Subissue: Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit

Consumer Complaint: When I 1st got my card I was told that my credit would be evaluated for an increase. It does not guarantee that my credit would be increased but it would be reviewed for consideration. I have received letters date XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX with a denial. I previously found a complaint and in the complaint response that I received from capital one they mentioned the SCRA that is for military that had nothing to do with the complaint that I made about what they were doing. Capital one is illegally denying me a credit line increase because they are not reviewing my credit report. On the most recent one they say that I have a consumer alert which is preventing them from reviewing my credit report. However if somebody would call me to identify me the same way that they had to do when I applied for this credit card as well as when I applied for the credit card that i was approved for in XXXX. They had to verify my identity because of the fact that I've gone through identity theft. I called tonight and I spoke to XXXX who refused to help me. And then I spoke to XXXX who basically interrupted me and stated that capital one does not make any contact with anyone when they're viewing credit which is false. I am now just making a complaint because somebody needs to know what they're illegally doing. You can not tell me that I have a consumer alert is preventing you from accessing my credit but you're not reaching out to me to resolve it. Because if you can do it when I initially get credit then you can do it now. That's again in direct violation of Reg Z, you must tell the truth and they're lying. This is unfairness and it feels like racism.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One persists in charging my checking account for previously disputed and credited XXXX recurring charge. Charges were disputed and reversed. Recurring {$100.00} charge from XXXX is not authorized, not recognized, has been repeatedly disputed. XXXX account has long been closed. No recurring charges are authorized. Capital One checking account XXXX was closed over fraudulent recurring charges. Capital reopens account and replaces false recurring charges after they were already disputed and reversed.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom This May Concern, I pulled my credit report from each bureau to start the 2023 year. I noticed that there were some inaccuracies in my report on multiple accounts. I decided to mail validation letters to XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX on XX/XX/2023. In the letter I asked for each bureau to verify that the information was correct on the accounts in question. I never got a response from XXXX. XXXX and XXXX both verified all information as being accurate and they responded within 30 days. The information HAD NOT CHANGED AT ALL, BUT WAS CLAMIED TO BE VERIFIED. THIS IS A CLEAR VIOLATION OF THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT! I repeated this same process on XX/XX/2023. The bureaus received the Validation letters on XX/XX/2023. The only bureau that responded was XXXX. They sent a detailed copy of my credit report. They were still claiming that the information was accurate. After pulling my credit report once again. ALL THREE bureaus are still reporting different : High Credit Limits Last Reported Dates Date Last Active Date of Last Payment Different Balances The bureaus lied to me and said that the issues were corrected, but they clearly have not been corrected. This a VIOLATION OF MY RIGHTS UNDER THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT. If each bureau is receiving accurate information on these accounts then all the items I listed should be reporting the SAME ACROSS ALL THREE BUREAUS!

