Consumer Complaint: Kohl 's is canceling my store Kohl 's charge card I have had for years, and issuing me a Capital One Visa credit card, without my permission! I was not sent an application to apply for the Capital One Visa credit card. I was notified by mail it was going to happen. I did not request this to happen. I did not authorize them to pull my credit score, thereby damaging my rating my doing this. Also, by canceling the Kohl 's store credit card and opening a new Capital One Visa it will hurt by credit score. I notified them immediately by phone that I did not want the Capital One Visa credit card, and was told they would cancel the process, however that did not happen. Kohl 's customer service is overseas and the representatives do not speak good English or understand English well. Very frustrating. Notes on my file must not indicate the conversation that took place that I DID NOT WANT the Capital One Visa card! The information I received in the mail did not provide a contact phone number. I had to research on the internet to find a phone number and be transferred just to find a department that knew what was happening to the Kohl 's store credit card for select customers. A month later, ( this week ) I received an email to expect my NEW Capital One Visa credit card by the end of XXXX!! I do not want another Visa credit card at 30 % interest! Especially one I did not apply for! A store should not be allowed to make these decisions and hurt a person 's credit!

Consumer Complaint: Good Morning : During COVID-19 I informed Capital One of not being able to make payment for couple of month since the whole country/world was on hold. XX/XX/21 and XX/XX/21 I had an hardship advised the creditor of same. Even though I have been their client for over XXXX month, they still saw the need to report my payment late. I was under impression that there was a CARES Act and since I am in NY there were other executive laws signed into law to postpone reporting or payments. I immediately paid such accounts and brought them up to date, and have not been late ever since. I am very hard working XXXX XXXX and at the time has been bombarded with work and not being able to function as a normal person. I pleaded with the company to use the law and their common curtesy to remove the XXXX late payments ever on my credit so I can achieve my American Dream by purchasing a home for myself and my kids. This late payments during COVID time has caused to raise the interest on the Mortgage I am able to receive. I would like them to immediately report my account in good standing. Furthermore they can issue a letter mentioning my accounts were never late, and I can have the credit companies update same.

Consumer Complaint: I recently opened a checking account with Capital One. My debit card this week and I received it. I have been doing some international transactions with my money, because my home country is XXXX and I need to send money to my family over there. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a transfer through XXXX to XXXX, but yesterday I received an email from Capital One saying that my account would be investigated and could be permanently closed. Because of that email, I canceled the transfer made through XXXX and now I'm waiting for the refund, which will be done through Capital One in a few days. Today I called Capital One a few times trying to understand the reason for canceling my account and trying to get this account back, but they could not explain the reason for cancellation and did not give me an answer if the account could be reactivated. They just informed that they decided to cancel the account definitively. I would like to recover my account because I understand that the transactions I made were correct, I didn't do anything wrong. I'm just moving my own money. I am a XXXX and I am doing an exchange program in the United States of America, I have a visa ( XXXX ) for the XXXX Pair program.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to thank your company for the many great years of service that Ive experienced as a customer. I have been very loyal during this time ; however, I am requesting some assistance from you if possible. Ive experienced some rough patches in life that were very difficult to handle due to some personal issues. I have always tried my best to get every single payment in on time, however there were a few times in the past that I was late. Apart from those few late payments, my track record for paying on time has been great. However, the few times that I was late shows on my credit report, and this can make it extremely difficult and hard to qualify for a mortgage, auto loan etc. As Im sure you know. I would like to make a goodwill request to have some or all those late payments XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX removed from my credit. I called to find out why, I was told that because I had made online purchases during the time frame that I MUST have had the card in my possession. Consumer Complaint: Hello, Back in XXXX, I submitted a dispute regarding a Capital One Venture card ending in XXXX in which a settlement amount of {$320.00} ( current balance at the time ) was issued. I have yet to receive a settlement letter regarding this adjustment, but rather just a notification from my XXXX credit report that shows a settlement was reached and that the account was closed. ( attachment XXXX ) This account is showing as closed on my credit reports but the balance has not been adjusted, resulting in late payments showing up on my reports and affecting my score. Told them not to charge anything else to my card because I did not have the funds to cover it they said OK XXXX XXXX XXXX was covering it XXXX did not pay for all of it only a portion XXXX charged my card {$1500.00} to cover the amount after I told them do not change any thing other than the XXXX XXXX cleaning deposit that I agreed to I filled out an dispute on the charges with mastercard in XXXX they said they would send me a letter in mail of all the documents that they need the letter never showed up so I called the in XXXX to send me another paper got it XXXX sent in all the documents that I had even a email from my lawyer to XXXX were XXXX agreed to pay but did not so I contacted mastercard again in XXXX the lady said that the dispute was over the 90 days all I could do was write a letter and email to mastercard and thay would contact me back nobody ever did I called again in XXXX the same thing happened contacted again in XXXX thay said thay could not do anything about the charges even though thay raised my credit limit to cover the charges without my permission and the charges that told XXXX do not charge to my card mastercard told me thay couldn't do anything about the change that I had to pay it and she said she couldn't help me any more she was spinning her wheels and hung up on me when I called back after type in my card number thay decided the call three times XXXX charges my card after I told them not to Mastercard raised my credit limit without my permission and did everything they could to avoid helping me with the charges thay accepted without my permission are knowledge XXXX committed credit card fraud so did Mastercard and this seems to be OK with everyone but me I'm XXXX and a XXXX XXXX and a XXXX XXXX who is off on workman 's comp with a XXXX XXXX XXXX don't know when i can go back to work I'm doing everything I can to pay for everything but I can not afford to pay for a charge that didn't have my permission are knowledge thank you for you help
