Consumer Complaint: I submitted a complaint to the occ it had been said by XXXX XXXX XXXX now XXXX XXXX that a faculty member tried to open a credit card with cap one using my information years later I wasn't immediately notified and the police wasn't called to my knowledge I was given a letter by a department store card Neiman Marcus that a payment had been made however cap one was deceptive to the cfpb by not indicating what the limit was ( credit limit ) and how much charged off {$30.00} said by an in law over and over again the account had been paid in full and reported to the credit bureaus all three as a charge off and bankruptcy I forgot I went to the store to pay the bill in cash {$360.00} and the credit department said it had been paid. I truedcto get a sba Loan by a lady named XXXX before covid and cap oneblockedcthat loan I llc say blessing however cap one is retaliatory and XXXX XXXX XXXX loans brought back up why? Please note numerous complaints. I receive letters someone other than myself riling complaints who? And who is this person filing compkaintscwlusing my name.

Consumer Complaint: During the period where they had issues with being able to make payments I decided I wont do business with them. I had a remaining balance of {$54.00} I paid this and locked the card thinkin that would be the last time I would have to be bother with them. In XXXX I noticed a balance of {$6.00} thinking maybe I forgot to pay it I paid this. I cancelled the card in XXXX the current balance is now {$36.00}. I called to try and have these fees waived they offer XXXX which doesnt make sense given I made XXXX payments where I thought the balance was paid only to be charged fees 2 days later.

