Consumer Complaint: Received a threatening letter from Capital One Bank USA and a Sheriffs office stating that my wages are going to be garnished soon and Im been served in court. I never received any previous proper documents or proper court citation ; they Ive tried contacting my employer and said they will send the wage garnishment letter without previously providing me account accuracy or any modes of account verification even though the law states that is harassment and its prohibited. If that happens I know my employer will let me go. I am a single mother of XXXX living paycheck to paycheck, no public assistance with over {$6000.00} behind in rent trying to provide for my family and also helping my mom and sister that had a car accident few months back and are unemployed. This will put me in an even worst financial situation and just because I tried fixing my credit.

Consumer Complaint: I signed up for the Capital One Quiksilver card due to a promotional advertisement for a 0 % interest on purchases for 12 months. They deceptively do not put the expiration date on the promotional rate on any monthly statement. I therefore called to ask when it expired and was informed by a representative the date was XX/XX/23. I paid the balance in full on XX/XX/23. Subsequently I have been charged interest from XXXX because the representative I called after seeing assessed interest charges said that the promo rate expired on XXXX. I asked for the {$15.00} in interest charge to be waived and she said they would not do that. Feel duped and very disappointed in the customer service and also in the deceptive marketing, practice, and lack of transparency on when the promo rate expires.

Consumer Complaint: I have four fraudulent charges on my XXXX credit card of {$30.00} each totaling {$120.00} from the company " XXXX ''. These charges are unrecognized and fraudulent. On numerous occasions, 4+, I have contacted Capital One in regards to these unrecognized and incorrect charges. I have provided them all the information they require, of which I have proof. Capital One is not removing these charges from my account, even though they are completely unrecognized. Capital One is legally required to remove these fraudulent charges from my account, yet they are not doing so. Not only does this issue affect the safety of my account but it is not legal. In addition, Capital One is being deliberately difficult and misleading, constantly connecting me to overseas call centers whenever I reach out in regards to this issue, which makes communication on this issue very difficult- they know this and do it on purpose. I have been a long time customer, have always paid my bill on time and have never had any financial complications with this card. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue with them sincerely and directly, they are purposely refusing to rectify this issue and violating consumer law.
