never applied for. I have never used capital one bank previously or have ever applied to this account, I have no idea how someone could use my information to start up this account. I called capital one fraud number and explained the situation that it was not me who applied and that it is fraud and they were able to close the account and said that a follow up letter will be delivered in 60 to 90 business days.

Consumer Complaint: I opened up a credit card with Capitol One Savor Code XX/XX/XXXX. They advertised a {$200.00} sign up bonus if you spend over {$500.00} in the first 3 months. I called them XX/XX/XXXX and was told that the {$200.00} would automatically be applied to my first statement. That was a lie. I called XX/XX/XXXX and the robot said my payments were not due until the XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX. I then spoke to XXXX she refused to give me her employee ID. I told her the app would not let me set up automatic payments for a different date an earlier date of what she said the due date was of the XXXX. She refused to give me her employee ID. She said she could help me set up the automatic payment for a different date, that was a lie. I then called back and spoke to XXXX ID XXXX who transferred me to supervisor XXXX ID XXXX who said Capitol One does not allow people to set up auto payments for any day but the day it is due. She also told me that the rewards will not be applied until after 3 months and I have to call and do that in XXXX of XXXX. This is not what I was told before I made a purchase of over {$500.00}. I asked XXXX for the employee ID of the two people who gave me the wrong info and she refused. I told her that I was going to file a federal complaint and she told me I could not get any further information without a subpeona. I believe their system is set up for consumers to be late on payments by not giving them a choice of paying earlier with auto pay and by the robot giving out a due date that is 3 days past the due date and would cause penalties and breach of contract. I tried to update my cell phone on your website and it wont let me. My new number is ( XXXX ) XXXX and I have proof of all the calls with that number.