Consumer Complaint: this is my response to your frivolous and deceptive response through CFPB portal. even though you have completely ignored my original letter stating you're in violation for reporting a account based of payment transactions for medical products or services under 15 USC 1681a ( 3 ), in your response you have committed multiple violations under the XXXX you have used a logo/symbol which indicates that you are in the debt collection business which is a violation of law under 15 USC XXXX ( 5 ) which is infringement of my right to privacy. you have also presented a false and misleading representation as you have only stated that the communication was from a debt collector but not the remaining part of 15 USC XXXX ( 11 ) which requires you to state that you are attempting to collect a debt and any information will be used for that purpose in each SUBSEQUENT communication. I am also aware on my consumer report you are reporting as my creditor in regard to this account but according to the definition of a creditor pursuant 15 USC XXXX ( 4 ) any person to the extent that receives an assignment or transfer of a debt in default solely for the purpose of facilitating collection of such debt for another is NOT a creditor. making you in violation for furnishing a deceptive form under 15 USC XXXX. You are a third-party collection company and lawfully can not validate any of my debts therefore you are reporting a invalidated account on my consumer report & have not provided proper documents to validate this debt under 15 USC XXXX XXXX therefore you are not only using unfair and deceptive practices under the XXXX which i have proof of and am including in this complaint. you are also reporting a debt which is invalidated. Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Capital One XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX IL XXXX Card # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX A recap of what has happened on this account : I opened the account XX/XX/XXXX, and had made all payments timely. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from your fraud department and was asked to verify recent transactions. I did so and the Rep stated all was OK. When I attempted to use the card again it was declined. I called customer service and the call went to your fraud department. Again I was asked to verify recent transactions. All was fine the Rep said. I attempted to use the card - again was declined. I called in and the call was answered by fraud dept. Said he wanted a copy of my drivers license- I refused- told them I was elderly and had been adised by multiple sources never to release my drivers license. Asked if there was any other method- he said no. I asked what the fraud consisted of- said he couldnt tell me- asked if there was an investigation- he didnt know- asked if I could just get a new card- he said not without providing my license. The card was RESTRICTED at that point. I had an interest free balance due in late XXXX or early XXXX. Since I really didnt need the card, I just decided to make monthly payments when they came due and pay the balance due at the end, which I did. After final payment I received a statement showing {$120.00} in interest due. I called your Customer Service number ( XXXX ) on the card but it was answered by the Fraud Dept. I explained that I ddnt owe the {$120.00} but he said nothing he could do. I asked to be connected to Customer Service- said he could not do that. I realized that my phone number and card account number were programmed to go to Fraud instead of the Customer Dept., so I called using my other phone and gave no account or SS number- I stayed on until it was answered by a nice lady with a foreign accent- she said she had no access to my account details with the the exception she could see the balance. Again my attempt to discuus my account with your Customer Service Dept failed. As you see I was unable to discuss my account as to payment due or lack of notice on my interest free balance due date. Although Capital One has my e-mail, phone number and home address on record, you made no attempt to get in touch to discuss and remedy the matter. You constantly send statements to my home and e-mail knowing I cant contact through the phone numbers provided. I wrote and sent a letter to your XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX but no response. I wrote your Dispute XXXX XX/XX/XXXX but no response. ( letters attached ). Found a number ( XXXX ) on the reverse of a bill you sent and I finally got to Customer Service. Lady said she had to switch me but I got her to listen to the whole story- she was very nice and was sure she could help me. Told me to wait and she would try to find somethig out. Said she thought everything fine now and she put me on the phone with Fraud. The guys name was XXXX XXXX he reiterated the same old crap- I asked to be put in touch with Customer Service so I could make an arrangement to close the account- said he could not. I then inquired as to what was fraudulent and why no investigation. His answer was there were many scenarios- one being that I was deceased and a relative might be wanting to use the card since my credit was good and keep using long after my death. At that point I relized things were hopeless. I state the following : 1. There was never any fraud. 2. Never an investigation for fraud. 3. Negligence on the part of Capital One to anwser my queries and contacting me. XXXX. Damaging my perfect credit of many years - my credit score dropped XXXX points. due to your actions and added a delinquency that will remain for years. XXXX. Your actions caused me to lose 2 properties when the preapproved mortgages were denied after the score dropped. XXXX. Causing undue stress on an elderly person. ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Enclosed- I. Consumer Complaint: I was pre qualified to an XXXX XXXX from capital one {$0.00} annual fee 0 % apr on purchases and balance transfer for the first 15 months : after that a variable APR. After applying i was told that i could not apply for balance transfer for a 11 days this was XXXX XXXX. I did not try to get the balance transfer till XX/XX/XXXX, i was told that i had no balance transfer available. I than called the number on the letter i received. They connected me with a representative at CapitalOne. Who proceeded to tell me that i did have a balance transfer available. I was unable to do it at the time, because i did not have correct amount to tell them to transfer I spoke with them on XX/XX/XXXX. I said i would call back and asked that this was still in affect. She said yes. I called nine days later XXXXXXXX XXXX, and was told that I did not have the balance transfer. When asked how come XXXX days prior i had the balance transfer. I was told that it was their discretion to change their offer and that their policy on discretion superseded the law. Also that they can rescind their offers at anytime. They would not provide me with a letter of denial refused to speak with me because they thought i was recording the conversation, even though they were recording. I was told there was no supervisor for me to speak with. I feel that i was mislead given false information and discriminated My rights have been violated, This was misleading information. Representative ended the call because she did not hear me respond three times to her regarding my intent to record the call. I was told with the representative that i spoke with on XX/XX/XXXX that i had 15 months to do balance transfer from XX/XX/XXXX. I tried to resolve this problem. CapitalOne would not cooperate

Upon return to America, I called all 3 credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ) and froze all accounts. I requested credit reports. I discovered 5 accounts that were opened under my name and credit and had outstanding charges. I did not open these accounts. These are not cards that can be used anywhere, They are all store credit cards. The accounts are closed but still on my credit reports. The accounts are all now in default. XXXX XXXX # XXXX opened XX/XX/2022 amount charged {$3700.00}. credit limit {$4000.00} XXXX account # XXXX opened XX/XX/2022 amount charged {$3400.00}. credit limit {$6000.00} XXXX XXXX account opened XX/XX/2022 amount charged {$890.00}. credit limit {$1000.00} XXXX XXXX account # XXXX opened XXXX, 2022 amount charged {$1800.00}. credit limit {$2000.00} XXXX XXXX # XXXX opened XXXX, 2022 amount charged {$6300.00} I have also received mail from multiple other companies ( XXXX, XXXX 's XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX ) informing me that I have been declined a credit card. Consumer Complaint: I applied for a Capital One Venture X credit card. I was denied, supposedly for too much credit. I called and asked what was the specific issue. The agent would not tell me. I had an ING Direct savings account back in the early 2000s. This is covered all over the internet as to be an issue that Cap1 does not like these customers. Hello, Cap1 bought ING Direct. I am also XXXX man with a husband, retired with substantial assets. There seems to be discrimination issues being practiced at Capital One Bank.
