This happens for many people commented online citing that Capital One is out of room for new applicants. If that so, then please have Capital One stop recommending and marketing this product to avoid people applying and leaving a hard inquiry on credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Someone other than me tried to open a store credit card in my name through Kohls, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I believe only the Kohl 's charge was accepted, and that card was used for over XXXX dollars. The other cards were rejected but I have hard inquires on my credit report that were not started by me, and are fraudulent, and I would like removed. XXXX and XXXX require me to report these fraudulent inquires before I dispute them with them. I have spoke with Kohl 's and their fraud department is handling that account. I will call XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX tomorrow to alert them to this fraud as well. I am taking action to freeze my credit reports with all three to avoid this fraud in the future.