I've since gotten back on track, and the creditors still report late payments on my charges. 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 - Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies ( F ) Reporting information during XXXX pandemic ( i ) Definitions In this subsection : ( I ) Accommodation The term accommodation includes an agreement to defer 1 or more payments, make a partial payment, forbear any delinquent amounts, modify a loan or contract, or any other assistance or relief granted to a consumer who is affected by the coronavirus XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) pandemic during the covered period. ( II ) Covered period The term covered period means the period beginning on XX/XX/XXXX and ending on the later of ( aa ) 120 days after XX/XX/XXXX ; or ( XXXX ) 120 days after the date on which the national emergency concerning the novel coronavirus XXXX ( XXXX ) outbreak declared by the President on XX/XX/XXXX under the National Emergencies XXXX ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX et seq. ) terminates. ( ii ) Reporting Except as provided in clause ( XXXX ), if a furnisher makes an accommodation with respect to 1 or more payments on a credit obligation or account of a consumer, and the consumer makes the payments or is not required to make 1 or more payments pursuant to the accommodation, the furnisher shall ( I ) report the credit obligation or account as current; or ( XXXX ) if the credit obligation or account was delinquent before the accommodation ( aa ) maintain the delinquent status during the period in which the accommodation is in effect; and ( bb ) if the consumer brings the credit obligation or account current during the period described in item ( aa ), report the credit obligation or account as current. Consumer Complaint: Today [ XX/XX/XXXX ] I ran XXXX report for all 3 credit bureaus. XXXX stated Excellent credit. XXXX Good, Kohls/CAPONE has put negative credit on my report as of XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I ran XXXX report with XXXX with score above XXXX, today score is down XXXX points to mid XXXX 's. Big red Flag!! I reached out to XXXX IdentityWorks - credit monitoring which was given for settlement with a data breach with XXXX. No red flag showing up on XXXX Identity Works but it did on my XXXX credit report. I spoke with XXXX at XXXX. While looking at the report there where two reports for the same card. One positive and one negative. The negative report appeared on my report after XX/XX/XXXX. The credit report show the previous opportunity was paid in full in XXXX XXXX. There has been no activity on my card, nor have I canceled the card. Kohls/CAPONE has listed up and till XX/XX/XXXX " OK ''. Now for XX/XX/XXXX on one report showing " CO '' and account closed with one month pasted due. I have not used the card since XXXX XXXX. How can it be past due, when it was paid in full in XXXX XXXX, and listed on all 3 credit bureas as " OK '' since that time? XXXX and his supervisors that he spoke to several times over the 1 hour 15 minute phone call could not explain the two reports on their file. I then contact Kohls and they didn't provide any asisstance. I asked to speak to supervisor and was told know. I then called Capital One Credit card and told to call Kohls again, then asked for a Supervisor and got the run around, so I hung up. I have records showing the card was paid off in full and okay since that time. This negative report just appeared on my XXXX line of credit. This not acceptable. Per the rules : '' If the credit reporting company violates the FCRA, they can be held liable for actual damages and attorney fees. In the case of a willful failure to comply with FCRA requirements, the company can be liable for actual or statutory damages and punitive damages ''. I learned this today ; " An individual has several options available to fight the reinsertion of a negative trade line such as : Request a new investigation with the credit reporting agencies. Add a consumer statement to his or her credit report. File a lawsuit against the creditor committing the reinsertion ''. I want to know why Kohls/CAPONE, claims I am one month past due, when this was settled by the records I have in XXXX XXXX and reported to all XXXX credit bureaus? I have the records from the XXXX credit bureaus showing this account has been okay up to and through XX/XX/XXXX. I haven't used the card since XXXX or canceled the card. The company once again has not mailed me or emailed anything, except flyers to purchase items from their store. Kohls/CAPONE have violated the FRCA ruling and are commiting Fraud!!

Instead of rewarding their long time customers, they chose to use deceptive practices to lower rates while offering new similar products at the rates I expected my accounts to keep. There was zero communication about transaction of my type of savings account to a low ( kids ) rate account. I never consented the change.

Consumer Complaint: Ive recently checked my credit report and I see there are accounts that Ive never opened and I need them removed IMMEDIATELY! My grandmother that I used to live with XXXX XXXX open this account using my information trying to so call help me when I never asked for this account open.I never knew about this account till now I had a problem going on where she was using my information so I couldnt move and leave her home so when I do ever go to get a apartment I cant because of her messing it up and the police got involved and she lied multiple times. She has opened multiple accounts in my name even a loan and I dont know how to even get a loan I just turned XXXX. Please remove this from my credit report. XXXX Ive called yall about a late payment because She messed it up she has access to all my information Ive mad a police report because shes trying to mess my life up since I left her home.she had access to my bank account since I was connected to her bank account before I was able to make my own. Remove the late payment from my credit report or close the account and remove it.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I was checking my email and noticed that XXXX Bank had sent me XXXX emails informing me about my new credit card the problem was that I had not applied for a new credit card. I proceeded to call XXXX Bank to report this fraud. They canceled the card and told me they would report it as fraudulent. They advised me to add a credit alert in the Credit bureaus. That day I called XXXX and added a credit alert to my account. On XX/XX/2023, I received a phone message from Capital One Bank telling me that they were trying to contact me about my recent credit card application the problem was again I had not applied for a credit card with any bank. I proceeded to call Capital One Bank and informed them that I had not applied for a credit card. I then opened an account in XXXX to check the hard inquiries on my account and also notice that there was another attempt to open a credit card under my name on XXXX XXXX XXXX. I also called them and informed them that this was a fraudulent application they told me that they would cancel the application and report it as fraudulent. I then called XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX to freeze my credit.
